I was in dire need of a rescue mission to salvage my hair after a failed peekaboo highlight job. I gave Sara creative freedom after I told her basically what I had hoped to do. She lifted my hair, gave me beautiful blue purple highlights, and trimmed my hair. All I had intended to have done was a trim and a deep condition. I'm really glad she told me what she thought she could do with the color, I am not disappointed. She is also very skilled with cutting hair. Very precise scissoring, rather than chunky layering which most lazy hairdressers do IMO. The atmosphere was very chic, relaxing, boho modern trendy. The lady said "well we don't have a reception area because we're in construction" even though there was chair in front of me. No Hello, how are you, afternoon, you can sit here...I was shocked at the prices as they were higher than I had ever seen. Starting price for foil and cut $185.00 just a starting point according to their literature. I told the stylist what had occurred and she said "that is the owner". I said it was not professional especially for an owner. We talked about the prices and I said I would treat myself today. She said "great and maybe you'll like it and come back". She put a cape on me, washed my hair and said she had to go and mix the color. While I waited, the original lady came in and sat down next to me and said "Tina told me you had issues." I explained to her what my perception was. She became very combative and offered no apology. She said she was not short or rude to me "as she has it on camera". She mentioned her cameras three times. She said and you have an issue with the price. Now this is booth rental plain and simple. Each stylist sets their fees and I said I am not going to discuss it as Tina and I have already talked about it and she sets her own fees. She then told me I was not supposed to just come into the salon and there is sign on the door that says that. I said I did not see it but maybe I should have been told when I booked the appt. She said and "we email blasted to everyone and if you didn't get it then you opted out." I told her I did not received anything. Finally, I said well I can leave and she said "please do". She then stood up and was coming towards my back and I said Please do not touch me. She said "well this is my property and I'm getting it" meaning the cape. I said I will remove it. As I was about to leave, I realized my hair was soaking wet and I said what about my wet hair to which she said "I asked you to leave and I will call law enforcement if I have to". I told her go ahead for what? Needless to say, save you money unless you want to be treated like the above!
