She convinced me to crown a perfectly good tooth in order to connect to and support the tooth that actually needed a crown. However, when a few issues came up with the crown (a chip, a grey tint that made the teeth look dead), she said that the tooth would be fine without support. I told her that I didn't even feel comfortable biting into thick sandwiches with the tooth. She was very dismissive of my concerns and unwilling to flex on correcting the procedure to be as initially planned/discussed. In fact, she seemingly made up reasons to explain why having two separate/unconnected crowns was better. OK... then why did you crown a PERFECTLY FINE tooth? She pretends to be understanding, but if an actual issue comes up she is rigid at best and dishonest at worst. Today, it is clear that the tooth did indeed need additional support as it has moved and sticks out (either being bonded to that other crown or as an implant which is what I had initially asked for). I will never go back to her. I urge anyone considering cosmetic work to look elsewhere.

I stated the only thing that has changed on my account is my address. The Receptionist at the desk was talking on a personal phone call. Instead of taking to me handed me 3 pages of forms to fill out stating. " I haven't seen you in a couple of years." I reiterated the only thing that is changed is my address. There was no flexibility on her simply changing that request I walked out because if the person at the front desk is too lazy to perform that simple task? They misrepresented treatment to be given, options available, price of services, and later increased price owed with no notification. I came into Dr Huddleston's office with a abscessed tooth needing a root canal. I originally called as a referral of my family doctor. He recommended I call Dr Huddleston to either have him do the root canal or to get a referral of a dental surgeon. When I called I spoke with Debbie. I told Debbie I was looking for an oral surgeon because I wanted to be put under for the root canal. I DID NOT want to be awake for the procedure. Debbie politely talked with me about what I was experiencing and said she couldn't give me a surgeon's name but assured me they could handle everything in their office. So I agreed to come in the next day After arriving at the office I was informed that they are not equipped to put people under and could only do a general local anesthetic. At this point I was already in a great deal of pain & very sick so I didn't want to risk getting any worse. I begrudgingly agreed to go ahead with the procedure knowing it would hurt very badly. I had provided my insurance info prior to the visit and was told there would be a nominal cost for me. So at least I felt assured in that. I never met Dr. Huddleston and only met his assistants. One woman came in and said they may be able to save the tooth as it was very badly damaged, but also told me I needed to get a root canal on another tooth on the other side. They told me if I didn't do it soon I would lose the other tooth. I was already in pain and on medications for it so I was pretty scared and terrified now. I asked how much this would all cost and they said they would check my insurance and let me know. After sitting in the chair waiting for about 15 minutes Debbie came back in. She sat down with me and showed me the total cost of the procedure which she said would be about $1250 for one tooth or $2500 for both. She said my insurance would cover $900 of it and I would have to pay the rest myself. I worked out a payment plan then with them for three more payments of $100 each, one of which I was paying that day. So I had two more payments. I then went to prep for the operation. But right before they started drilling the doctor lady came in again and said I had one final release of liability to sign that said that some equipment could break off in my mouth and some other major complications could happen. They presented this to me RIGHT as I was about to have my mouth drilled and had already had local anesthetic applied. I was terrified at this point. This was the worst time to try to present another release of liability. The entire time of this surgery I was thinking of equipment breaking off in my mouth. .. which it did. It took them an hour longer to do the surgery they expected. The hygienist couldn't keep the spring clamp connected right and metal kept flying all over the office. The drill bit broke, my mouth was killing me from being open for three hours, and I was now crying from pain since the local was wearing off or having little effect. This was why I wanted to be put under. So I didn't have to experience this moment. And they assured me... this moment wouldn't come. The hygienist eventually rushed through the end of the procedure getting the filling in. They said they couldn't put a crown on at this point which is something I thought they would be able to do. They said I'd have to come back for that. I have no intention on ever returning here again. But then today I get a phone call from Debbie saying my credit card on file declined. The one I gave them had become lost and I didn't update it. I called her back right away to update the credit card because I thought this was my final payment of $100. I was then informed I still had a balance of $295 dollars left to pay off. It turns out that my insurance paid for less than I was originally told and Debbie never notified me. She just planned on billing my credit card until it was paid off. This is an extremely shady business practice. Everything Debbie told me from being able to be put under, to costing just $300, to having nothing to worry about in regards to the surgery, to there being only a little pain was either a lie or misleading. I will never recommend this office to anyone ever.

You want to know how good Dr Curtis is? I lived in Southern California for 7 months last year and flew back to Seattle from San Diego just to get my teeth cleaned. I'm very particular about dentists since I get anxiety and have sensitive teeth, so I decided its worth staying with Dr Curtis even if it means catching a flight to get to my appointments!

I definitely don't understand why someone would characterize him as rude because he was very polite and interested in me and what had brought me to his office. I was most surprised by his low pricing relative to his reputation and amount of experience! For about 3-4 months I had investigated the cost and where to go to complete a total mouth reconstruction. I.e. implants and fixed dentures. I spent weeks researching and meeting with dental consultants. I came to Dr. Feldman's office assuming he would provide me with the upper range in pricing for dental implants. His prices were actually lower than non surgeons with a third of his experience. If you read my other reviews, you will see that I always do my homework with regards to getting things done that matter. Without a doubt Dr. Feldman and Dr. Bloomquist at Swedish in Seattle are the best in the Pacific Northwest at dental and maxillofacial surgery.

A piece of bone was protruding from my jaw, lacerating my tongue every time I spoke. I went to a dentist who referred me to Dr Feldman - I got an appointment right away - which made me happy- late in the afternoon. This was 2 years ago - but from the office you'd think it was 1978- the receptionist was aghast that I had not brought my checkbook. I hadn't written a check in years - they did not have the ability to take any kind of credit/debit cards. Then they came to get me, taking another complete set of ex rays - One of the first things Dr Feldman told me my drs were idiots and that there was no way cancer could be diagnosed from dental ex rays - which struck me odd - Drs don't usually bad mouth each other. After that he looked at the ex rays then told me that he was leaving in 2 hours to fly to Singapore to meet a grandchild and that someone would contact me in 2 weeks to schedule something - he had only taken my appointment to "get another one in " before his vacation then he was gone. I was in pain and all he did was try to cast doubt in my medical team - milk my insurance and leave. Funny thing though - I managed to fall a asleep that night - when I woke up the next morning - it was gone - it had broken off in the night - less than 10 hours after he looked at my ex rays. You'd think one could tell. I never heard from him again - but he continues to bill me the $40 co pay - I am sure it has cost him more than that to try to wring the $40- I hope since then he has upgraded his office to include those new fangled card readers Why'd I wait so long? He offered a name of a new place, but that place refused to take my case because allegedly he was restarting his practice. I have not been able to get in contact with him, and I am very nervous and angry. Has any former patients of his been able to finish their treatment elsewhere, or been able to get in contact with Dr. Ogata?

He is now supposedly going to care for his patients during off-hours, at a borrowed dentists office. Patients remain deeply confused about who will care for them, and what will happen in the event of an emergency. Totally unethical, and more importantly, unsafe. Hoping none of Dr. Ogata's legacy patients get hurt. Really, really bad.
