I didn't realize at the time just how much heat was being used on my hair -- but now I know. And was also a little anxious because I wear hearing aids, take them out when getting a haircut and had a stylist once (at a different location no where near here!) in which i couldn't hear and it ruined the whole experience. My mom made an appointment online for me, originally with nicole. On Saturday, and a little annoying because I was at work, and thank goodness I had time to answer my phone, but the receptionist danielle called me and said that Nicole no longer works there, but can switch to Margaret. I said sure and that was that. Now because I was at work, I don't understand why she could have just changed that via their website or via a text. Just some feedback. Anyways, First time in this Salon, walked in and had to wait a while to get checked in. Finally someone came and checked me in. She was pleasant. Then after a few minute Margaret came out and gave me a warm welcome. My mom was also there, but as moral support and as support for my hard of hearing, as she told her about it. She seemed to understand because she spoke loud enough where I can hear. And told her exactly what I wanted, which was a trim (about 3 inches), and what kind of style i wanted. First Margaret Dry cut it, then we shampooed and conditioned, then cut again, and dried the hair in a wavy pattern that looked straight. however, I absolutely loved my new look for the day. Price was 67.00, now on their website it does say haircuts are $40.00 and the add ons like shampoo and blowout add cost to it. But anyways, I think it was a reasonable price. I thought that's a weird tone to have with a new customer and oh when I arrived today I realize where the nastiness came from. I ask her how much does it cost for her to detangle it for me she responded it will take to much of her time and it's a separate service so I ask again how much does it cost she walk away and said I will get back to you mind you it was me and another client in her chair who was getting her hair press. Instead of being professional and telling me a price she walk away and hand me a comb. I believe she thought I couldn't afford the service. After sitting at wash station and thinking about why a hairstylist don't want to do her JOB. And I just came back from a deployment I am active army I serve 6 years in the military and I was visiting my family in town. After reading all the reviews on Vega Hair Design I decided on this salon. Then reading each artist's specialities and history--they were ALL amazing but I chose Greg based on his color speciality. He was booked solid but was able to work me for a cut during color processing of another patron. He knew exactly how to cut my hair for my head shape and face features. The cut was one of the most flattering short cuts in a while. Although my hair is short, it now has its own pizzaz! I was so thrilled I left the salon smiling and haven't stopped smiling! Will definitely be back and try out his color art! Call me grateful!
