My two complaints: 1) the change machine was broken and I had to trudge across the parking lot in the rain to get money for the machines. 2) There is a sign advertising Wifi for customers, but the password is nowhere to be found. Since my primary purpose for coming here was to wash clothes, I guess it could be worse, but it would have been nice to get some work done while I waited- especially since it is so wonderfully quiet!

The washers take about 25 min and the dryers take about 30 min. The prices are the best I've found in the area, $1.75 for washing and about $0.75 to get your clothes dry. I would recommend bringing something to eat or drink, there is a soda machine but it is overpriced. They have some mismatched chairs to sit on and a television that has worked all but one of the times I've been (beware though, you cannot change the channel, so bring some backup entertainment). They have plenty of carts and folding tables. They advertise as having air conditioning, and they did the first time i went, but then there was a big storm and they haven't had it since (there's a sign up saying they are working to get it fixed, but I have my doubts) so don't go during the hottest part of the day. The place has been clean (for a laundromat) every time I've been.

Swan Cleaners is a small, unassuming shop located in a small shopping center. After several…read moreexperiences with them, I have nothing but great things to say about them. I take dry cleaning here about once a month and the store is always packed with dry cleaning waiting for pickup. You can tell that they do good business here. They dry clean everything from dresses, to suits, to military uniforms (duty and dress). The gentlemen that works there will look you up using your phone number and will inventory the items you bring, print you a receipt and send you on your way with a "God Bless" in a matter of minutes. Not only is he efficient, but he's got integrity too. Once, I brought several uniforms in to get dry cleaned. We inventoried them while still on the hangers, but for some reason I had a uniform top without a matching pair of pants. I thought that perhaps I had forgotten them in my closet or dropped them in the house while carrying 14+ hangers of clothes to the car at one time. After a while I got a phone call - the gentleman informed me that he found the pair of pants...sharing a hanger with one of my tops (none of the other uniform sets were that way). I thanked him and stopped back by the store later that evening to get a new receipt from him. The dry cleaning is always very good. I've had issues in the past with other dry cleaners in that they leave small spots of starch on some of your clothing. I've not had that experience here. Prices are fair. The last time I visited I paid ~$60 for my wife's dress, my suit, several dress shirts, dress pants and 10 uniform pieces. Wish I still had the receipt to provide an accurate breakdown for you all, but bottom line - this is the best dry cleaners (price, quality and timeliness) in Petersburg. It's worth the extra drive to frequent a business that cares about their customers.
