We choose this place on a whim but called ahead to schedule an appointment. 3 hours later... after stating I wanted a polish change and not a full manicure, she said I'd still get charged the full manicure price. After questioning how on earth that made sense, the girl next to her chimes in and said they could do that. Then I'm informed the polish removal is $3. Okay. The soak off process was lengthy and they acted like the foil removal was special and costed more, despite it being a better method. They nickel and dime you for everything, especially if you don't ask. So after trying to force me into a manicure, adding on everything they could, and walking out hours later with a crapdone polish change... I think it's safe to say I won't be back. Update!! My nails have also started turning yellow! One picture is the color it's supposed to be, and the others are now turning a gross shade of yellow. Yep, never coming back. read more

The experience in the salon itself was wonderful. The staff was extremely friendly. A bit pushy about getting us to choose colors to start the appointments but whatever. Again all in all the appointment (on a Friday for context) was about what I expected from what I had heard. Yesterday (the following Wednesday so 5 days since the nails were done) one of them chipped. I called to try and see if I could get it fixed and was told today (Thursday) that I only could get it fixed if I came in today, but they may be able to make a one time exception for tomorrow. The guarantee on the website states the polish is guaranteed for 7 days no chipping, but it is not stated the fix needs to take place within 7 days. I'm a bit disappointed and I know the review will be responded to with "thanks we will take this into consideration" without anything coming from it, but maybe someone out there will see this and continue looking. I just moved to the area and this was my first time at Anthony Vince. I meant to have a relaxing morning to prep for my upcoming due date and my experience was terrible. The services (spa pedicure and no chip mani) were very rushed. My heels were barely l exfoliated (one or two quick sweeps) during my pedicure, I didn't get a foot massage, and the paint job was uneven and looked horrendous. I had to ask for it to be fixed before I left. The manicure experience was also sub-par and the paint job is uneven. The polish was very watery and I had to ask for a third coat..which didn't do much. Needless to say, I won't be back and would not recommend to family or friends. read more

Mediocre gel manicure for $40. Salon was dirty; soda cans and boxes all over the place. Floor needed sweep and receptionist was on her phone the whole time while, who appeared to be the manager, worked on paperwork at empty stations. Manicure consisted of mostly soaking off my old gels while the technician went in the back to finish her dinner, a few strokes of the nails file, soaking in water, quick trim of cuticles and polish. Two tiny squirts of lotion rubbed into my hands and off I went. Has a wine bar, not that anyone asked if I wanted a glass. Wont be back. Don't even seem to have name brand polish (opi, cnd, essie). I would not consider for a bridal party. The staff was not very pleasant. They told one of the girls they couldn't do her pedi even though we had a reservation. They asked another if she was tipping after she had left money at her chair! They claimed nothing was there but we saw her leave it. Pedicures were smudged the next day as we were all rushed through. Have been here twice now and disappointed both times. The first visit I was rushed to pick a color from polish bottles that looked quite old and brands I didn't recognize (had to search for OPI.) When starting the pedi I was asked if I wanted to do a gel pedicure instead. I can't and don't do gel, so politely said no thank you. I was asked more times as the tech continued. It's fine to ask, but I shouldn't have to decline more than once and need to keep saying no to finally put an end to the question. The tech rushed through the pedi, and poked me hard in the bottom of my foot with her nail and giggled a little when I jumped. This happened several times. Once could be an accident although careless, more than once is careless or possibly on purpose. The pedicure was so fast that I was done considerably earlier than my friends. The second visit (no improvement to quality of polish bottle choices) we had appointments made weeks earlier, yet no one seemed to be available to take us and there was a lot of confusion, even though they found the appointments in the system. My friends were finally taken for their pedis, and I was left standing around another 10-15 minutes waiting for my manicure. Finally someone took me for the mani, and it was apparent from what I was observing at the check-in desk that I was being squeezed in. I ended up in a different room, nowhere near my friends, and it was the fastest mani I've ever had. I was cringing the entire time my cuticles were being trimmed because the tech was going so fast it hurt and I was afraid I was going to get cut. I don't expect anything to change as I've seen the spa's lack of accountability in responses to other poor reviews, but at least others can read about my experience before choosing to go here. I thought the pedicure was fairly priced ($33, basic) but a basic manicure was $26 (which I feel if a bit overpriced). Also, there is no discount for getting both which is a bit of a bummer. The service was fine, but the color that I picked was completely off. Something in the shop is mislabeled. I said, from the very beginning, that it didn't look right, and they assured me that I wouldn't be able to tell until we were done because you can't tell with powder. When we were finished, I realized that they have two different colors in the color guide that have the same number. And, what I walked out with was significantly lighter than both the shades that had the same number. I explained this to the receptionist twice and her response was just "Thanks for letting us know." I went to this salon recently because I had a gift card. They have a lot of nail technicians and are definitely efficient at getting people in, even if you didn't make an appointment. However, I did make an appointment and walk-ins were taken before us and our appointments started late and took a long time. I understand things can happen though! As for the mani/pedi I thought it was your typical run of the mill manicure and pedicure. For that reason I think it was a little overpriced since it wasn't anything special. Nevertheless, the salon and people were very nice. We avoided the wine since it was ~9$ per glass and that would've added to the already expensive price tag. Nothing was wrong, the mani pedi was great, I probably won't be back though because I could save money going somewhere else! read more

Salon is lovely visually appealing the bar is a nice touch . Came in Friday late afternoon to get no chip manicure and basic pedicure. The pedicure took an hour and a half. The color I picked for my toes didnt match the color in the bottle. The manicure was sloppily done, you could still see the previous color I had before after it was done. Not even 24 hours later it chipped went in for a fix 2 days later they were falling apart. Ince again a good salon doesnt charge you for a no chip removal. Ladies go to Polished in Milwaukee yes its more expensive but the quality is unmatched the manicure lasts for weeks and they dont charge you to remove polish. read more

I stopped in at Anthony Vince after brunch today for a pedicure and decided on a whim to try out a Dip manicure for the first time. I've been here before, and had a great service, so I was excited to go back. Since I was a walk-in, I had to wait about 10 minutes, which was expectedly and I was fine with. My pedicure with technician Britt was awesome! She took her time and did a great job. She was friendly and it was an enjoyable experience. My Dip manicure was rather disappointing. I was willing to pay the extra cost for a dip "manicure", but I didn't even get basic manicure (no cuticle removal, no cuticle oil, lotion, etc). It was really just filing my nails and the dip. I guess I'll take care of the cuticles myself? Additionally, my dip being turned out lumpy in places and the technician argued with me about shortening my nails. So I'll start by saying that it's a beautiful salon, very nice people. Looks very clean and organized. For the crummy part. I paid $92 for a gel mani and pedi! That's absolutely ridiculous. I looked at the services before I made the appointment and not sure how it got to be that much. The person I had seemed like she was in a huge rush and distracted by something, I don't feel like I got the services other people around me were getting. My manicure was terrible, she didn't do anything with my cuticles or any kind of buffering. I had a very small about of old gel on and she didn't even take it off. I understand the charge 5$ to remove that by come on it was like a tiny bit she could have gotten off with the file. I walked out with polish on and around my cuticles and fingers. Great Salon, huge selection and great staff. Salon is neat and cleaned. They use liners for their pedicures which I like because it feels more sanitary. They offer free beverages like water and soda and they have a nice selection for wine! Their AV pedicure comes with a complimentary glass of wine! That's a win win!
