He didn't even try to look for it. It also had decorative straps and buckles, which I knew I had to either get rid of or replace. They weren't on there at all and he said they never were on there. Just like normal I tried on the shirt and he pinned it as a guide for alteration. I asked a cost and he said $17 per shirt. Not a big deal I'm used to paying $14 per shirt back home. When I got the shirts home and tried them on they fit well, the problem is the quality of the stitching. From the outside the material is bunched up in certain places and he did not trim the excess material on the inside. It's too late now because nothing can be done once the sides were stitched. Unfortunately there are not a lot of seamstress places close to where I'm staying and the ones here have terrible reviews. So I rolled the dice! It's not a super fancy shirt, just a Michael Kors cotton button-down; no polyester, lycra, or other blend of material. I tailor most of my clothes so I know what's right and what to expect. I can say this though, the owner was extremely nice, super friendly, with quick turnaround time - but like others have mentioned the tailoring is not very good. As far as dry cleaning goes he seems to have a lot of customers dropping off clothes.

The customer service is like none other as it is top notch, and she works with your garments as if they were her own. I initially began using the service when I could not find anyone to get stains out of my daughter's favorite coat. When I picked up the coat, all of the stains were out. I then took my favorite dress after a lunch in which I spilled a thick oil and vinegar dressing on it. The owner worked so hard to get the stain out. I googled some local options and Kim's came up and had excellent reviews, so I thought I'd give it a try. To say the least, I am happy I came here. She is so friendly and nice. It only cost $14 to dry clean the entire ASU; pants, shirt, and jacket. I dropped it off on a Thursday and she first said it would be ready by Tuesday. When I told her that I needed it sooner, she had it ready on Saturday. Just a great little shop! If I would have found this place sooner; I would have had her do my tailoring. So, if you need uniforms tailored and dry cleaned; come here first!! She is such a nice and professional person; and felt like a true community business. The only downfall, which is not her fault, but the parking lot NEEDS to be repaved... so be careful, some of the biggest potholes I've seen.

There are 3 elements to any service related industry - quality, cost effectiveness and of course service. In comparison to the competitors in the area, Swan wins the battle hands down. On my first trip there, I took a number of shirts, a suit and pants. Several of the shirts were suffering from a bad case of ring around the collar, something created by me, but left by the other cleaners. They looked at each piece and tagged what might need extra service. I also had them repair a belt loop that came off at the immediate predecessor to Swan. In looking at the items upon their return, Swan excelled! No ring and no bad loop, just clean starched shirts, along with a repaired suit and cleaned pants. A. The cost for the service and cleaning was excellent in relation to the quality and the number of items. A. And finally, the store was small but warm, with a small fish pond right up front. The woman who has been there both times was equally pleasant. A. Not sure I'd go off the deep end and say they were the best cleaners I've ever used, but without question, they are the best I have encountered during my time in Chesterfield.
