Dr Slagle was extremely condescending and rude. My first interaction with him was so unprofessional I just left.

Two…read moreminutes after examining the tooth, the doctor recommended Invisalign, adding that Floss was running a special for $3,100. I disagreed, and the hygienist pointed to the X-ray which indicated that my lower teeth were not pushing against the upper tooth and thus was not the source of the break. Instead of Invisalign, the doctor placed a crown on the upper tooth. Several months later the tooth broke. The dentist in Italy did a quick and temporary fix, adding that the crown was done incorrectly. Dr. Pietsch should have removed some of the gum tissue to expose more tooth to anchor the crown. The receptionist said there would be no charge to do a permanent fix, since the crown failed after several months. Nonetheless, I was charged $550. The worst of it was the following year the doctor confirmed that the root of that tooth was infected. She added that there was very little bone left and sent me to a periodontist. I later received a call from Dr. Pietsch who said there was no way to save the tooth. Once again, she insisted that there was too little bone. I asked about an implant, but she recommended instead a three-tooth bridge for almost $9000. (My research indicated that implants last longer and are stronger, btw). I got a second opinion. That second dentist said I had plenty of bone and sent me to a different periodontist. He confirmed that due to calcification around the root the tooth couldn't be saved. He added that there was still a lot of bone. Subsequently, I had the implant done in Italy. There was no need to graft any bone. I had enough to support the implant. It is now almost three years later and I am totally satisfied. I also saved $6000.

I visited the Ravenna Dental Clinic three times…read more -The first time was with Dr. Siew which I would rate as a 5-star experience because Dr. Siew was my dental hygenist who cleaned my teeth and my examining dentist. When he cleaned my teeth and talked to me, he was gentle, attentive, and caring. I asked him if he regularly cleaned teeth in the dental hygenist role and he said yes. -The second time I had Dr. Kim as my dental hygienist and examining dentist Dr. Kim was really rough on my gums as she rushed through cleaning my teeth. I'd rate this as a 1-star experience. But since I had such a fantastic experience with Dr. Siew, I asked for my next appointment to be with Dr. Siew as the dental hygienist and examining dentist. -The third time my dental hygienist was a UW graduate. The way he talked and worked felt he had just graduated college and had zero experience being a dental hygienist. He was rough on my gums and sloppy with his cleaning and he continually apologizing the whole time.

I've been to their clinic for the last 15 years and it was great every time. They're both very patient and pleasant to work with. I like that Dr Siew is very conservative in his dentistry and does not push for any unnecessary procedures. I am sad to take my family elsewhere, but highly recommend them to anyone in the area.

Her breadth of knowledge and clear passion for sleep is evident. Stands out heads and shoulders above other sleep dentists I visited who just prescribed a solution and I didn't understand risk/benefits, pros/cons. I really felt like Dr. Bahl has her patients interests first and foremost and will not be satisfied until she's done everything to address sleep apnea. Top doctor! Her front desk staff is also super attentive, proactive and service oriented.

What a bummer experience. My partner went to UDistrict Smiles after a friend of ours had a decent…read moreexperience there but our experience was terrible. For the first appointment, the dentist was late and my partner had to use the bathroom, when my partner had finished, her things were at the reception desk and the dentist was nowhere to be found to give her any guidance on how to use the sleep apnea at-home test. Fast forward to today, my partner went to get a crown and was only told AFTER her tooth was already ground down that this was only a temporary crown. Had we known that this would only be a temporary crown, we wouldn't have scheduled her dentist appointment a week before Thanksgiving. There was zero anticipatory guidance before the temporary crown was place or even during. My partner had to advocate for herself as far as what she could eat (nothing chewy like bread or sandwiches a week before Thanksgiving, great) and only got that advice because she had to pester the dentist for it. The dentist said to only chew with one side of her mouth, which makes me wonder if she would've had said anything had we not asked. The dentist didn't give any explanation before doing anything, my partner had to ask all the questions and the lack of communication was so astounding that I had to check with my friend that this was indeed the same dentist due to their very differing experiences. Not only that, but my partner was quoted $600 for the crown placement but ended up having to pay $1000 because they repaired a cracked filling that they never even mentioned having to repair in addition to the crown. My partner was not prepped at all for what this appointment would entail and we were very disappointed with how everything went down. Terrible communication, zero anticipatory guidance, would not recommend in the slightest.
