REVIEW EDIT!!!!!! LONG POST BUT WORTH THE READ! When I first wrote about Ash Auto Group, I gave them an amazing review. I really believed they had our best interest. Keith (one of the salesmen) was kind, patient, and helped me understand the process when I was scared and overwhelmed. That part was true. But now, after living through what's happened since, I need to be completely honest, because that story didn't end when we signed the contract. My husband filed for bankruptcy last summer, which meant I couldn't extend my car lease. We were brand new to this whole process--like, truly and completely clueless about how car ownership works under bankruptcy. So when our attorney told us to contact Ash Auto Group because "they work with bankruptcy clients," that's exactly what we did. We didn't question it. We didn't know there were other options. Later, when I asked her why she only mentioned them, she said she didn't know there were any local dealerships that handle bankruptcy clients. I mean... if your attorney can't even tell you to do a simple Google search, it might be time to get a new attorney. But that's another conversation for another day. So we went with Ash Auto, and they gave us two car options total. That was it. Two. Both out of town, both sight unseen. Every phone call came with pressure. "It might be gone any second," "you have to decide now." We felt trapped, so we went with what seemed like the safest bet: a 2022 Audi A4. Big mistake. Sounds like a typical used‑car dealership, and I guess I was too hopeful and trusting. In just three and a half months (July through October), we've spent over $2,000 on repairs. And after taking it to a foreign‑car specialist and then directly to Audi, we've been told there are thousands more in repairs coming soon because of ongoing issues with corrosion, brakes, and mechanical problems. Also, just to add, at no point was I told that this car would require premium gas or that most, if not all, repairs would need to be done at Audi. That's the kind of information that absolutely should be disclosed upfront, especially to someone going through bankruptcy who clearly can't afford ongoing luxury maintenance costs. It's irresponsible not to mention that to a buyer who's already financially vulnerable. When we first contacted Ash Auto about it, we chatted with Jason, the director of service. He told us they were willing to offer us $600. That's it. So far, we've spent almost $2,000. They gave $600 and washed their hands of it. When I called to talk about it, I spoke to Jonas Ash, one of the owners, and that call was absolutely infuriating. From the first minute, it was clear he wasn't interested in listening, just defending. It was pure mansplaining from start to finish. He talked over me, downplayed everything, and kept repeating that the car is "fine now," as if that magically erases the evidence from two separate dealerships saying otherwise. After a lot of gaslighting and back‑and‑forth, it became clear he wasn't actually trying to help me get out of this situation, only to defend the sale and convince me the car is fine. He kept using the word "now," clearly trying to deflect from the fact that my concerns are about the car's safety moving forward, especially after the reports we received from both dealerships and the future costs we will incur. Hello? We're in bankruptcy! We cannot afford any more maintenance for a car we have had for three months!!! So the truth is Ash Auto is like any other used‑car dealership. Once the sale is done, Ash Auto is done with you too. The warmth and compassion they show upfront disappears the moment you need real help. If someone refers you to Ash Auto because they "work with bankruptcy clients," stop right there. Do your own research. Google local options. Go see the cars yourself. Don't let anyone pressure you into buying sight unseen. I wish someone had told me that, because while Ash Auto got their sale and their payment, we're the ones still dealing with the fallout, both financially and emotionally. I felt that I no longer needed 4 Wheel Dr., I didn't care about a sunroof, but I love the color blue. In a matter of time, he was on the computer, researching, he found me my blue car, tan leather interior. This is my kind of company, they have great morals, integrity, they do business in a handshake. If you can't do business that way, you shouldn't be in business! Im very disappointed with this dealership. At first conversation was great I was promised to get the help I wanted and needed in finding a car after my bankruptcy. And the sad part is I actually believed it. However weeks went by with no contact. I would follow up asking for an update and it was just excuses after excuses as to why there was no response and no help until they completely ended up ghosting me. Thankfully God knew I needed a vehicle for my kids and led me to check out other options since that's how I was being treated by this company. I ended up going somewhere else and I was able to get approved for a beautiful car that I was waiting so patiently for WITHOUT Ash Auto Group's help. In the beginning I had a great experience with my Sales Associate ( Keith) he was very attentive and follow-up with me almost every couple days. He was very informative and answered all my questions in purchasing my car. However, it shows that once you sell someone a car you leave them hanging! I got my car dropped off in CALIFORNIA. Not once during the time spent talking to my sales associate he had failed to informed me that I should be expecting a folder of paper work in my vehicle once it was dropped off. I was left with a temporarily license place. I reached out MULTIPLE TIMES ( text message, phone call, left a voice message until the mail box was full ) In regards to the update of my License plate BTW it is NOW expired at this point. I kept getting tossed around the bush and no one knew where or what the status of my lic place. I finally got a call back early December stating that there was forms that needed to be signed... and it was sent via email. Given they have sent it twice in the first two months to my email address but, it was in the Spam folder. WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME I WAS EXPECTING AN EMAIL WITH DOCUMENTS TO BEGIN WITH. Which explains the fact that THEY NEVER LEFT A FOLDER WITH MY DOCUMENTS IN MY CAR ONCE IT WAS SHIPPED TO ME. Let's just say your client never got to those emails or seen them. Why wasn't this explained to me that I should be expecting an email from Ash Auto group for documents that needed to be signed to begin with! It is now DECEMBER 2022 at this point. I was then informed that I needed those documents reviewed signed and had to get a smog check for my car. I got a call from Allison ( which was very sweet ) which reminded me 3 times to get it signed and mailed back. At this point I was going through a family emergency that need to be taken care of first. SO NOW THIS IS ON HOLD. I called Ray Marin- and explained my frustration. He reassured me and walked me through the process in what I needed to do to get my lic plate. I asked them to reimbursed me the smog check fee. Since no one told me until later that I also needed a smog check in addition to signing the documents. Which he granted. In JANUARY 16th, 2023 I finally got my car smogged and documents signed I asked her " IS THIS EVERYTHING YOU NEED" Allison responded with a text message saying that is all I need ( I provided a copy of my smog paper, and signed every document ) It is now February 2023 ( I BOUGHT MY CAR IN LATE SEPTEMBER BTW ) I get a call from Ryan, and he tells me that my forms is incomplete two forms needed to be notarized & also a form needed to be complete from the DMV. WHAT! Can you imagine how I am feeling at this point. I've now talked to 3 team members and I am barely finding out I need two forms notarized and I need to go to the DMV to get it signed. I am beyond livid at this point. Ryan, was super professional and apologized. I sent him all the screenshots of messages with the interactions with last sales associate. Now, we are back at square 1 I need to book an appt with DMV. I really hope you this team takes more value in just selling cars. Explaining important information like asking your client to do X,Y & Z. and going in full details of what is expected is so important. TRANSPARENCY IS KEY!!! Buyer Beware . Don't do it . I bought two cars June last year . Both cars have had the same issues. Evaporator core needing to be replaced. Coolant leaks . Car corrosion and rust issues . Here are some pictures of what my car looks like with orange rust and corrosion. I'm from Florida , so that's not normal to us . My car is in the shop again for car a/c problems , getting the evaporator core replaced for a second time and this time the actuator needed replacement as well . Sure they give you warranty , but these problems started happening within two months of owning the cars . Both cars also needed breaks replaced ( apond arrival) Had you told me it was just one car , but both cars!. Now my driver side seat belt retractor is broken . I have owned many cars in my life , I have never had so many issues . Buyer beware ! Not to mention the car paint problems both cars had , you can see on the photos of the website make the cars look great, but if you are out of state you are trusting them to not be shady !. My whole front on my car needs paint . Lesson learned !! If you are from out of state , DO NOT BE FOOLED by the website . both cars have a negative equity of $10,000 , so we are stuck!!! car problems keep on coming . I wish I would have waited . WORST car experience ever!!! ^*^^^ In response to the reply from the owner , both cars continue needing to go to the shop for repairs !!!. As towards the blame towards the transport company both cars arrived with the car windows up . What is the explanation for both cars having a/c problems, and coolant leaking problems . ? I should've know since the sales guy said "the paper plates are good for a year" and I'll get them in mail ASAP as a red flag. The car headlights pick and choose when they want to work. Less than zero rating this was the worse experience of my life. My application was the contract and now I am stuck with a vehicle that I do not want . I was never allowed a test drive nor did I see the vehicle prior to it being delivered to me. It was listed as a SUV and its a crossover. I advised when I first saw the vehicle that I was not happy and that I did not want the vehicle. My application was signed 11/2022 the car was delivered 12/9 was told that my acceptance was 11/22 (THE APPLICATION) I tried to return the vehicle and I was told my Keith that he will try to resell the vehicle and apologize for Ryan being shady. He stated the Ryan was no longer their but yet I am still stuck with this vehicle that I do not want and cannot afford. To start off i HIGHLY DO NOT recommend this company for anyone PLSSSS do research. Me and my mom both got a car from this company and as soon as we received these cars they came filled with orange dust. Sure they fixed it and got it detailed but that doesn't change the fact that still a year later, it's still literally everywhere behind all the cars plastic parts. Not only the dust being in every crack and being unable to remove not even with detailing (and they say my moms windows must have just magically been down while delivering but how does that explain how BOTH the cars had the same dust behind every interior plastic MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!) .... but we had instant problems not even 2 months of having these cars. First my car had a bad tms sensor, my front bumper came falling apart on one side, scratches on the doors, then a coolant leak, then my EVAPORATOR needed to be replaced. Not to mention i literally had to replace my breaks because as soon as it arrived they were in bad condition. Every month there's a problem(they are not old cars these are 2018 cars with low mileage) We have had these cars literally a year in june of 2023 and every month me AND my mom have had to have repairs and fixes nearly every single month. And all these problems i listed are SOLELY on behalf of my car. And sure there's "warranty" but at what cost if every month the car is at the shop for 2 weeks minimum. As soon as i sit back and think my car is all repaired and ready to work, another problem pops up. AGAIN not to mention.... the car value is significantly low and i am stuck in thousands of negative equity($10,000). To get out of this mess i need to pay $8-10k up front. So please everyone reading this FIND SOMEPLACE ELSE! i cannot stress this enough it is not worth it do yourself the favor and listen if you don't want to be stuck in this mess. read more

Just bought a 2016 White Porsche Macan S from Ash Auto Group (Ryan Zimmer) on Friday the 13th, 2019. What a great experience, relaxed atmosphere, TOTALLY DIFFERENT THAN GOING TO LARGE DEALERSHIP!! Ryan and his partner, Andy, are super chilled, no stress, and for what I was looking for, I couldn't find a better price on a car that was as clean as the one I bought. Wife and I already owned a 2016 Black Macan S that we bought from a small luxury dealership in Tempe (which I will never return to), so I was already familiar with the vehicle and didn't need any Sales Pitches which Ryan accommodated. Ryan told me about the maintenance of the vehicle since he had it in his care, AND GAVE ME THE PAPER RECORDS. That doesn't happen often. Ryan and Andy told me I could have saved myself a lot of headache as these guys have the inside track with Porsche for vehicles coming off lease and I could have just told them what I was looking for and they would have done the rest. Ryan was easy to work with on price/document fees. I don't want to give my deal away, but let's just say, Ash Auto Group is not trying to make $$ off of every Title/Registration/Loan piece of paperwork that crosses their desk. I think I got robbed when I bought my last Porsche a few months ago when I compare the documents ;-0 Ash Auto Group also offered up the names/numbers of some of the Porsche Experts here in the Phoenix Area as I will need regular maintenance done. The guy that was assigned to me as my sales person did nothing for me and made me feel like I was pretty much doomed with my situation, he even requested credit from the company of the current lender that I filed bankruptcy on and then laughed it off when I asked him why he did that. Also they call him the credit king because he supposedly can get anyone approved but he made me feel like he did me a favor because the last lender approved me as a favor to him. I apologize for the length of this but buyers need to be aware of this company. They have very little inventory and he said he could not get me approved for the car I wanted and then he said because I couldn't find anything on the website, he would walk the inventory that they had on their lot the next day and he would get back with me. I gave him two days by the third day I went to their website and got one of the owners phone number and texted him and told him about my experience and he replied right away and said that he would have the manager call me the next day and instead the manager had the same salesperson that I no longer wanted to work with call me and offer me what they considered an awesome deal and they would throw in an extended warranty and then said this was it and I needed to make a decision quick. So out of desperation and thinking that it was pretty much what I was looking for except the color... I took the deal. I was trying to give the salesperson another chance being that I was now buying this car but he would not return calls or text and I finally told the manager I no longer wanted to work with him. The manager sent me the paperwork to sign and this car was $5000 more than what I was told, I found that I was paying for the extended warranty, I was paying for the shipping of the car and whatever else they threw in there but somehow could not get me approved for a car that was $1000 more that had very low miles and still had a warranty It took them weeks upon weeks to deliver the car to me and when they did the door trim was damaged and I was able to prove it happened on their lot and the manager agreed with me through text that the damage was fresh but will not talk to me now, he stopped answering calls and text after I presented the photos. I spoke with another guy there, the one who does the title paperwork and the plates back in October and here it is January and I'm still waiting for my plate and I called secretary of state and they have no record of my vehicle they said they have not received any paperwork for me so I called the guy back and he said paperwork was sent a month ago and he would look into it and still no call or text back. I have never in my lifetime had to deal with any dealership as shady as them and would not recommend them to anyone, EVER! After an accedent that left my vehicle totaled I was shopping around for a Jeep patriot that would get me to and from work untill I could afford the vehicle that I wanted. Doing a quick check on the VIN and getting the free vehicle report to come back clean I was initially happy about the aforability. Come to find out when I was buying the vehicle I wanted that the Jeep was flagged for structural damage in a paid report at an auction where the Ash Auto Group had picked it up. They failed to disclose any of that to me and with the knowledge of structural damage the value of the Jeep was significantly less than the price I paid to Ash Auto Group. The Lexus was in a major Accident, It had Structural damage Lexus had been in Texas flood, The dealer Knew it and did not disclose it at time of the sale when asked.
