Although I can't compare as I've never been to a Christmas tree farm, even when I was a kid we just bought our tree's from a parking lot, what really set Crossen apart was the friendly small town service. From the Merry Christmas's said by everyone, to the guy who properly tied our tree to our car providing the rope and everything, to the offers to help saw our tree, to the reasonable prices (this year every tree was $45), to the free hot chocolate, and Santa visit this place is one we plan to come back to every year and I highly encourage you to do the same!

They also have a little store where they sell various things you may need from tree bags to stockings to wreaths and everything in between. They also have commentary hot chocolate for you to enjoy and give candy canes when you pay. Everything in there is priced lower than most other stores. I'd rather go here than Walmart for some of the items for the price! The staff are all friendly and even helped my dad tie the tree to the roof of our SUV. For those that do cut their own, there are saws to borrow and even a tractor ride that comes around on a 15 min loop. We ended up finding a 7.5 foot Fraser Fir and it cost around $100. Once we decided on the tree, a friendly employee came over and tagged it for us. We paid and were able to pull our car around where they had already taken a fresh cut and some low branches off. Then, they wrapped the tree and tied it to our car roof. Great service and a quick morning! We will be back!

Nice little FAMILY run Christmas tree farm. The man that helped us said his father used to run the…read morefarm and now he has it. They have a little bit of a walk to the actual trees. So, they have a wagon that carts people out to the trees. It was a nice little touch. When you get out to the trees they have some handsaws that you can take to cut your tree. If you don't want to cut it yourself, then you put a little tag on the tree and they will cut and haul it for you. They had pre-cut concolors, which is what I wanted to buy. The owner brings the concolors in from someplace in Springwater. But my family wanted to hack one down, so we went out to the trees. They have white and blue spruce trees, and I think Douglas Fir. We cut a blue spruce which perfectly fit into our corner. The majority of the trees appear to have grown naturally. They don't seem to do a lot of shaping of them throughout the year. They are still pretty and natural looking. They wrap the trees in the baling stuff and even help load and tie the tree to your car. There's a small shop that they sell homemade wreaths in and some crafts. They also had some cookies and hot chocolate there. A great touch after a cold trip to the trees. Price... very reasonable. I think ours was $35. STILL wish we got the precut concolor though. They hold their needles so well. Maybe they will plant a couple for the upcoming years!
