I came here last minute for a walk in, the service was quick and the staff were nice. I don't have any crazy complaints about the nails- they were strong and what I had asked for. After leaving I noticed the acrylic was kinda far from my cuticle, but was in a rush and left so that was my fault , but for $80 it shouldn't look already grown out. The main reason I gave them a two star and don't necessarily plan on returning is the cleanliness. It's been less then a week and my middle finger has been hurting non stop, now there's green on the side of my finger and it's swollen and tender. I havent gotten a pedicure in years due to a bad experience in my home town. My feet were really hurting from work standing on my feet in heels all day and they needed a pick me up...well I needed a pick me up. Lol I decided to treat myself. First time here and everyone was super nice. I was able to do a walk in and I did the signature choice. My nail technician did a wonderful job. Came to get a pedicure with my 10-year-old daughter. I knew they did kid's pedicures here so I figured I would let her get a kid's pedicure while I got mine. I asked the age limit for a kid's pedicure and was told it's 10 years old, so I requested a kid's pedicure for my daughter. I was told since she is tall, she had to get an adult pedicure. I let her know again that she's only 10. She laughed and said "but she's too tall for the kid's pedicure chair". That's just not right and not fair to my child who has no control over her height. Even if she couldn't fit in the kid's chair, we should have been offered for her to sit in the adult chair and only be charged the child's price but I was told I would have to pay the adult's price for her. That is absolutely ridiculous and unfair to a 10-year-old little girl. The level of DISCRIMINATION due to my child being above average height is astonishing. read more

Next visit- different lady- told her not to buff the bottom of my left foot due to just having a callus removed a few weeks ago. She did it anyway- took 5 days for the pain to go away. Anthony Vince has always been a reliable place for me to get a pedicure. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars is because of two things: 1. Their nail techs have a hard time understanding when you say "ONLY". For example: I mentioned I wanted a pedicure ONLY and the lady kept trying to get me to get my nails done. She was like "this color would be cute on nails, let's go see" I'm like, "baby girl, I don't need to see, I know but nails aren't free so I'm going to get these feet done and that's gonna be all she wrote today" 2. The tech kept digging too deep/aggressively when cleaning out around my cuticles. At one point she even nick'ed me with the clippers so I would love for them to just be more cognizant while in the moment. She clearly did not know what she was doing because when she started to put the tips on my nails, she put the glue on my skin and I told her that it hurt and that if she could take the nails off that she had put on and she refused to and went on to say that It was wrong, as if I haven't gotten my nails done so many times. she was making rude comments every time I was in pain from her, stabbing me in the middle of my nail to try and get the glue off that she put on in the first place. I had a wonderful experience here during my stay in Louisville. I had a manicure (which I normally don't get) dip to prevent me from biting my nails and a pedicure. I broke two of my nails so I went back and requested the same technician I had a week and a half before (the young guy with the streak of white color at the front of his hair). I've walked past this nail salon multiple times while browsing through Mall St. Matthews, but it wasn't until just recently that I finally made a visit in here. This salon is big and very pretty on the inside. I got a gel manicure here and it was done very well. I had a younger nail tech who did my nails, and he was very nice, keeping a conversation with me throughout the whole service. I feel like normally when I get my nails done that I am usually not acknowledged, or they just keep to themselves. They have tons of colors to choose from, along with different designs, ombres, and other cool stuff that they offer. My gel manicure was $5 more than other places I have been to, but they did a good job so I didn't mind. This nail salon ends to get a bit busier than others, mainly because it is inside the mall. It isn't as relaxing as others can be since there are more people in here, causing it to be a bit louder. It's still a nice salon though, and I'll probably be back since it is so close to my home. read more

Should have looked at the rating before I came to this establishment. I was in the mall and just decided to get a pedicure since I was there. The pedicure I chose was the $42 package with a sugar scrub. The nail tech explained that normal polish would chip off quickly and gel polish was better and that it would be an Additional $10 making my total $52. I agreed. Upon paying for my services, the total was $62. I asked her to correct it and she began to explain how gel was $20 extra and random other information that was irrelevant and in no way consistent with what she originally told me. After getting a gift card for the nail spa, I finally made time for a mani/pedi. Anthony Vince is located in Mall St Matthews, across from the Cheesecake Factory. I'd called earlier in the day and made a reservation; however, walk-ins are welcome and on this weeknight, I wouldn't have waited. Anthony Vince has a lot of pedi chairs - big, comfy, various massage settings. On the wall were several polishes - more than enough for someone like me that prefers a basic color. The water was a great temp and my nail tech was very attentive, but didn't overtalk so that I could still read a magazine, scan my phone or watch the TVs. The basin is lined in plastic to ensure a sanitary basin. I also appreciated that my nail tech didn't rush through my pedi. I really felt that I was getting my money's worth for their basic mani/pedi. A quick note about tipping - they ask that you tip in cash or check. When credit cards are scanned there isn't a line to add this. They do have small signs but it's tough to miss it and I'd hate to miss tipping for good service. This nail spa would be a great spot for girls day/night out, or a wedding party. Their rooms fit 6 chairs and they do take group reservations. read more

I came in a few days ago because of their promotion sale. Everything was half off Monday - Wednesday for the month of August due to new ownership, definitely a good deal so I tried this place out. First off, I've always walked by this salon when going to the mall and I can tell they've done some renovations. It was beautiful before but now it's even better. Usually I feel a bit awkward but the nail techs were down to earth & I ended up having a good time. I switched up from my usual gel mani and went with dip - best decision yet! They cut my cuticles so clean & dipped so well I'm not shy to say my hands are pretty gorgeous at the moment lol. They have SOOO many color options too. If you have kids they also have cute new pedicure chairs as well. Overall I can say I wish I stopped in sooner this month! I was a bit skeptical at first because of previous reviews and new ownership but they have proven my fears to be irrational. Also: music may not be important to many people but it is for me (especially when you have to listen to it for some time) and they played really good songs. It was a refreshing visit! if I could give 0 stars, I would. i've been coming to this nail salon exclusively for 3 years and I am a regular customer. I come every 3 weeks on the dot and every 2-3 visits I add a pedicure. I just spent over $100 here a week ago and my nail has broken twice. I came yesterday morning for a chipped nail and instead of actually fixing it, they filed it down and sent me on my way. the nail broke again last night after already having to go in once earlier in the day. I go in this morning right as they open to get the nail fixed, expecting them to be busy as the day goes on. today is also the day of my bridal shower and the receptionist is extremely rude and displays NO act of customer service. he tells me to come back at 11 and that they are appointment only which is a complete lie as I come every 3 weeks and always walk in and they serve me without an appointment without any hesitation. I don't have time to come back and he is not understanding whatsoever. I will never come back to anthony vince which is a shame considering how much money i've spent here over the past three years. I was also planning on bringing my bridal party here before my wedding in two months and now, there's no way I would ever trust their services on the biggest day of my life. such a shame, they are losing out on a very loyal client and further opportunities to make more money. updated to comment on Anthony Vince's response: I have broken nails before and any random person available has fixed them once I picked out the color. more often than not, they don't wear their name tags and they don't mention their name to you anyways so this must be a new "rule" as I couldn't even begin to tell you who did my nails the first time- just goes to show, the first time I went in because my nail was chipped, the lady who filed my nail and sent me on my way was NOT the lady who did my nails to begin with. seems like a new rule to cover their ass for poor customer service. my friends also witnessed the blunt rudeness from this establishment and they were absolutely appalled. just save your money and your time and go elsewhere. read more

I'm appalled. I am a loyal customer of this location. When my nine-year-old niece said she wanted to get her nails done for her birthday, I knew the place to take her--or thought I did. Normally, I get excellent service here. But the staff treated me and my niece abhorrently and with overt disdain. I think they must not have wanted to work with a child's nails. I am extremely sad the technicians and staff were rude to my niece, who did not deserve poor treatment. This was her first nail salon experience, and part of her birthday present, which she was looking forward to. The poor service, thinly-veiled contempt, irritable remarks, snide looks, and eye-rolling seemed to be simply because she's a child. I decided to go in and complain that even regular nail polish should not chip within several days on several nails. The manager had the audacity to say regular nail polish only lasts three days. WHAT? If that was the case, no one would get manicures, ever. Since I was making a fuss she said they'd fix the chipped nails. I have been to this salon several times with my 3 daughters. This time, however, I was alone and I have to say the service was terrible. It was morning and so there was no wait and hardly anyone there but I had to have my nails soaked off and it was really a terrible experience. I had to reach over with my arm in the air for over 20 minutes and when I asked if I could put my arm down I was met with a frown. She made my fingers bleed and she kept tossing my hands and or my feet and yanking them. My fingers are all sore and when she took the acrylic off she rubbed it all over my fingers so now they are crusted and shiny and I can't get it off. I took a good hard look at her equipment and I could clearly see that none of it was sterilized or even cleaned for that matter. My three daughters and I will surely not be back.
