Y'all....I have been to my share of nail salons over the years, and this salon- BY FAR- surpasses any other salon in the Louisville area! I was referred to Pretty Nails by my friend. I walked in (without an appointment), and waited for only 5-10minutes before I was taken back! Amazing!!! I have to say that Kianna was absolutely amazing! She is the best nail tech I have ever had! I would consider this place a hidden gem. It is not the cheapest but the service and quality good! I pay $40 for dip. My nails turned out great and were not thick but had enough color to pop and not show my nails underneath. They had a array of colors to choose from including ombre. Lots of beautiful colors to choose from! My nail technician was very nice, personable, and respected my choices, including not added length or designs to my nails. I don't pamper myself in the way of getting my nails done very often. But I was the maid of honor in a wedding and the mother of the groom paid for us to get manicures. It was a nice little treat. And my manicure lasted almost a full week before any really noticeable chipping occurred. That seems like a good amount of time. read more

Totally a 5!! I came in during my lunch to get my shellac gel nails. I love gel nails it allows me to wear my nail polish about 3-4 weeks between visits. This was my first time here and I was so pleased, I was in and out in 30 minutes! Yes you heard me right! Loved the multiple gel color options they have and loved even more the quick time it took to get me in and out. I was immediately seated and the tech began quickly. This is a super convenient location as I am in this Kroger strip often. I overheard an employee taking to a customer, the salon has been open for 15 years! They have regulars they know by name too. Friendly service had me out in a flash! Not sure how evening or weekend wait times would be. read more

I've been on the hunt for a new nail salon that is near my house - so I stumbled upon Pretty Nails through a handy dandy Yelp search. It was great! I picked the perfect time of day to go apparently because there wasn't anybody in the store - but it started to pick up throughout my visit. They take walk-ins, but from what I gather the bulk of their clients make appointments. In the short time I was there, many appointments were taken over the phone. The facility was very clean, the staff was very nice, and my favorite part was their assortment of colors. I've been to many nail salons around the city - and hands-down Pretty Nails has the biggest color selection I've seen. I get a dip powder manicure and they had (what seemed like) a hundred different colors to choose from. It was awesome. My technician double checked my color choice more than once to make sure she had it right - which I appreciated. I felt like she was very thorough and I was out of there in under an hour. The only draw back is that the prices are a bit higher when compared to other salons. My dip powder manicure was $5-$10 more expensive - but if the service is consistently as good as it was my first time, I don't mind paying a bit more. Walked in without appointment around 2pm middle of week. Got me right on. Got pedicure and nails (dipped). Did a fantastic job on both. Was in and out in about an hour and 15 min. They were a bit pricey ($90) but am very pleased with result. read more

Some of the workers are very unprofessional and money hungry. They were not worried about my level of satisfaction the least bit, only the money they could get me for. They told me 3 different prices for the same service and ended up over charging me. When I asked them if they could compensated for over charging me, they denied it. That was my first time there and it will be the last for certain. Terrible service read more

So - this place is actually fine at nails. My complaint is that they should remove the advertisement of "walk ins welcome." I can assure you walk ins are not welcome. Due to my schedule, it's hard to set a time to get my nails done so I rely upon the flexibility of being a "walk in." I have tried various days and various times of day to no avail... the walk in is turned away and told to make an appointment. I've seen it happen many times to others as well. Just advertise "By appointment only" and the walk ins will stop wasting our time and yours. Happy that you remain busy but not happy to have wasted my time attempting to be a walk in. read more

They raised their prices and I have never paid that much for powders!! Will NOT go back! No one charges over $60 plus dollars for powder. They charge u for every small add ons! Get their price sheet and ask questions BEFORE u sit down in the chairs. U will be shocked!! read more

Terrible service they do not sterilize anything then do a half ass job opening up ways to set you up for fungus infection. I went to school for nails I just don't do it for a job by choice however it's only about your money with them they don't give 2 fuks about you or what you get. I called and the ladies were so sweet and accommodating. She squeezed me in and told me that I could have an appointment- I arrived to the salon 20 minutes after calling and only waited 20 more minutes to be seated(which is awesome considering i made my appointment no more than an hour before this!!!) The man who took care of me went above and beyond what i'm used to here in Ky. He didn't make me bleed like the lady at the last salon i visited did. I do not pamper myself too often but this salon is the best. I look forward to my visits & find them to be best salon I have ever been to.

Work is needed on customer service. My usual technician was unavailable and I was fine with someone else taking her place. I go to KeKe for excellent customer service and not having to worry about if someone is talking about you in another language. KeKe also doesn't rush as if she's in a hurry to get you out of her chair. The lady that took her place did a good job up until the end. She finished my nails and I politely asked if I could have some oil. She was going to let me walk out with dusty nails. She basically took a paint brush and gooped it over my cuticles (a lot) KeKe normally puts a small amount and rubs it, which I assumed was part of the treatment. Im not lazy but she looked at me afterwards so I said I guess I have to do it myself. Please work on your customer service. Note to self, make an appointment with my regular tech from now on and never assume that all techs provide the same service. read more
