This guy gave us wood that wet and will not burn right before Christmas. When called to tell him, he wouldn't pick up the phone, texted me back. Im this middle of a long text back and forth, he still wouldn't anawer his phone. I told him I'm not happy, can we work something out, he proceeded tell me that I have to let it season for a couple weeks. Nothing like this was said when delivered, we wanted wood for Christmas to burnright away, you don't buy firewood to wait a few weeks to use it. Then he proceeded to tell me maybe I'm not burning it correctly, what?? I have started dozens of fires in this fireplace with no issue. He is a bad businessman. Don't use. UPDATE: the wet ash that this company delivered, even the logs that are inside my house, are not burning well a month after delivered. so i bought some other ash from a reputable businessman that will pick up the phone when I call and it has been burning great! Still, don't use no matter how many of his friends he has leave 5 star reviews. When I told Anthony that the ash he delivered me is wet, he texted back "Fake News". Delivery was fast, and the price was fair. However, the delivery made it only to the front of the driveway, so I had to carry it eighty feet to the yard, then stack. Okay, so that's a wash. But, the wood was not really what I expected. I got a lot of small length, maybe stove length pieces, hard to stack. Lots of twisted wood. Worst was the dirt and debris, this was definitely a Bobcat load off the ground. Nothing dry, everything green, and while I knew that going in, lots of insect-eaten wood and thick bark leavings made this a less than optimal delivery. Anthony got back to me quickly and offered semi-seasoned or drier ash. I chose the semi-seasoned as a better bargain and I thought it was plenty dry. He did a great job at keeping me updated via text. Very happy with the wood quality and the customer service from Anthony! read more

Update: the business owner claims I am mistaken or a fraud. Anthony, I am based in NJ, not NY (my profile needs to be updated). You son delivered the wood onto my driveway. You get what you pay for. $150 for a half chord of bad firewood. Chunky, huge pieces that don't fit in my fire pit and take forever to catch fire and burn. Next time I will go with a different company and inspect the wood before i pay and it's dumped on my property. read more

I Order wood from this place, when they came to deliver it, he didn't bother to see that his truck didn't clear my patio light. There was more than enough room for him to park his truck and still leave the wood in my yard. Instead he kept driving and ripped down my lights. When I asked him to make restitution on the damage his response was it was not his fault the driveway should have been clear. The lights hang off an 11 foot pole. I reached out numerous times and he just ghosted me and refused to respond. Very unprofessional and rude. Now I know why he ask you to leave cash in an envelope for payment. Worst wood place ever! Dropped me off a cord of wood that was wet(he was medium moisture) so I was ok with that, then had the audacity to short me 30 cubic yards on a 128 yard delivery! Measure your piles with this guy. He will take advantage. I gave him the opportunity to correct it and he ignored me. read more

Will never order from this place again. About 40% of it was smaller than 10 ". And lots of 4 to 6 " pieces. Impossible to stack. Do yourself a favor. Spend an extra $20 bucks a cord and go somewhere else. read more

I called on Dec 21st and asked for a cord of wood - thinking I was too late to get it before Christmas. The next day he delivered and the wood is amazing. Same issues as the other guy pretty much down to the T. He delivered fast, but short almost 1/4 the order, lots of debris and short sub 12" pieces. Extremely rude when I brought up the issues and refused to make it right. Stack before you pay or look elsewhere. I wish it worked out. read more

Where do I begin... Anthony's website touts that they deliver clean, screened hardwood at competitive prices. The price of his wood was reasonable at $200 delivered; the quality, not so much. Of the full cord that I purchased, I received 2 face cords worth of 14"-16" length, 1/2 face cord of sub 12" pieces, about a full pick-up truck worth of large unstackable chunks ranging from 6" to 10", some large unsplit 16" logs and three full 33 gallon garbage bins worth of bark and splintered scraps (what happened to the screened material?). While stacking the wood, I mentioned to him that I was unhappy with the delivery and he promptly replied with snarky remarks and photos of clean, properly sized split hardwood. Since I hadn't paid him yet, I made sure that he came back to my house to pick up his waste and unusable wood. Sorry for the next guy who receives this junk but I just couldn't keep it at my house. There are too many other shops out there to be burdened with this guy. Good luck to all who use him. read more
