The mall used to be pretty decent ... but now they keep taking out the good stores and replacing them with furniture stores . I think they are all owned by the same people but why do we want every other store to be a furniture place especially at the mall . It's weird . The AV is growing and can support a really good mall now , but instead I would rather travel to Valencia or even Bakersfield to enjoy the mall experience. The food court sucks now . I hope the owners of this place realize they need to step it up . Because everyone now is traveling somewhere else to shop when we all should be shopping here in our own town . read more

Don't expect to kill much time here, let alone find anything you need. The place is one of the smallest malls I have been to, with a joke of an "outside area" that merely consists of 2 restaurants, and a store. The mall itself is surrounded by restruants that are pretty good, and a has a decent movie theater as well. But none of it is walk-friendly. So expect to move your car a few times if you decide to shop, eat at one of the resturaunts from outside, and finish the night with a movie at the theater.If you actually want a selection of products to buy, I recommend you make the trip to the Valencia Mall instead. read more

Never was a fan of this mall. Not the cleanest mall, half of the stores are out of business or rundown, and you'll find a bunch of rude people working/shopping here. I drive out of my way to other malls for better customer service and better vibes; I would recommend the same. read more

Not bad, small but not a mall I would spend the day shopping, instead I would rather go to Valencia or Glendale. They have decent department stores and restaurants but random cheap shoe stores like 4-5 of them through out the mall. They do have H&M, Papaya, Ny &Co., Tillys, Pharmacy and more well known stores. But I do miss Hallmark or at least bring in Papyrus and better shoe stores like Nine West or Steve Madden. Also at the end towards Sears it's always deserted and empty, they need to add better stores on that end. Also..zero cell phone reception and no wifi..so if your trying to find your teenager or someone your with..forget about it the absolute worst reception ever. read more

I come here often because I just don't want to drive down to the valley/LA anymore than I have to. I do wish there was a better variety of stores. In my opinion it's getting worse. Several stores have closed. Even Build a Bear was down sized for crying out loud. Yet there are tons of jewelry boutiques. Which by the way I hardly ever see anybody making purchases in. Knock off shoe stores. As well as furniture stores. There seems to be a Paradise furniture gallery at every entrance. Sure there is a Macy's but honestly it feels like an outlet Macy's. Clearly it doesn't have the wide selection as other stores. Dillard's is great! Love their shoe department but they hardly have sales. I wish there were more stores like Abercrombie, the Gap, Banana Republic, Disney store, Apple store to name a few. I would love to see this happen. The food court is a disaster! Nothing appetizing at all. It is so dead. Nearly half of the eateries are closed. It was better YEARS ago. The AV Mall is the ONLY place out here to do some descent shopping. There is definately room for improvement. We'd leave our tax dollars here in Palmdale AND create more jobs!!! It's a win win situation!!! read more

Just left the hot topic store about 6:55pm today we were in line waiting to pay and the cashier was having problems not a big deal the girls here are nice BUT!! The prick with the purple hair and pie plates for gauges shows up to ring people out calls for the next person in line and points to the person behind us, the lady that was in front of us ringing out turns around and says I just told him you were next? I blow it off but he does it again, this person is either being a big asshole or is a complete moron maybe both! We will not be coming back here again! read more

I was surprised to find an outdoor mall in the middle of the desert, 1 1/2 hours east of LA. But to my surprise, this is a decent sized outdoor mall containing most of the essential shops and stores. The plus: this mall has a Trader Joe's!! That pretty much wins me over. read more

I went into the guess store to shop for my best friends birthday present everybody there was so wonderful and helpful there was a certain associate name Larissa who went out of her way to even gift wrap my gift ...she was very professional and I love her personality... Why not? I used to hang out in this Mall 12 years ago... I had fun memories in this place and now that I am back from Washington... I still love the Mall with some additions. Even though I've always had good experiences here both customer service wise and product variety wise, this mall wasn't always a real mall. It is a massive part of my childhood and teenage years so I know how its looked over the years, what stores were added or torn down or have been there since the beginning. Its truly turning out to be a great mall (I say that because it is still undergoing new store/restaurant construction). They've added so much cool new stuff and I never thought it would end up looking as good as it does now; like a proper mall finally. read more

I gave this mall three stars because compared to other malls it might be below average.. But for the AV this mall is fine. It's not huge and it has only one floor, but it's impossible to go shopping here and see something you don't like. The restaurants are good and they just added a dicks which has a nice selection of everything. It's a good place to check out read more

This mall has definitely come a long way. It's still not the greatest. Too many teenage kids in the weekend trying to cause trouble. Worst mall I've ever been to. Rats and bugs all over the food court. Rooftop is falling apart and leaks horribly when it rains. Management is inept and ignores customer complaints. Only mall I've ever seen that has to have full time armed patrol. In the summer it feels like a sauna inside because management won't turn down the AC in order to try and save money. For being in the AV, I think this mall has a good selection of stores. The Forever 21 is huge. It's not organized but whatever. It's forever 21!! It has a new Macy's which is fabulous. And Dillards! Hell yes!!! All this mall is missing is a Nordstrom, in my humble fashionista opinion. read more

A nice little mall that's clean with very friendly people working there. I enjoyed walking the mall for exercise and some window shopping. I even found some good sales I wasn't expecting. If you're visiting and want to walk around and shop a bit, then this is the place! One review said it'd take you 15 minutes to walk from end to end and they were right. So it's not huge, but there are many fun shops and several restaurants around the outside of mall as well. read more

As a strip town kinda city mall goes it's pretty mediocre. But I was unfortunately stuck in palmdale with my 5year old on Halloween. Which where I live mall trick o treating is awesome. This was horrible. Why even bother offering trick o treating if 60%+ of you're cheap ass stores aren't going to offer candy and then the other 10% give coupons to kids. Really? I have been shopping at this mall for many years and seen stores come and go. The only things I regret seeing leave are PacSun and good security. I have been witnessing security (in the white shirts) just walking and standing in groups not doing anything about the kids running through the mall. The kids are doing cartwheels, running and rolling all while security is just standing there. I have worked for a security company and I know that this behavior by both the patrons and the employees is looked bad upon. I am not an old grumpy person just complaining I am just seeing what is going on around the mall that I have grown up in and am very disappointed. read more

It isnt the best mall, but it isnt the worst. The best time to come is when all KIDS are in school... meaning the high school ones of course. Come during the day and there is hardley anyone, then its perfect. The selection of shops is okay, I only tend to shop at macys or dillards. On the note of the Macy store in this mall, if your a true shopper of that retail store you will agree that the one in the AV mall is like a seconds, meaning their products are not the best. Overall, this mall at times is okay. Id rather drive to Valencia though. read more

I've lived in the A.V. my whole life, and have been going to the A.V. Mall for nearly as long. This mall was great. With stores like White Sands, Suncoast Video, and even a movie theater that had a small arcade. Speaking of arcades, they also used to have a Tlit Arcade in the mall. I would spend hours there. My family would go to the different department stores that anchored the mall; Harris Gottschalks, Macy's, J.C. Penny's, & Sears were all affordable and had great items. Now, however with the mall trying to 'modernize', all the stores are waaaaaay to expensive. Express has a button up shirt for $40. ONLY ONE BUTTON UP. The stores that are popping up around the mall are all $$$$ for only a $$ area. Got to Valencia if you want to spend that type of cash AND have a fun place to walk around. They even have a Disney Store. read more

This mall is a below-average quality mall. Seems to be completely empty after 6pm on a weekday. I was absolutely shocked. The department store seemed to be a literal ghost town. Based upon my observation and time spent at this mall, I am led to believe that the economy is in a serious depression. read more

The mall is a great place to go to with friends or family. I've been there too many times to count and never had a problem with anyone. I remember going to this mall when I stayed with my aunt when I first moved to LA.- I had an understanding that, while it doesn't have upscale stores, the AV mall is trying to serve a huge market in the AV area, has movie theater, a lot of kids stores, a decent food court, a great Sephora, and is doing a pretty dang good job of serving it's area. You want a classy overpriced time, you gotta get in the car and drive an hour down to Beverly Center. Sucks but that's the dealio. Dillard's is a western dept. store chain that reminds me of Boston Store in Milwaukee, whereas Mervyn's is also SO the Kohl's of the West. Macy's is kind our Marshall Field's, our was, before they bought it out. But I digress. This was kind of like how it was for me growing up in a small WI town, where there was just fuck-all available to me. No way was there a Macy's in Milwaukee, either, that was all in Chicago. Nice that with the internet you can check out the other stores online, and save gas money, or have an idea whats out there before you travel to other cities. read more

There are quite a few stores there plus more that's coming. The food court has a lot to choose from and the play area for kids is pretty big. My favorite store was The Children's Place and sadly they closed that store in the mall due to them opening up an H&M and they never re-opened another one. read more

Love this mall. More stores than Mall of Victor Valley. The nearest Macy's we go to, other than Victoria Gardens. Not that many food stores in the food court, but plenty to eat outside by the mall. read more

This place is great for the shopping and friendly service I usually receive in the stores. The 3 stars are because when I or other people are usually eating during the morning when the food court just opens the cleaning crew is usually dusting and spraying chemicals near where people are eating. If would be great if they adjusted this to a time before the food court opens. read more

This is pretty much the only mall Around this area and the only one ive ever gone to. I really dont have anything else to compare it to but id say its really pretty nice. It has all the stores most people look to when thinking about going to the mall! the main places ill go is forever 21, hottopic,spencers,ect.. The food is way overpriced but its the mall what do you expect. Most of everything is over priced because its all nice things although most of the stores almost always has sals going on. Its even fun to just go and take a look around. This is where I buy my glasses from. Everyones nice and friendly I have yet to encounter a bitchy associate waiting to go home.
