Being in my early thirties, I had no idea what to expect when starting to actively search for my first home. Like most first-time homeowners, when starting my search I had no clue where to even begin to point that I felt like giving up because everything seemed out of reach. I tried to take this task alone with no hand holding from my parents since I am now a "grown up." Little did I know, I still have a lot to learn. Luckily, my mother a seasoned pro who invest in purchases income properties was able to help me find a diamond in the rough, Anthony. To be complete transparent, here is what it was like before finding Anthony through my mother. I prospected several realtors and found out that many of them have similar characteristics that is stereotypical of a "used car salesman," no offense if you are one and reading this. A lot of them had all or a few of the following undesirable traits: * Sale/Pushy * Overlooking my needs, my concerns, and realistic budget. Sorry, I am not a multi-billionaire. * Inexperienced, new to the industry "Um did you just google that information?" * Greed Driven * Predator vs. Prey mentality. Realtor being predator, me being the unknowing/uninformed prey. This search was miserable, and I wanted to give up. I finally caved in for mommy's help and suggested Anthony. When I first met Anthony, there was something that I knew that was different from my previous experiences. First, he knew my name before I told him and greeted me like a friend. To me that says a lot , obviously it may be a sales tactic but it made me feel like he would listen to my needs and understand the reality of my budget. I was wrong, it wasn't a sales tactic it is just how he is. He gave me the guidance I needed for a first time home buyer, and respected me like a person with a 50 million dollar budget. Trust me I am not even close to that number in terms of purchasing budget. He is highly knowledgeable, professional, and gives a warmth of a true friend who is willing to work for you and not for his bank account. So the search began, he gave me options of what my budget could afford. He showed me the lowest of my budget first, but informed me with a little TLC I could take the extra saved money to renovate and make a profit on the house. He showed me homes that were at my high end, but never showed me anything that would tempt me to go over budget where I would have to make a lot of sacrifices. He taught me that, going over my budget isn't always the best way to start when you buy your first home and wanted to ensure that I had the best experience with my new home and not have to stress about paying a mortgage I can't afford. He never pushed me on anything, other than telling me what properties would sell fast. In addition, he always taught me what properties should be negotiated lower than offering price, and was clear to me when something was a true bargain. He guided me and gave me options with great information in order for me to make my decision that is right for my life. We are currently still searching for the right property, and he says that I will know it when I see it. We stay in contact and he always keeps me up to date on what he finds that meets my long list of must....I know I may have to give some up. However with his help, he gave me the facts I need to know, the reality of what the market is like vs. my budget, and is patient with me on making the commitment to buy. We met Anthony through Redfin in early 2016, when we were looking for a condominium property in Culver City. Our initial surprise was how promptly Anthony got back to us from a quick online post. Within a few minutes. We all hit it off immediately. It was a "low inventory" market when we were looking but Anthony -- who thoroughly knows the Westside -- kept a sharp eye on everything that was available, and ended up finding a unique opportunity for us: a unit owned by investors who were after a quick sale. It needed a lot of work but -- because of that -- was available on favorable terms. We bought it, but Anthony's help didn't end there. He also has a contractor's license, is experienced in remodeling, and has any number of valuable contacts in the building trades. He helped us plan the remodel (painting throughout, new kitchen, new baths, plumbing, new flooring, etc.) and brought in some great (and very reasonably priced) workers, supervising their activities even though his days were usually jammed full of client work. The end product was excellent, within the budget we had planned on and with very few of the typical quality compromises one often has to make in remodeling work. He knows what to look for in properties and is honest on what is good and bad. He never pushed me on any property one bit. if I could give him the 6th star I would! Where do I even start or end with Anthony Ridino? I met him by chance, I was at some event with my sister. We ended up striking a random conversation about zip lining in Costa Rica, my sister happened to be a fan- I don't know why though, fear has never been my ideal pass time. Long story short it came up that my sister was thinking about becoming a homeowner. Anthony informed us he was a Real Estate Agent. I guess she didn't want to be hassled, she right away told Anthony that she already had an agent in mind. As shameless as my sister is, she proceeded to bomber him with a myriad of questions, she was a first time buyer-"poor guy" I thought. Through out the whole hour of the Q and A, Anthony remained very patient and attentive. I mean there were plenty of times where he could have gone "duh" or make a bathroom excuse and run for it, I mean there was nothing in it for him anyway, since my sister already had an agent-but he didn't, he stayed put and answered all her questions. Meanwhile I was on the sidelines rolling my eyes at her millions of questions and feeling a tad embarrassed of how we were monopolizing this guy's precious time. What Anthony did at that random encounter was providing my sister with the the most valuable information aka ammunition that any first time buyer should be privileged to have, information that that she ended up using later to her own advantage. Before we left we asked Anthony for his card, he didn't even shove it down our throats like what other agents would typically do, and if he did, it was warranted, we practically held him hostage for almost 2 hours!!. As you know in LA you get a lot of Real Estate Agent business cards, I have a bowl full of them and I also have a personal real Estate agent that I have used before. So when it came time to shop around for the house, I gave my sister some recommendations from my bowl of cards and friend's referrals. My sister didn't want to deal with any of them, she had also met a couple by herself and she insisted that she wanted to only deal with Anthony Ridino, she still had his card 10 months later. I tried to convince her that she didn't know the guy, she should go with someone we already knew. In her own words she said "there was something genuine about him." She emphasized she didn't need to be friends with her real estate agent, she just wanted someone who was knowledgable about the industry, patient, honest, attentive,professional and most importantly an agent who was not going to hassle her or talk down to her because she was a clueless first time buyer. I guess that 's what happened to her with the two other agents she saw. So we both met with Anthony a week later, I was there through the whole deal making process. Let me say this, my sister is not the easiest person to order food with (plenty of When Harry Met Sally moments) let alone conduct business with, she is super anal and would want a clarification of every sentence on the contract. I am writing this review because I was really impressed with the way Anthony dealt with my sister, It was really refreshing to deal with someone with that much passion for his work, he never lost his nerve, he was always on point with solutions -there was nothing half assed about this guy. My sister ended up with the house of her dreams because of Anthony; so it is rather ironic that he sent my sister a beautiful bouquet of flowers as a "housewarming" gift. I mean we should be the one sending him something to reward him for giving us such a pleasant home buying experience. Words cannot describe how grateful I am to have used Anthony Ridino as my real estate agent. As you may know, the housing market in Los Angeles is crazy. Very little listings and multiple offers. When I first met Anthony at a condo listing, he came well prepared with the knowledge of the market and what to expect if we do decide to purchase. Unethical and lazy. Shows up late for appointments or fails to show up at all. Seems to represent only buyers... he failed to bring me one serious offer after a three month listing and posted false information about my property after he was unable to undercut me and low ball my house to "flippers" in a hot sellers market. You would be ill served by listing with him if you want to sell at a fair price. He needs to lawyer up!!! read more

Anthony helped me purchase my first home and it was a great experience! He is very knowledgeable, hardworking and always took the time to answer my calls; even when it was later in the evening. Before meeting Anthony I worked with a couple realtors who didn't seem to appreciate my needs. It was very discouraging because it felt like my time was being wasted and my needs were being ignored. But I knew Anthony was different from the very first time we spoke. He was very patient and really took the time to understand what it is I was looking for and thoroughly explained my options within my budget.
