PT was disappointing at a few times per week and about 20 mins per session. The room service was horrible, sometimes up to an hour after pressing the Call button. Food was tasty but often arrived up to an hour after standard meal times, and often cold. The aides were a mixed bag. Some were downright nasty and my wife advised that one yelled at her and made her cry. At meal times, the whole staff seemed to go eat at the same time, leaving no one to service patients. I'd stay away from this place and choose a smaller facility with more personable service. Its administratively out of control up to the top. They need a Quality task force composed of top management and line workers to view the daily routine and get intensive feedback from the patients. BOTTOM LINE: STAY AWAY UNTIL MANAGEMENT POSTS THEIR REPORT ON HOW THEY'VE CLEANED THINGS UP

There was no consideration for our mom when deciding whether she needed more treatment or to boot her out.

If you are looking for a place where your loved one will be treated with love, and compassion, and where they are respected and safe, this is the place for them to reside. As you enter the Solana doors you are always greeted with a smiling and professional receptionist. Joanne has been such a pleasant source of supportive care with her sweet and caring disposition. In 2024 my mother transitioned over to the Memory Care Wing. Alaina, the Memory Care Director was amazing throughout this difficult process. Her empathetic care, gentleness and patience has warmed our hearts as my mother always has a smile on her face when Alaina is present. The staff, including the aides, nurses and med techs are extremely attentive to each resident's needs and treat everyone with respect and warmth. Whenever my family has questions about my mother's health concerns, Adria, one of the nurses, has been incredibly supportive with her medical expertise and follow-up. A special shout out goes to Steve for his wonderful sense of humor and warmhearted personality. He keeps the residents active with such activities as daily aerobic classes, craft activities, weekly live music, lots of card and brain games and scenic drives. The care and respect that is given to each resident and family member is commendable. Thank you all at The Solana for being such shining stars, for loving Mom and for all that you ALL have done for our family.

The staff was constant, receptive and always seemed caring to residents and families visiting their loved ones. Unfortunately, the past 2 years have been so very disappointing. The staff was constantly changing and lacked continuity which is exactly what people with dementia need. I would walk in and the staff never acknowledged me. Half of the time, the staff were sitting around on their phones ignoring residents. My father's room was always dirty. There was one occasion where he or another resident had an accident and there were feces all over the carpet and walls of his room. I asked them to please clean it up and I was told that maintenance was not working on Sunday's so it would have to wait. The next day I returned and the room was still in the same condition. My father has since passed and the last few weeks of his life at Solana were stressful and heart breaking. He was falling up to four times per day and still staff did not assist him to his room. It is important to mention that the newly assigned director of the facility should be ashamed of himself. He does not follow through with anything that he promises and is unprofessional. The facility shows nicely, but don't let the lovely decor fool you.

They had a brown out with no backup generator. My mom was out of oxygen for 10 minutes before someone came in to help her - she thought she was going to die. Also I was there when she pressed the emergency button around her neck and no one came to help for 30 minutes. Also they couldn't figure out her room temp. Every time I came in it was 85 degrees! Please don't send your loved ones here.

My parents aged out at Telford, starting in independent living and then moving through every level…read moreof care that they had (Skilled, Personal Care, and finally Memory Care). I was not a fan of them moving in due to my perception of "nursing homes" but I learned otherwise in the four+ years they were there. Literally every single person we interacted with from the nursing staff to rehab to cooks, laundry, maintenance staff, etc. was like family. The professional level of care that my parents received (and us as their family) cannot be overstated except to compare it to the compassion that went with it. We were really clueless about what the last years of their lives was going to entail, and the staff here did it so much better than we ever could have. My husband and I ended up getting on the waiting list and now have a deposit down on one of the carriage homes being built; it doesn't get any better than this for end of life experiences. Aside from the fact that the carriage homes are gorgeous, the kind of care that is there as a "safety net" is exactly what we want. The added bonus is us both being on the same campus if one of us starts to fail in later years; not only does the other one not have to move, they can walk to visit, take meals and do activities together, and in some cases actually be together in the advanced care. (My parents were together in Memory Care.). I highly recommend Lutheran Home @ Telford.

My father moved into independent living while my mom had to go into skilled nursing. My father is able to visit my mom everyday since they were located within the same campus. Bad weather no problem, you only have to walk across an enclosed bridge. The various levels of care both my parents have been receiving is exemplary. Telford Lutheran is like the Ritz Carlton of care facilities. When I would visit my Aunt in Florida I wondered why she did not get the same care at her facility. She was paying almost the same every month. Telford may be a little more than other communities but it shows in the care and people they hire. If you are searching for a place for your parents I would put Telford Lutheran on your list to review. You will not be disappointed.

My Aunt recently told me about the fire alarms going off at all hours of the day and night. I experienced it first hand a couple of days ago. While visiting the alarm went off and it was so loud and startling. I can't imagine having to deal with this on a regular basis. Apparently one of the residents is pulling the alarm and management doesn't know how to deal with the problem. Recently one of the residents came into my Aunt's room and startled her. My Aunt went out into the hallway and screamed for help - no response. When she tried to re-enter her room, the intruder shoved her. This is not the place for my loved one, nor is it for yours! They certainly put on a good appearance as it is clean and most of the aides are nice but management is horrendous. Older people deserve to be safe and have decent meals. This place is a disgrace. I'm sorry that I had to give 1 star in order to post my review.

While the facility itself could use some updating (that's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) the Staff is incredible and they were extremely helpful during my Mother's stay at the facility. Nurses Anna and Vicky were incredible and my Mother, who was not the easiest patient, liked them very much. Unfortunately while at the facility my Mother's health declined quickly (not due to the treatment by the facility) and they helped me to transition my Mother to Hospice and made it possible for my Mom to go home to her own house for her final days. The Director of Nursing and the facility Manager were incredibly helpful in setting up Hospice and were extremely supportive of me as the caretaker. I am grateful to the staff and would recommend them to anyone.
