My Husband bought a 2016 impala july 2025 at this location. withing a month we had to get a plug because the tire had a nail in it and they informed us at discount tire that the tires are 4 years old an need replaced asap. DT did nothing!!!!!!!!!!! to this car before selling! No service tires nothing. Must've cleared an engine code cuz 50 miles later the CEL came on and we bveen trying to fix it for a year. There is a large vacuum leak in the engine way to expensive to fix. They refuse to swap it and trade it so our only option is to turn it into the bank and go into debt!!!! This place sold a lemon and the lawyers wont take the case cuz its a 2016! Dont go here unless you want to be screwed over!!!!! Called their warranty place to get it taken in...the car has a list of issues with it that need to be fixed/replaced...yet DriveTime said the car was perfectly fine. Absolute thieves. They did a temporary fix on known pre existing problems on the car I've been stuck with prior to my entering into contact with them/bridgecrest. Had the first major failure occur ONE day out of their fine prints determination of me shoving the keys back in their crooked faces. They half assed connection of a dime store GPS system that caused a major battery drain. The GPS isn't even there to assist in navigation but to be ready to engage a Killswitch and impound "delinquent" accounts. I say delinquent in such fashion as they have changed my due date for funds MULTIPLE times, causing me to fall in arrears. They then send in stacks of negative reports to the credit bureaus. The car has been plauged with countless issues, some thankfully I could repair myself, but many others I could not and had to pay a lot out of pocket. On top of everything, the cost of this lemon scented turd they've stuck me with costs nearly quadruple of the cars value. NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES MAKE AN AGREEMENT WITH THESE CROOKS! If at ALL possible, save up at least $2000.00 and try to find a reliable used car. If there are any problems then at least you won't be making ludicrous monthly payments and can afford repairs as needed. I know it can be extremely difficult to save that much money, especially if you're desperately in need of transportation with immediacy, but TRY YOUR HARDEST. I informed my salesman, Tre, I want the vehicle and my husband will be back later that night when he's off work. tre told me they were open Saturday 10-6 if we weren't able to make it in before they closed Friday. I said ok, thank you. We want this car and will be back. tre said ok and informed me if we came back on Saturday his partner, Sam, will be helping us. Well we showed up all for the manager to tell me they sold it because someone had a cash offer. I said that's a new move, considering I was buying it cash and you said you were holding it for me! The manager then recommended a Toyota that was the basic version and not even comparable to the acura he sold from under me. Well, where to start... 1st off, we went in and thought the process was going to simple as for the first 30 minutes things seemed to be going good. UNTIL we got back from the test drive. We asked questions like when was the car last serviced, oil change, etc.. the response we got was "we don't know how long the car was sitting before it came to us, don't know how long it was at auction, but usually the oil is good and you have a couple of months before that needs to be done." Then asked about a quick wash as it is a black car and had dirt and dust everywhere. Nope they aren't approved to spend money on a car wash. Then the inside was dirty, dirty windows, door panels, floors. We were told they do no detailing of cars. The sales guy when and got a wet nap and tired to wipe the windows. Finally while signing paperwork the sales rep said he would go put gas in the car as it was less than a 1/4 tank of gas. How generous of them, they filled it to 1/2 a tank! Next, within a 100 miles of driving the change oil light came on, so we took it to have it changed. At that point we were told and shown that the cabin air filter was filthy and had black spores of mold! We were told it looked like it was the original filter. So $125 later we got that taken care of. During that inspection we were told that there was a transmission leak and brake fluid leak. Next, called the sales rep back and was told you can take it to this shop and they are in network with the warranty and the sales rep said he takes his personal card there too. Other option was to pay $200 co payment and I can take it to a shop of my choice. So I called that shop and they were extremely helpful, but now it is on day 3 of the repairs and check engine light is still on. Based on the location of the shop it is 26 miles from my work so while the shop is nice enough to come get it and bring it back, it is using up almost 200 miles of my 1500 mile warranty. Only good news is that they are supposed to be reimbursing me for the $125 but haven't heard anything since I sent in the receipt. Now they are saying that all the gas for getting the car to the shop is not their fault as we have an option for a closer shop so no reimbursement can be done for that. The local dealer, definitely just wanted to get us in and out and make the sale, serious lacking customer service and making customers feel good about their purchase. As a claims manager for an insurance company myself, I could not imagine leaving the customer like this. Definitely learned my lesson here and will pay more if I have to to go to a reputable dealer that understands and cares about more than just sales. read more

I went there for an appointment at 6:45 and didn't get to talk to anyone until almost 8pm. They said they did a credit pull and that my credit score was a 488. Which I thought sounded suspiciously low. Wanted to get a $20k car there, which was over bluebook value and supposedly non negotiable. So since it was too late to do anything we left. Went to another dealer and my credit score, from the same credit bureau was 585. Seems like one big scam to me. read more

STAY AWAY. Dishonest practices seem to be acceptable here. I went in curious about a PT Cruiser, thinking it'd be a completely affordable vehicle. After doing all the paperwork, the '08 one I was looking at (with like over 80k miles on it) came out to around $230 bi-weekly. Several times while talking to the manager helping us, he said "your monthly payment will be $460." I didn't think much of it til I got home. A bi-weekly payment of $230 isn't actually $460 a month, because there are two months in the year where you'll actually be making that payment THREE times. So it's really like $499 a month. Either the MANAGER of the place doesn't know that fact (which I find it hard to believe), or he was purposely trying to manipulate me into thinking my monthly payment was lower than it actually is. $499 a month for a '08 PT Cruiser with 80,000 miles on it? Really? Even without the outright lying, it's just too pricey. read more

The tires were over 8 years old and the engine block had a big crack because they used Locktite on the oil pan bolts since the bolts were bigger then they should have used. However, he traded that car in for a new car, the loan to drive time was paid off in full, drive time was notified that it was being paid BUT they still took a car payment out if his account two weeks later. he called and after being told it would take 14 days to issue a refund, he ended up talking to a manager named Lance, who assured him it was an error and they would get a refund check out to him in the next couple of days. That was over two weeks ago. No check. Another phone call and he was assured they would overnight him the money.. that phone call was last Friday, I believe, it's now Tuesday and no money.. Our overall initial experience was ok, that was until yesterday. We bought a car from this location and used our old vehicle as a trade in. The sale was completed on 11/29/14. As of yesterday we still had not received our plates in the mail from motor vehicle. My husband stopped in to see what was taking so long. Turns out nobody ever sent our information in to motor vehicle. We now have a temp tag that is set to expire in 7 days, and drivetime is not taking any responsibility for it. They told my husband there is nothing they can do, even though it was their screw up. It's going to be another 3 weeks before we receive our new plates. I had to sit at motor vehicle for 2 hours yesterday just to file a sold notice on our old vehicle because they were requesting proof of insurance, and drivetime had also not reported that our old vehicle now belonged to them. Totally irate about this whole thing. I will NEVER purchase another vehicle from such a disorganized and devious company, and plan on warning everyone that I can to stay away!!! read more

Very happy with the experience. We were looking for a newer truck for my fiancé, he has had no AC in AZ for the past 3 years and was due for some comfort. Purchased a car in 2013. Had the car for 3 years and traded it in at another dealership. I referred someone to drivetime and they purchased a car. I was waiting for my referral bonus. I called customer service multiple times to make sure I was going to get my referral bonus sent to me and was assured it would. Then almost two months after trading in my car and still had not received anything from them, I called customer service yet again. In the end I was told I will not be getting any money because I no longer have an active drivetime account. This place is scum! I hope they have to spend more money paying to take this review down than what my referral bonus was. read more

Heard about this business from there commercials, decided it would help our credit out to buy a car, went online, looked at the inventory and decided to give it a try. Getting approved was not a problem, husband picked out the vehicle he couldn't live without and we went home with it. Problem , we live 160 miles away from the dealership and about 70 miles into trip home the vehicle started shutting off. He thought it was the transmission slipping, but as the problem progressed, the car died. It would restart but every bump turned it off again. Fortunately, the car would restart and didn't leave him stranded on the side of the road. He called Drive Time first thing on Thursday morning and the run around began. Call warranty and get car fixed, call roadside assistance and file a claim. Since the car didn't make it 70 miles without having problems, we wanted nothing to do with it, who wants a lemon or to buy a car that has issues first thing. When we explained that we were not going to file a claim or anything else that the car was coming back, and they need to come and get it, well that's your problem and you have 5 days per contract. Not once was there concern expressed that the car was a safety hazard (the final turn off was in the middle of the lane with no warning, just dead, no hazard lights either), or that the returning of car was a problem since it wouldn't go down the road on it's own, that we had to take more time off work to return car. We did get them to pay for the tow bill so that the car could be returned, but when we wouldn't agree to split the bill, we were asked by the general manager not to ever come to them to buy a car again. read more
