This has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had with any business type. They will do the…read moresame bracket over and over expecting a different result, the workers would rather talk to each other than focus on working on your mouth (I've been stabbed in the gums by two different people because they felt they needed to look up and talk while working). Also, the front office and the actual workers don't communicate. One side tells me to come in for original appointments after needing a fix and then the other cancels appointment after I had to take time off work to come in. The office doesn't explain why they keep doing the same brackets over and over even when I questioned them saying my teeth are hitting the brackets, they said it was fine and it wasn't as it broke repeatedly. I was never presented with different options and when I asked about transferring my treatment, they first lead with I would owe them the full amount for treatment (bullying), and then the next time I was in the office, they tried gaslighting me that I was bullying them. Please disregard their reply as it's just them saving face.

On his behalf, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the customer service he received during his recent visit to your office. He had written a check for $2,300 toward his treatment (which would entail multiple visits), only to be informed afterward that the exact amount due was $2,303.75. While he acknowledge the discrepancy (less than $4), he was disappointed in how your team handled the situation. When he offered to pay the $3.75 difference at his next visit, this reasonable request was denied. He then made an effort to visit an ATM to obtain cash, and offered a $20 bill -- yet was told your office could not provide change. He even suggested applying the remaining $16.25 as a credit toward his account, which was also refused. Rather than working with him in good faith to resolve a minor payment difference, he was told that he was "not a good fit as a patient" -- a statement I found dismissive, unprofessional, and unnecessarily harsh, especially considering he had already presented a check of nearly the full amount and made efforts to resolve the remaining balance. I expected that he be treated with basic respect and flexibility, particularly as someone who was cooperative and willing to make payment. This experience has left me questioning your office's commitment to patient care and professionalism. I hope Advanced Orthodontics Burien takes this feedback seriously and consider adopting more reasonable, patient-friendly practices in the future. I for one am soured by my husband's experience and have shared with my friends and fellow healthcare colleagues about the poor treatment he received and being dismissed as being "not a good fit".

My child went to Peralta for 2 years starting when they were 12, within 6 months they had several cavities & after a year & 1/2 (& 4 fillings) requested removal because our kid couldn't/ wouldn't properly brush with their braces on. Peralta resisted & refused to remove them for 6 more months. Now they need 15 more fillings. When I reached out to Peralta to see if he had anything to say in regards to the fact that his "services" have left my child's teeth in worse shape than before, he refused to accept any responsibility for his part in this failure. Our kid was too immature to care for their teeth with braces & as a professional Peralta should have counsel us to wait. His only response was that our child's oral hygiene was fair & therefore he did nothing wrong. Learn from our family's costly mistake- DO NOT GET YOUR CHILD BRACES unless their oral hygiene is perfect and DO NOT GO TO PERALTA.

I can definitely understand why he was highly recommended by my dentist. Appointments were easy to make and the office was really helpful about answering any questions I had. The facilities were always comfortable and super clean. As an adult going through the process, I appreciated the design and feel of both offices. There's great art up and good tunes at both locations. I mention this because I attended a couple ortho consults where the offices made me feel like I was older than their average client. They managed to make both their offices feel both family friendly and yet approachable for people in their 30s like me. Other than the results, the best part about my experience is that I always felt that the whole team at Peralta Ortho really cares about what they do.

No thanks! We wanted a more personal experience and got that with Dr. Choi. She is knowledgeable, gentle, and patient. She wants the best results but knows the patient must be onboard to achieve that. She talks directly to the patient and lets them know her expectations of their responsibility in having braces.
