The inside is absolutely gorgeous! It had a royalty vibe with the reds, golds, and browns. This made me think that it would be a great place to get my nails done. I really thought they would do a good job. I was WAY wrong! I went in for a full set of acrylic nails and a pedi. Pedi - The towels they use to wrap your legs in were steaming hot. When they took them off, my legs were blotchy and very red. During the leg massage, they were pushing down so hard that it felt like they were bruising me. The paint job was fine, but the overall experience was not satisfying. They didn't even exfoliate the bottom of your feet. My feet were still dry and rough which never happens to me after a pedi. Mani - I went with my friend who just got gel; acrylic nails take longer. I was done first. The job was done way too fast and the paint job was awful. My nails aren't fully covered with polish, the oval tip was so jagged & uneven, my nails aren't the same length, some of the tips were put on slanted, and the acrylic didn't even cover my whole natural nail. Later that day, my friend said her gel nails were already chipping! One week later, my acrylic nails were already peeling off! They also made my friend bleed. They used some bottle to help stop the bleeding and THEY TOUCHED THE TIP OF THE BOTTLE TO HER BLOOD! Who knows how many times they have done that and how contaminated that bottle is by now!! Completely unsanitary! Overall, I would never recommend this place to anyone. They do a rush job, they aren't careful, you will not be satisfied with how your nails turn out, and they are so uncomfortably unsanitary! For the amount I paid, it was definitely not worth it! Anthony Vince Nails Spa is your average ubiquitous nail place with a nicer atmosphere and longer hours. Those longer hours cost me $20 more and blood cuts on two cuticles. It aggravates me when the technician draws blood. It hurts for a week and leaves an unattractive scab. Furthermore other annoyances: the other customers were offered water. I had to ask. But the staff was very responsive. Though I brought my own flip flops, the technician insisted on using the foam ones. Thus, I had to shuffle to the sinks waaay back in the back of the salon. I like the nicer environment with relaxing music and station drying fans that actually work. And parking was a breeze, even with the location at the Corners. Also no overwhelming chemical smell - a nine starter for me. But, for the same price I can go someplace where they don't insist on cutting cuticles in the first place and I can wear my own flip flops. And the staff does not leave their snacks out on counters and chat with each other about their phone messages. Or question my "neutral" nail color. I can go someplace with all of these "charms" for twenty dollars less. Anyway, that's what I get for sleeping in. I am now motivated to get over to salon around the corner first thing Saturday or Sunday morning for my cheap mani/pedi and I and still in search for a upscale relaxing nail salon experience with evening hours. read more

Review on the front desk woman, Liv. This needs to be said. The hard-working nail technicians at this salon are nothing short but perfectionist, and excellent at their craft. Where this salon lacks is in those managing the front desk, particularly, one who I believe is named "Liv." I went to have my acrylics removed Monday night and the way that this young woman, Liv, spoke to Tracey and other staff workers was unacceptable. Tracey and a number of other employees are not all fluent in English, in her case, having Vietnamese as a first language. The tone she had in telling Tracey she was doing my nails, and the way she spoke to Tracey as if she is stupid, which she most certainly is not, was disgusting. A language barrier for a non-English speaker does not mean a person is of lower intelligence or ability. Liv's prissy attitude, appearing as though she believes she is above or better than the nail technicians was frankly disgusting and bordering on racist. I will gladly go and see Tracey and other nail technicians again to have my nails done, but the way that Liv and other front desk staff talk to this staff needs to be addressed and this girl, in particular, needs to check herself and reevaluate how she treats others. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I took my mom there for a special mom/daughter date and it was very sad. We went for pedicures and a simple curlicue clean up (not a full manicure, literally just file and cuticles, no polish at all). My technician did ok during the pedicure but when he took me to start on my hands he stepped on my wet toes. He proceeded to do the whole foot over again but they didn't look anywhere near where they did before. So while I was frustrated with that he cleaned up my cuticles as requested but then had the audacity to charge me the full $25 manicure price! When I asked again because I literally had no polish or anything he just said, "yes, $25". The icing on the cake was when we went to leave after paying way too much money for very mediocre services and he told me to put my shoes on. I was worried about my right foot being tacky still since it didn't have as much time to dry but he said they were completely dry and to just put my shoes on.......... low and behold, definitely NOT dry. Completely smudged all inside my shoe. This was our first experience here and I will not only not be going back but I will never recommend them to anyone. I absolutely deserve a refund and when I called to complain I was told they couldn't help me. Very sad and disappointing experience. read more

I went in today for a mani/pedi. I was impressed that they had a wine bar, however I asked for a wine menu twice and never received one. I showed them pictures of what I was looking for, including some basic nail art for my mani. They assured me they could do it. They wouldn't help me choose colors to match, ended up using wrong colors, and then half way through my polish told me they could not do part of the nail art I requested. I had to ask them twice to repaint a nail that did not look great. When I got home I noticed smudging on one nail. I could have painted my nails better at home. Very disappointed!! read more

Underimpressed is an understatement! First was overwhelmed with too many color choices and then was rushed by the nail tech. The original tech was doing a nice job but seemed annoyed that she needed to wait to soak off my shellac ( even though I told them on the phone I would need it) she then had to leave to go to another job and what appeared to be a manager finished my nails. She seemed extremely rushed and annoyed when I told her I did t like one of the colors (wanted a pop color nail). Instead of removing the 1st layer she just went over it with the new color. I also had to tell her 2 times that there was fuzz in the nail from the cotton balls. When my nails were done you could still see some pink shining through from the 1st layer. Fast forward 5 days and 2 nails chipped from my shellac manicure! And now on day 6 I'm left with only 5 nails with shellac still on them! read more

Unfortunately, there were about 5 layers on my nails of dip from the other salon, and I was in need of some serious help in getting my nails fixed. When I sat down, Chino and I talked about what I didn't like about my nails. He worked very quickly and carefully to remove the terrible dip I had on my nails. I've been going to Anthony Vince for a while now. In my experience it's VERY hit or miss. I've received multiple full sets of acrylics from multiple different technicians, and I've only been satisfied with about two of them. The others were always the wrong shape (I usually get square, but they always come out flared or rounded). I find myself trying to fix mistakes with my nail file at home, which I don't think I should have to do when paying $56 plus a tip. I love the staff there, so I keep going back, but I think it's time for me to find a new place to get my nails done. read more

I decided to give this place a try despite some bad reviews I had read because it was so convenient to my apartment. The place was beautiful and seemed very professional. However when I inquired about getting acrylics the lady at the front desk was not very helpful on the difference in price between gel and dip polish and made me feel rushed and dumb for not knowing beforehand. The man who did my nails was very sweet but made some of my nail beds bleed with the nail drill. He apologized each time but it hurt so bad and a day later they are still burning. He also seemed to get annoyed with me when I wouldn't relax my hands and would say things under his breath when I didn't relax them. My friend already had acrylics and wanted a color change but the lady doing her nails didn't even soak off her preexisting nails before painfully scraping them off. It also cost the same amount as my nails. I gave a $5 tip because of my bloody cuticles and received a very dirty and judgmental look from the lady at the front desk when I gave it to her to pass on to the man who did my nails. My friend didn't even bother tipping. Good potential but I definitely did not feel like a valued customer. Very rushed, sloppy, and careless work but I'm still okay with the end product since this is my first time getting acrylics and I try to be understanding. The shaping is a little awkward with bits glued to my skin and gaps between my nail beds and where the actual polish begins. There also seems to be a lot of residue around my nails from who knows what so I don't like looking at them in the light. Awful. Absolutely awful. I came in with my mom for manicures and pedicures for my birthday. First, they started with the pedicure, and I admit, I don't have the prettiest of toe nails, but he cut my pinky nail so crooked and short that it physically hurts, and then managed to get red polish everywhere around it and on my other toes. (Not to mention he only painted 3/4 of my toe nails) would have complained if I noticed. Then, a lady named LISA did my gel manicure. She has the absolute worst attitude I've ever seen in a nail salon. I pointed out to Lisa that I had a little bit of DARK regular polish on my ring pinky finger. She ignored it. I told her again as she was putting the gel base coat on. This time she spoke a different language to the lady next to her, laughed, and ignored me again. She continued the manicure and completed both of my hands with champagne colored polish. When I looked at my nails, I noticed you could see my old dark polish from under the champagne color. I pointed it out. Again, Lisa spoke a different language to the lady next to her, and then proceeded to tell me that she couldn't see the BLACK POLISH under my light gel color. I asked for a manager, and when he came over he told him that it was a stain on my nail. Wrong. Never did she even attempt to take the polish off. The manager, who was the only good things about this place, apologized and redid my two nails that had polish under them. Lisa is the worst nail technician I've ever had. She rushed and did a half ass job-- three of my nails chipped within 4 hours of them getting done. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Lisa charged me extra for her mistake. $130 is too much money for shitty service. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Honestly worst nail experience of my life. The guy who did my nails didn't introduce himself, smelled of cigarette smoke, and ruined my nails. He filed them down to the skin and didn't take any care to make sure the shellac didn't touch the skin. I asked him at one point what he was putting on my nails and he didn't respond. I explained this dissatisfaction and was told we offer 7 days if it chips. I had an awful experience and that's your response, well great! I was also leaving on vacay the next day so that didn't really help. I asked for a refund because I would need to get them redone and I was told "we don't give refunds" well to be honest I don't like paying for an unsatisfactory service yet here we are. My shellac has already started peeling...took one day. Based on the other reviews I doubt this place will be cursed on anyone else for very long. I came in for a gel nail fill and a pedicure. They were super nice and attentive, clean space, etc. the pedicure was nice, the tech did a good job and was very nice. The negative part was my nail fill. First, I had to pay an extra $5 to shape my nails coffin shape, which I've never had to before. And the guy who did them, although he did a good job, I felt very rushed. Whenever I put my nails under the UV to dry, he didn't let it sit for the full time and kept rushing the process. With that being said, 2 days later, my thumb nail chipped and 4 days later my other thumb nail chipped. My experience here was SO BAD. My natural nails which i got gels on BROKE after 2 days. Never had had this problem before and it hurt so bad. When I contacted the salon they said they could fix them for me complementary. This wasn't really helpful since my nails were already broken off but i went anyways. When i got there they said it was not a complementary service. Also-not to mention when i first got them done i was overcharged then as well. my daughter paid $60 for a full set acrylic nails. She has been getting these for years, but this is her first visit at Anthony's Vince. Unfortunately they are extremely disappointing with sloppy workmanship. Cuticles were not trimmed, the nails were not styled properly on the sides to her fingers nor seated to her cuticle bed. She called the next day to speak to a manager, and was told they would call her. 4 days later she stopped in to be told they could not fix her nails, would not do a complimentary fill nor offer her a refund. (tho they trimmed her cuticles). Very upsetting for a young teen to be spending her own hard earned $ but be taken advantage of by adults. shameful read more

I've been here 3 times for nail dipping, which I love. The first one was average, the second was good and the last, well-i am debating going back. I was charged 45 the first 2 times, the 3rd 50$, although when I called they said a manicure is included in the price (I asked if I could do just a polish change, told they only have the 1 price with Mani) well the last time I was there he asked if I wanted Mani, I said yes, find out it made it 50! A Mani I expect lotion at least at the end--nothing, left with bleeding cuticles and had to ask the tech to retouch areas that looked horrible. He seemed rushed the whole time. They also did not discount me for having a Mani with pedi... 4$ discount, granted it's not huge, if you advertise it, do it. Buyer beware! Don't be fooled by the array of gel and powder colors. This place is a rip off. I was told a powder manicure would be $45. When I went to pay, the cashier told me the total was $50. I questioned the cost and she stated that I had a cuticle treatment and that was an additional $5. Not once was I given the choice or asked if I wanted it done. It was my thought that cuticles were part of a manicure. Silly me. At the end my nail tech got up and walked away so I guess that meant I was done. No lotion or hand massage. I paid $58 for a crappy powder manicure. This place sucks. Oh and their liquor license was pulled so they don't offer wine anymore. False advertising in my opinion.
