After several years of popping in to this lot when car shopping , and a number of factors that have led to us thinking good things, I am trying to condense our positive experiences into JUST the ones where we bought a car. You're welcome. There are a lot of moving parts when making a car purchase. Will you deal with pushy salespeople? Will you *really* get a good price? Will the trade in be a hassle? Will the finance department mess you over? All of these are things we dread about car shopping. Which is where Another Time has offered a refreshing difference each time we've been there. As parents, and consumers with plenty of car purchases under our belts (for better or worse), we had worries about our young adult's first independent car purchases. And TWICE now, Another Time has exceeded our expectations. First, a few years ago, with the purchase of an older Camry. A great deal, friendly but NOT pushy sales support, and straightforward pricing with no hidden charges at the contract signing. As for the car itself, we had eyes wide open on what to reasonably expect from a 14 year old used car for $3,000, and so should you. No matter what you buy, from ANYONE, it will need something. So we had no surprises. Second, and most noteworthy was our experience today. Our son was financing a car for the first time on his own. We have been looking all over town in what has proven to be a very difficult car market. We had been on this lot previously and not found anything he liked. Last night the car he has been dreaming of was posted at a very fair price. Knowing how quickly cars move on this lot, we were there today at 8 a.m. Our son checked the Carfax, test drove and decided it was all systems go on the purchase. We then moved on to the trade in, where we negotiated a fair offer given the condition of the car. Everything was moving quickly, next we were headed to finance (this is the part where things often go south). He had taken our advice of being preapproved by a neutral 3rd party bank before shopping at the dealerships. We shared the preapproved rate with Robert in finance, and he started the process of seeing how he could beat it. Here's the thing. When someone both ENJOYS and is GOOD at what they do, it's evident in how hard they work to help, and how genuine they are in the transaction. Robert pulled off what we thought NO ONE could. He dropped that rate, for a young first time car buyer, from 11% to 6.49%! His excitement for my son was genuine and he truly made the transaction as easy as possible with his patience and knowledge. Everything was transparent, there were no hidden surprises. Polar opposite of what we've experienced at the big box dealerships. My son drove home today in an AWESOME Toyota at what seems to be a great deal all the way around. We are confident he won't be upside down in his loan, and will have a car that lasts several years. Continued to convince me to look at all of their cars. Looked at a different car and they said it was clean title and when I went on the Carfax report THEY provided me and it was restored title. This place is great because they don't have commission based sales. They have a large selection and are constantly getting "new" used cars in. The buying process was quick and efficient. beware please go to another dealership. dishonest, greedy, don't even bother to make an appointment here. the salesperson was dishonest if you never listen to another customer review, you will thank me later. this had nothing to do with credit, and everything to do with greed and dishonesty making the highest sale, getting a bonus, the frightened consumers, our president has already destroyed the cfpb. i gave them a chance to make things right before putting this review because i started with this dealership on monday and they are definitely false advertising a honda accord, priced low to real people in. the goal is to get your information, a so-called pre-approval and then to run your credit for a higher vehicle that you don't want, that you never seen, does not within your budget if they can get away with it. #do not give them any of your information for pre-qualifying, if they say good news, hang up anything that sounds too good to be true is unless you know financing. #they mistook my credit score for my iq level and thought that because i was a woman and needed a car that they would get over on me and if i'm wrong they can call me and make it right and i'll remove my honest review. in arizona, it is illegal for a car dealership to run a "hard" credit check without your written consent, especially for an amount and a vehicle that you did not discuss, have never test drove, plus say you were looking at a car that was $8,000 but they ran your credit and installed a loan putting in your down payment amount as an installment on your credit with a bank for $16,000 double the price of the vehicle you were looking at. the fair credit reporting act (fcra) requires a dealership to have a "permissible purpose," such as a signed credit application, to pull your credit. if they ran your credit for a vehicle you did not agree to, it may be a violation. you can dispute the inquiry with credit bureaus and may have the right to sue for damages. 1.you may select a vehicle within your budget, that would be within your financial budget as far as payment if your financing but their goal is to maximize profit not customer satisfaction while making a profit. 2. they will try and put you in a vehicle that has been unsold the longest. 3. me the car i asked for, their sales rep ran my credit under false pretenses, told me the bank "wouldn't approve it," and then tried to stick me with a $15,000 piece of junk at double the price and a higher payment than i ever agreed to. 4. it's not about the bank--it's about them trying to move overpriced cars nobody wants. this dealership treated me like i didn't matter, ignored what i asked for, and played games to trap me in unnecessary debt. i'm a real customer with real money who was ready to buy, and they blew it. it has zero to do with my credit and everything to do with maximizing profit over customer satisfaction, customer recommendation, they read me wrong. this vehicle wasn't for me, it was really for my child as a congratulations for finishing high school with honors and her first semester of college so that she can get around hence why i chose the car i chose but that didn't matter to them. ***"word of mouth is everything--since this experience, instead of referring the 6 people waiting on my recommendation. their salesman put a $17,000 loan on my credit without my permission on a vehicle i've never seen and would never agree to buy, that's dishonesty, greed and an overzealous sales department, it was too much like right to just sell me the car i want it instead of lying saying i wasn't approved or the bank wouldn't finance it, because they assumed i was desperate or that my credit score reflected my iq i guess they missed the part where i told him i just took the arizona bar exam. i'm already fighting identity theft on my credit. the economy is in great right now so if you find a person that has a good job and means to make a monthly payment and has a down payment why not assist them instead of trying to maximize profit and move a car that's very expensive to repair has a bad reputation, and just isn't for me i didn't call their dealership asking their salesman to pick a car for me that was convenient for them i asked them to help me out in a situation and i even picked a random vehicle to pretend like i wanted it that was cheaper and they still found a lie to say no and put me in a more expensive one with a payment that no bank would approve almost the amount of my mortgage so that shows their dishonesty and i don't know if this is okay with the sales department or the owner of this company because he may be a very good salesman for them but in life you should treat everyone the way you want to be treated. read more

A couple years ago, went to this place in large part due to my dislike of full on dealerships. Found a car that I liked and at a decent price via the Blue Book. While inspecting that vehicle I was looking for glaring problems that would be costly after buying it as no one wants to get stuck with a "lemon." What I didn't notice was that this car was a base model while it had been advertised as the model with all the upgrades. So this place had falsely listed it with the details of the model with more value, but with it being the bade model was overpriced. A couple days later when I went back to point this out to them, the manager I spoke to was not very sympathetic and said they just copy and past when making the ads implying they make no effort to verify the accuracy. He offered to do a brake job for me to compensate for this misleading business practice, but I have a friend who does the work for me, so this was of no use to me. So if this is not enough to ward you off from this place, just understand they may falsely misrepresent what's for sale and verify every single detail that is of importance to you, not just the big stuff. read more

I went here last saturday in search of a car i saw online, it ended up just leaving the lot before i got here, but i saw a cute silver car that caught my eye, I met kevin who was a no pressure, honest salesman, knew all about the car and showed me the great features, i actually took it on two test drives, one around the neighborhood and another on the freeway. I was very impressed by how clean and nice the car was, i was worried about the price and was tempted to buy it but i went to another place for a test drive, their car was the same price but no where near as nice of a car. Its a shame that this place has a less than perfect score, as my experience with John himself was nothing short of perfect. I went in with my sights set on a car they had advertised online. He was kind enough to drive me around the block (I'm still learning to drive manual cars). He was very friendly the whole time. According to online sources, I paid a fair price (which I thought was fair before checking those sites). Since I couldn't drive two cars home, he was nice enough to drive the car across the street to a bigger parking lot for me because I was going to call a tow truck to tow it home. Saw a sweet deal online that I couldnt pass up. This particular truck (newer model Toyota Tundra Crewmax) couldnt be found anywhere at this price in California. I decided to fly to Arizona because it was worth it and I knew it would sell fast. I met with the Finance Mgr Robert, very cool guy, friendly likeable and good sense of humor. I bought a 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek Premium with 98k miles from them in the spring, car was priced at like $14k or something. The whole thing came out to $18k. A week into having the car, the battery died. Autozone said the brackets were too tight, squeezing the battery and making it pop and leak fluid- thankfully not onto anything. A month into having the car, the check engine light came on and pulled a p0420 code. I took it to several mechanics; it needs a complete catalytic converter replacement. The cost for that is $4k. About three months into having the car, it needed CV axle replacement. $500. And now, after taking it in again, the gasket is leaking oil onto the catalytic converter. $800. The lower control arms need to be replaced. $1.1k. The drive belt needs to be replaced. $200. The radio screen broke. $1.5k just for a new radio, haven't fixed it. In addition to all of this, the car desperately needed a coolant flush, brake fluid flush, cabin air filter, engine air filter, and who knows what else is going to pop up. Also- they sold me a "complete coverage warranty" that has only covered the radio screen so far- but only some of it, not the whole thing. I called them about the dead battery a week after buying it, no reimbursement, no help, nothing. I called them with questions about the warranty. No help. This was my first time buying a car from a dealership and not from someone I know, and I was completely taken advantage of and sold a car that has ruined me financially. I don't have any parental or familial guidance to help me with things like that. In total, I will have to put over $8k into this car to get it into decent shape so it'll last me long enough to pay this piece of junk off. The prices of the fixes aren't the moral of the story, so don't comment and tell me I'm getting ripped off. The moral of the story is that they sold me a POS and smiled as I drove away. And now they're going to call my a liar, say I'm trying to make them look bad, that the car was PERFECT when it left the lot. Watch the unprofessional that ensues, and ask if that's who you want to spend thousands of dollars with. read more

They have ok cars, but we could not get the numbers we wanted the way we wanted upfront....kind of a duck and dive, 60% is good enough approach, so they might take the same approach with the cars. Another Time Used Cars has continued to go beyond his legal rights and makes calls direct to me, to my attorney, send men to my house pounding on my front door, and sent threatening text messages. He just can't get it that when you have had to turn to attorneys for help, you have to work through them. For those that think this man is wonderful, I just want you to know that my reviews are not rants, but true statements. We saw an ad online for a 2006 Nissan 350Z touring convertible and it had 70000 miles on it and we had to go see. We spoke to John, took a test drive, and bought the car no questions asked. The finance manager Steve was very helpful, got us a better interest rate, and a 3 year extended warranty on the car for a reasonable price. We could not be any happier, the car runs like a dream and was given an awesome Carfax to boot. We had an issue with the broken driver side door handle which would not work, we had to roll down the window from outside to get in. I spoke with John and after further inspection handed me the money to get it fixed without hesitating. I would recommend this dealership to anyone they are honest and stand behind their merchandise. Let me start with the fact my husband and I both have only purchased from a dealership once each, this was well over 12 years ago. Most no longer recognize the value of cash (the old saying cash is king just doesn't exist any longer). We called on the ad seen on CL, spoke to the owner (didn't realize that at the time). He gave us a cash price over the phone which was the listed price out the door. We drove 45 min and test drove the car. It's an 8 yo car and we don't expect it to be perfect, just as if we purchased from a private party. The sales guy that initially met with us was great and friendly. Wasn't pushy or trying to sell us "extras". I told him we had called earlier and the price that was agreed. He verified, we gave them the cash and out the door they got us in about 20 minutes (we were in a hurry). It's been about a month now and the car is still doing great. They sold me a car for which I paid cash($6000.00) . The check engine light came on within 50 miles of driving the next day. I went it back and they took it away to fix it. They brought it back after about an hour and the light was off. BUT it came right back after driving it a few miles so they just reset it. Very dishonest people. My problems were never addresses because I paid cash for it. It couldn't pass emissions and they sold it to me anyway. Don't buy a car from these people. read more

They can't give any statement of truth SINCE THEY WERE NOT THERE. The apology is appreciated but please don't try to cover up the truth behind the actual event with an apology that is insincere, inaccurate and based on an employee that you yourself say "has been let go", which really discredits your attempt at a rebuttal. That said, I will restate, the first experience was great! The second & last, was just that... the last experience we will be having there. I wish all the success to any mom and pop business that garners my business, money and respect. I just purchased a 2012 Honda Odyssey from this dealership. Thought it was an amazing deal, but it was too good to be true. Took it in to get checked out from a Honda dealership and it has got everything wrong with it that you can possibly imagine...Transmission leak, broken boots, etc..$14,000 worth of repairs. Yet they will not work with us to remedy the situation. They offer a 15 day 500 mile powertrain warranty which only covers catastrophic engine failure. It's a joke.Beware of this dealership. They do not know what they're doing they do not check out the cars before they sell them to consumers. read more
