I truly appreciate the level of accountability and care they showed in making things right. That kind of commitment to quality workmanship makes a big difference. While my initial experience was frustrating, their response and willingness to stand behind their work has restored my trust in their company. He even said if neither of the two he took from his stock didn't fit, he would go to the local hardware store and buy one that did fit. My generous calculations being familiar with going rates: 2 service calls at $150 each-----------$300 5 hr plumber at $120/hr---------------$600 16 hr laborers at $30/hr---------------$480 Materials------------------------------------$100 --------- $1480 total (padded amt) I was charged $2,174, the unfortunate fact is most plumbing needs are near emergency and you are at the plumbing companies' mercy and they most charge accordingly. Others had given me a phone estimate of about $300 plus parts with parts on the truck. I feel I was grossly over-charged and while they did great work back in 2017, never again. I don't like being taken advantage of. Money's too hard to come by for retirees. I DO NOT recommend these folks. Besides, the tech started getting pushy about getting the maintenance contract. Just like other big-name HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing companies these days.

We've had BullDawg Electric come out to do several different things for us. They did a great job, and offered a couple of solutions that saved work, and money for us, but cost them. Second, we had them install a back up generator for us. They took care of everything from permits, to concrete pads, to contacting a plumber to run the gas line and finally the installation. And third most recently, we wanted to upgrade the lights we had hung on our patio with a switch rather than a plug. And they would have done it for us, but after some thought about wnat we wanted to do, Les (the owner) called and offered an easier and less expensive solution for us. By getting smart plugs, we could do the job ourselves. IK this isn't a terribly challenging thing to do, but I had no idea smart plugs even existed. The point is BullDawg could have done the job and made some money, but instead, looking out for his customer, offered and alternative that saved us money and time. It has benefitted me in scheduling AND pricing! I had my yearly inspection/tune up with ALONSO P. He was very professional, easy to talk to, and thorough, including changing my filter. He covered his shoes and petted my doggie!! Several days later, we had horrendous storms in my area, and several of my switches and outlets had been zapped and would not work. I called for service, and JAKE S. came the VERY NEXT DAY!!! I had been added to his schedule, so it was later in the evening. Again, Jake was very pleasant, and thorough. He checked every problem I pointed out, and, lickety-split, FIXED EVERYTHING, including my high stairway pendant light and my thermostat!!! Since mishaps come in threes, my heater then began acting weird! It was tying hard to start, and if it did, would only run a minute or less. At one point, it was 59* in my house! I did not hesitate to call Hobson. (BTW, their phone is answered by a PERSON!!!! And every person to answer their phone is DELIGHTFUL AND HELPFUL!) This time, I had the pleasure to have LEO H. answer my call. WOW! Leo is beyond AWESOM! He listened to my description and then went to work. He diligently worked on my unit until he found the culprit! A tiny crack deep in one part that he showed me. Then LEO said these magic words, "I HAVE THE NEEDED PART ON MY TRUCK!!!) Wha...?! He promptly fixed it and my heater has been humming along ever since!! My home is cozy and warm. YAY, LEO! EVERY technician who has come to my home has been courteous, professional, knowledgeable, efficient and VERY pleasant to work with. He told me what was wrong and that he could fix my electrical outlets in 45 minutes. However, he quoted me a price of $1600. Outrageous. And that was only if I signed up for an extended service contract. I said I didn't want any contract and then he said the price would be higher. I felt like he was more of a used car salesman than an electrician. I said no to him and his price and then got in contact with another electrician who was very professional and kind and he fixed all my outlets and even my front porch light for $200. There is something very "shady" about Hobson. I wish I had read their other Yelp reviews before their guy showed up.
