She was very knowledgeable of the techniques in making the wisk brooms. They can be used for very small tasks and are decorative. This as all the library classes are free to attend backed by the Minnesota legacy fund. Thank you! This is such a great program!!

There were 2 that were hot and 2 cold. We had BLT, Queso, Artichoke and cheesecake caramel. We were able to try all of them at the end of the class. All were very tasty. That was a technique that needs a lot of practice. The weaving was pretty easy. The instructor was well prepared and knowledgable of the craft. Anna was from the textile center in Minneapolis. These classes are funded by the legacy fund through the state. They are great classes at your local libraries. You do need to register before going to the class. The staff allowed us in early as there was no one booked ahead of us. The library is a good size and had all that you could want or need. It was easy to book the room online too! They said that you can have 1 reservation per week.

I wanted a basketball and they were very rude because I just wanted another one and she looks at me very weird compared to her other guest. She kept on lying to me saying things like "you come here" just because I seemed underage.

I like this Center very much and utilize many of the facilities and programs. However, I have…read morenoticed a serious problem in the area of the tread mills and electric exercise equipment. There is no signage that children are not allowed in or on them. I witnessed 2 young boys age 8, 9, 10 running around in there trying to use the tread mills...turning them way up almost getting hurt. I told them they should not play on the equipment. However, there is no supervision, or sign saying "children are not allowed on the equipment". If a child gets hurt up there New Brighton could be sued for no signage stating this. I told the front desk and they said they have cameras watching, but there is nothing to state no children and no help available if they get hurt & the front desk is too busy to watch what is going on up there all the time. This is dangerous for kids and dangerous for NBCC if someone gets hurt.

Each window view (other that the ones facing west) was scenic. Ramsey County took down the trees and built this crappy, uninteresting rectangular block instead. The fake "fireplace" is really a joke (I know laughing out loud in the library is frowned upon). The outlook out to the south is now the ugly 97 highway. Still, it houses the books and everything else that the RCL offers, just in a ugly rectangle.

First time visiting and I have to come back. The glass art on display was absolutely stunning. The…read morelighting is done so well to enhance what you are seeing. I tried to capture my fav piece by walking a video around it but the video just doesn't do it justice. You must see in person. I worked for West Publishing when Mr Cafesjian was an executive there so I have some familiarity with his love of art. It's hard to imagine some of these pieces being part of his home. Such beauty to view everyday. The museum is open to the public but you need to make a reservation at the set times. The guide is very knowledgeable and spends about 20 minutes talking then walks around the museum answering your questions. She was wonderful and a nice addition to the tour. Some of the pieces are on loan so stop back on occasion to see new art.
