If Tabitha Coffey had sent me as a secret shopper she would have been beside herself. My fiancé purchased a nice spa package gift card for me from Anthony's. 1 spa pedicure and 1 spa manicure and a 25 min massage. I arrived 5 minutes early and the entrance is very confusing. When you walk in its loud and there are hair stylists running around to your right. You have to walk across twenty feet of products and a lot of chairs before someone will acknowledge you or offer an answers for where to go. Tiffany greeted me- she was the only good thing about this experience she was kind and helpful. I said I had an apt at 330 and she led me through a maze of the building back into a relaxation room. This room was very dark had two couches and she told me to wait there for Hannah. So I sit down and for the first ten minutes I just wait for Hannah to come find me. For the second twenty minutes I sat back there I became more and more convinced I wouldn't be helped anytime soon. At one point someone who I assume to be a staff member saw me there and just walked in and left. Then I noticed all the cups on the table in front of me and realized I was sitting in their break room. Very awkward. So at 30 minutes waiting I'm completely annoyed I've wasted time away from my family and no one even checks in to say Hannah is almost done blah blah. So I walk back to the front desk and they have this way of - oh wow you're still here and not being helped hmmm- so I say look I've been waiting for 30 minutes I'm not going to wait any longer when clearly there is no end in sight and hopefully if I leave the next person won't have to wait for 30 minutes or more for services. I was able to have the gift card refunded because quite frankly the thought of going back was beyond my tolerance and to support them by just letting the gift card go is too Much. Very very disappointing experience. Communication is key and keeping track of timely services are crucial. Increase the time of appointments so you don't fall so far behind because that's unacceptable. Especially on a Saturday you should have more people working to fulfill the need. The relaxation room felt dirty and creepy and if I had turned on the overhead light I'm sure dirt and grime would be there. read more

I purchased this Groupon for $70.00 partial highlights and hair style. First the stylist Leighton was running 30 minutes late for my appointment which is very unprofessional. I told her I what I was looking for in the color and cut. She said I had to pay an additional $20.00 for the toner which should be included in the Groupon. The whole time this 21-year-old hair stylist talked about herself and how she was better then her other coworkers because she was the assistant to the owner's daughter and that there was only one other person a man stylist that was good and all the other stylist are not good. She also made fun of the owner and that he is still cutting hair at his age and that he had shaky hands. This really showed her age and immaturity. Anyway, the color was ok nothing great and the cut she gave me was really a basic trim. One day later I washed my hair before going to bed and work up with blonde, pink, and orange highlights. I had to go to work looking horrible and all my coworkers said I really needed to go show them which I did. I spoke to the receptionist/manager Sydney who told me Anthony's wants all their customers to be happy with their service and she made me another appointment with Leighton (I would have preferred someone else) for two days later. Again, Leighton was late 23 minutes. She sat me down looked at my hair and started to name off everything she would have to do to fix it. She then excused herself and the manager/receptionist came up and told me they would not fix my hair because Leighton told her it was my shampoo Matrix Biolage. That's total BS! Biolage has been around forever. Leighton, I figured didn't want to spend time that night at 6 pm fixing my hair for free since she only gets half of the Groupon deal. This girl has a lot of growing up to do and learn how to talk to clients and not run away and send over someone else. Along with learning the proper techniques of hair coloring. I have been to Anthony's for massages and facials but because how I was treated by Sydney and Leighton I will never return. Waste of $120.00 between Groupon, toner, and tip. read more

This was my very first time getting a facial. Hannah made me feel very comfortable. But at the same time it was still weird. The place is a very weird design. You do walk in and if you've never been there before you don't know where you're going. If I hadn't read Meg H's review I wouldn't have known that I have to walk across the "waiting room" to get to the front desk. They do sit you in a dark room while you wait. It is also their break room which is weird because I did get to hear the lady crunch her chips. Not only is that weird but it'd be weird to eat my lunch in the dark like they all do apparently. I had a gift certificate that's how I got there. It was a good first facial but I know what I want for the next time I ever get one. I want to know what is going on my face so I'll probably find a place that has a list of ingredients that I can look up and not wonder what they are. I also just felt like I was being pet. this place was my worse nightmare- went there with long beautiful healthy smooth straight hair and walked out with damaged hair, burn scalp and tangled hair (half of my hair) like a hard ball and orange dish highlight instead of ash platinum. I walked out of there CRYING, I could not believe it . I went home my family could not believe this happened to my hair at a hair salon, they wanted to call a police and make a report because a licensed salon and hairdresser should not do something like this to a customer's hair. So, I was definitely skeptical about this place after reading all the reviews BUT I'm so glad I decided to go anyways (as I always do). Everyone was very nice and professional. I bought a Groupon and was horrified about coming here with a Groupon after reading some reviews regarding the Groupon's BUT I asked questions as soon as I got there & They attended me right away. Marvelous experience the place is large and I was impressed with the vast variety of retail . It's one stop shopping for my hair products and my facial needs . Vicki and Cedrica have done my hair and I get stopped all the time because of the unique color . I have enjoyed my facial with Sarita she's beyond amazing and my skin looks and feels yummy ! I'm addicted . The front end staff is knowledgable and they are armed with info about all the best products . I read a few reviews but it's all about the experience and I was impressed . Nope! I try not to leave bad reviews but I just had to share for others sake. I Will not be returning to this establishment - I purchased a Groupon for a massage and facial to try this place out thinking it would be a nice way to relax while my husband was out of town and when I went to checkout the front desk lady informed me that because I was pregnant the Groupon did not apply and proceeded to charge me the full amount ON TOP OF the amount I had already paid for their Groupon (not even a discount for the amount of my Groupon). It would have been nice of her to mention this beforehand so I could have declined services and gave my Groupon to someone who would be able to use it. Also she did not return my unused Groupon that I paid for - I definitely felt ripped ofd and will not be returning to this salon anytime soon. Very disappointing! read more

If you haven't been to Anthony's, DON'T GO! I have been to Anthony's 6 times in the past 2 years. Get a different stylists each time because anyone with talent leaves even Anthony. This last time I got a really bad cut. Went back and got a refund. Was told the kid was really sorry but didn't know how to cut my type of hair. She's been cutting barely a year. Why pay salon prices when the stylists are inexperienced kids just out of school. read more

I have had three great stylists in my life time. One I left because she moved to the beach. I thought it would be easy to find a replacement for her because I was young and had great hair back then. Wrong! It took me years to find the next one. Unfortunately, she retired and moved out of state. Several years and several bad haircuts later, I was referred by my aunt to Chelsea. Now in my fifties, I have coarse, gray, thin, color treated hair (I do it myself because I'm cheap like that), but Chelsea makes it possible to feel good about my hair again because she was able to communicate to me that the cut I thought wouldn't work for me actually would make my hair look thicker! read more

Love this salon! I have been a client of theirs for some time now. I used to go visit them in San Marco if that tells you anything! They are always very polite and professional always on schedule. If they say ok your experience will be 2 hours today...2 hours later I'm massaged, manicured, trimmed, and polished out the door. Nail services are amazing I work with my hands so very needed! Massages very relaxing and always focused on what you need and are wanting to achieve. Hair stylists awesome and amazing. And my favorite treatment facials...Hannah is amaze balls!! She is sweet and highly knowledgeable in her craft! I have even had the pleasure to have my hair cut by Anthony before. This is still my fave spa/get away for the day and highly recommend you try...you'll love it here too! read more
