They are a great team and even homeschool their children while maintaining this business. He is a one man show so the only thing I would say to keep in mind is that while he does all he can to get people in quick, there's only so much one person can do. So be mindful of that. You will find plenty of colorful language and no cushy waiting room. You will find a pile of work waiting ahead of you but I've seen him drop what he was doing to help fix a minor problem for overworked Mom. If it's not something he does he'll tell you and usually knows someone to refer you to. Many City Cops and Firemen come here as their go-to shop. I hesitate to even tell you about this but you guys, the Yelp community, have been good to me and this is a little advice that is ready to be shared. Just don't go telling every dang body.

I was hopeful but would have understood if he had said no. He laughed when I told him what I had, saying that not many of those came around to his shop, but said that he would definitely have me come in. Scheduled an appointment and everything, 8am the following Wednesday. My normal mechanic for this truck is in Raleigh, so I was happy to be able to get the oil changed in Greensboro. Showed up this morning at 8am (the time of my appointment) with my truck, and Robert comes out looking at me as if he has no idea what anyone is doing there. I explain to him that I had an appointment, and he says "I dont care if you had an appointment or not. I dont work on anything older than a '97 (if I remember correctly) and I'm definitely not going to stop what I'm doing to work on THAT." I tried to tell him again: "but over the phone you told me tht you could change the oil, all you need is a little time and grease gun, you scheduled me an appointment, I took time out of my day for this." to which he said: "Well, I lied to you." You may have more luck with this guy with a newer car. But dont ever expect him to hold his appointments or tell the truth about what he can and can't do.

I emailed them 2-24-26 to explain what the car symptoms were. I never got a reply. After many phone calls that I left on the answer machine...I never got a call back. Twice I connected with the owner (one out every 8 calls)...he said he would call me back in the morning. Never did. Never read the email. Again said he would call me back in the morning...never did. Today, I called again now 3-4-26 and I got the owner live and I asked him why doesn't he address my issue on email or on the phone. And why he never calls back even when he says he wil. He said you don't need to cuss at me, when in fact I did not. My chewing him out must had sounded like I was cussing, That call was recorded. As I do with all fly-by-night garages) I reviewed the recording and there was no cussing. He said he would not work on my car. I didn't respond but I had made that decision long ago. The only reason I considered going there in the first place, is because it was the closest garage to me and I needed a radiator and can't travel more than 10 min. before the car starts to overheat. So, bottom line, they don't do email (even at info.com), they don't call back on messages left on the answer machine and they won't get back to you even if you are lucky enough to get a human when you call. And if you criticize his operation, he''ll not do business with you.

He was always fair and repairs was always completed on date quoted. No disrespect to dealerships but they're truly overpriced but Randy can & will perform repairs at a 3rd of the cost of a dealership. If he can't repair (which I highly doubt) I'm sure he will inform you beforehand. I miss him as my auto tech; I wish my insurance company hadn't tried to blame him for an incident involving my vehicle that had nothing to do with him or the product he sold me; which was not founded per investigation.
