The pricing is incredibly reasonable--especially compared to other venues--and Yard & Sea includes so much like tables, linens, chairs, etc. It is flexible, customizable, and works for a range of budgets and needs. The vendors they work with are top-notch. We received tons of compliments on the tacos and the photo booth was a huge hit. (This wasn't your average setup--it was a high-end experience where you can customize the photo strip design, pick your backdrop, and choose from options like GIFs, photo series, and more!) The space itself is open concept, essentially a blank canvas with tons of potential for decor, and perfectly located in the heart of Pacific Beach. The reserved parking lot was a huge bonus, and Jay let us in as early as noon to set up--and even allowed us to store things overnight for next-day pickup. The setup and breakdown team worked fast and efficiently, and they were incredibly friendly and helpful before/after the event. Between the location, pricing, flexibility, and overall vibe, Yard & Sea was the perfect venue for our reunion. Balloon Guru was the only vendor actively engaging with me. I had only 2 weeks before my event and needed to book a vendor. The process was quick and efficient. Although I had no other vendors to which I could compare pricing, I did feel the price was a bit expensive. However, when you are in a bit of a time crunch, you have to go with what you got. We ordered 2 balloon columns and 2 demi-arches to help add to the decor for our event. The items were delivered in the promised window and we were pleased with outcome. My only slight complaint was that I wish the demi-arches were a bit taller to not make our taller guests have to bend down to avoid possibly running into a balloon. Other than that, everything went fine with the balloon order. I would recommend Balloon Guru.

Adam and I met Jaime at a bridal conference and we told him of our vision, and we immediately hit it off with him. Jaime was so accommodating of our schedules, and would often drive to us for meet ups and discussions, and he allowed us to have calls in the evenings after we got off work. He was flexible and very thoughtful of our needs. We purchased the full service planning package, and Jaime was with me through all the challenges of trying to plan a wedding during covid. He would give me vendor recommendations, and when anyone would back out (due to unforeseen issues with covid and family, etc...), he would do everything to get me replacement vendors and get my deposits back. He was ON it and always had my back!!! I certainly felt like Jaime cared about us. He was super responsive to every email/text/question I sent his way, and he would often send us little reminder of things to consider/complete. It was very appreciated. On top of all that.... JAIME SAVED THE WEDDING A BILLION TIMES OVER!!! * The manzanita tree renter we were going to use ended up closing due to covid, so we had to find a new supplier and actually BUY the trees. * We didn't know what to do with the trees after the wedding ended and we had to get them out of the venue by 1am. Jaime asked his florist supplier, and she agreed to take them, and have them out by 1am! He totally saved us from having to figure out what to do with them! * We found a manzanita tree supplier who we purchased 18 - 3 feet trees from, delivered them them day before, but they were the wrong size! They were 1 to 1.5 feet! Which is NOT what we paid extra for! And not the statement centerpieces we expected. I immediately started panicking! My fiance just left because he hates confrontation and didn't know what to do, and I literally just felt trapped, alone, and confused in how to address the situation. Except that I was not alone. Jaime came to my rescue! He totally backed me up and wanted the supplier to provide answers as to why the trees were not what was agreed on in our contract. In the end, she just left saying she could not fix them and we could discuss with her later. But Jaime did not leave me with those small pathetic trees. He instantly jumped on his phone and contacted local suppliers. He then pulled an all-nighter to spray paint new trees he procured, and built them into the center piece boxes. And he did it all at his house! * On top of Jaime working on the trees ALL night, he was calm, cool, and collected the next day and did everything to make our wedding beautiful! He was a calming presence and never seemed to appear stressed or bothered with all the questions thrown at him. He was amazing!! * Jaime is also an interior visionary, and when my grandmother asked for a gift she made us to be presented at the wedding, he did a beautiful job of tying it into our decor! He also had to re-situate the layout to accommodate our photo booth vendor, and he did a fantastic job of the overall setup! Jaime and his team were absolutely brilliant! I am beyond blessed/grateful for all their hard work and love that they gave our event. So many issues came up that were out of our control (and nothing that Jaime or his team did) but his team ALWAYS jumped on getting them resolved/fixed! I had no idea until after the wedding of anything of these issues! That's how amazing they were!! ALSO.... Jaime took pictures of so many parts of the sent up that I did not get to see and sent them to me so I could have them and see everything pristine before the guests arrived. I thought it was a very thoughtful gesture! Jaime... THANK YOU for all you did for us. I know it was an insane day, but you were a HERO and did everything to not make it feel insane!
