I had them do some work for me and they did a decent job. I was going to hire them for another project but before scheduling they require half of the total price as a down payment which was $1.4k. I had a very disappointing experience with HR Phoenix Electrical. The electrician arrived about 50 minutes late -- which I was willing to overlook -- but it quickly became clear the technician was moving extremely slowly. After taking a long time to diagnose the issue, he told me I simply needed a new GFCI outlet. I've replaced these myself before for under $20, so I was surprised when he quoted $298 for the hour, despite only being there roughly 30 minutes at that point. He then said he had to leave and purchase a GFCI from a hardware store -- surprising for such a basic and common part. He assured me he would be back, complete the work, and still finish within an hour total. Instead, he was gone about 25 minutes, returned, and ended up barely over the one-hour mark. Because of that, he charged me for a second full hour, even though the delay was entirely due to his slow pace and leaving to buy a part he should have had on-hand. To make matters worse, I had a coupon for a free estimate that he said didn't apply, meaning I would be charged even if I stopped the job -- which is the only reason I didn't cancel when I realized I couldn't supposedly use the coupon. Had I known I would be charged for two hours after the first scam, I would have asked him to leave within the first 30 minutes and handled the fix myself and saved hundreds of dollars. This felt dishonest, overpriced, and like a bait-and-switch. I strongly recommend avoiding HR Phoenix Electrical. I hope sharing my experience helps others steer clear of the same situation. read more

I made an attempt to put an insulated blanket over my mother's electric water heater. In the course of doing so, I managed to cause an electric arc of epic proportion and shorted out her entire house. I checked and flipped all the breakers and no luck. I found HR Phoenix through Yelp and I am glad that I did. An electrician was at the house within 20 minutes. Jackson was prompt, courteous, and professional. He went over everything that I did, took a look at the water heater, and ran a few tests to determine whether it was still good. He identified the wiring problem, fixed it, and then checked all of the circuit breakers to make sure that everything was good. He was very thorough and we felt like everything that needed to be checked was checked. He didn't try to upsell any products or services. HR Phoenix's pricing was in line with the ither companies that responded to my request, but they were able to come immediately and did an excellent job. We contracted this company for a simple wiring job to include track lighting, and wall mounted fans in our new commercial property. 0/10 would not recommend. We were initially quoted a four day turnaround time and the project took almost 4 weeks; so long that we had to push back the opening of our business. They damaged one of the ceiling tiles during our fan install and did not replace it. The install for the lights were delayed because the correct parts were not ordered. They also had to reposition the lights twice because they were off-center and not equal distance apart. The lights and fans were not set up how we requested, and as a result, the light switches are backwards, so the labeling and instructions for our staff had to be completely redone. While certainly don't expect anyone to be perfect, it was such a bummer to deal with the attitudes from the contractors. Service writer walked with me to 1st project in the house. I asked him to walk through the house with me to note which elec outlets needed to be replaced/repaired. He said it wasn't necessary- that his tech would walk through with me when he came. It turned out that in about 20 minutes the tech was finished with that 1st small project, having reused my old part! When I invited him to see the outlets needing replacing or repairs, he said that wasn't on his work order! THAT WAS THE BULK OF MY NEED FOR AN ELECTRICIAN!! So Phoenix charged me the standard $350 coming-out charge for a 20-minute job for which the repairman used MY OLD PART! read more

We bought a house and the inspector said it was copper wiring. When we replaced a ceiling fan we realized it was aluminum wiring throughout and only new copper wires to the new breaker box. . When one of the light switches started to spark we began our search for an electrical company to fix the mess in the walls and the chaos of wires in the attic. HR also for some dangerous patch jobs instead of doing pig tails, we opted for a full house rewire. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What a mess they had to deal with in the attic but they were always professional, tidy, timely and communicated throughout the project which took a few weeks to finish.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were living in the house at the time and they were so considerate to only shut off the part of the house as they were working on it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The "new" breaker box the previous homeowner installed was overloaded so they also added an additional breaker box. It was not the cheapest quote we received but the service, workmanship and professionalism were well work the few extra dollars. I simply cannot say enough great things about our experience! I called to have them trace a problem, they charged me $460 for less than one Hr of labor and did not fix the problem. I had another company out and they found a broken wire behind a receptacle. They only charged $130. I cant understand how a company can charge so much without accomplishing their job. Shame on you HR Phoenix!! read more
