In September 2014, my wife and I were referred to a DJ sounding similar to DJ Arnie's name by a couple we met at our church's pre wedding seminar. I don't want to mention the other DJ's name here because I don't want to market another DJ. A week later, my wife found DJ Arnie instead by accident while searching for the other DJ. We thought we found the DJ that was referred to us. When we met Arnie in person and talked to him, we realized he wasn't the one. However, let me tell you something, we have no regrets. Arnie made a great first impression. He came across as a very professional, personable, friendly, and organized person. We have talked to other DJ as well that gave us this negative or shady vide. No such thing with Arnie. Within a few days of meeting him, we signed a contract with him. He created a wedding planning link for us on his website and provided a page to pick songs for our wedding. He helped up with our wedding timeline as well. In December, about 3 weeks before the wedding, we met Arnie at our wedding reception banquet hall, The Crossings at Carlsbad. He inspected the place, tested the speakers, helped us decide on how many up lights we needed, and where to place them. The up lights transformed the place. It looked more beautiful. We really enjoyed working with him that evening. A few days before the wedding, Arnie had a meeting with us over the phone to review timeline and songs. He was also communicating with us throughout the month over email. He's very detail oriented. On the wedding date, he was great. He was at The Crossing early for set up. The up lights and wave projection lights he set up looked fantastic. It made the room look very beautiful with the other decorations. He played all our songs and he organized our wedding party entrance very well too. He was amazing. We received so many compliments on the music and how everything flowed well during the whole time. There was not a dull moment at all throughout the evening. Arnie was spinning away from about 6pm to 11pm. Before that between 5pm and 6pm, he played some music for the cocktail hours on the patio. After dinner, the place turned into a dance club (lots of different lightings). It was so much fun. There were lots of kids at our wedding. Adults and kids were able to dance and have a great time. Arnie was able to keep all of us happy and entertained. The quality of the sound from his equipments were excellent. We only heard great quality of sound and music. We've been to events with issues with the microphones or sound errors, and distortions. We didn't hear any of those bad sounds on our event. Arnie was also our emcee during our reception. His microphone skills are good as well. He took notes on how to pronounce names and did a great job. Our wedding was so much fun and fantastic. Our friends and family are still talking about our wedding after a month later. We believe, Arnie's involvement in our wedding is one of the many reasons that made our wedding fantastic. Our planner (Coastyle Events) recommended him because of his professionalism and way to keep the reception fun/natural without being a "cheesy DJ". He definitely lived up to that - from our initial meeting with him to the wedding day. We didn't stop dancing after dinner and he was able to keep everyone on the dance floor (regardless of the generation). My one and only issue is that he could not pronounce my name to save his life! I never realized it before in our initial conversations, but when he announced us as the new bride and groom, it really became apparent how off his pronunciation was. Multiple people tried to correct him, my planner told him every single time how to say it, but he still seemed to have a hard time saying it right! It was kind of funny, and wasn't a big deal, but I wish he would've been able to say my name correctly (it's not that uncommon of a name). I needed a DJ for a very large-scale outdoor event. It was a street soccer tournament hosted by Red Bull that took place on the main drag in Old Town during the famed annual Cinco De Mayo Festival. There were thousands of people in attendance throughout the day, and the event was 12 hours long.
