Very good pizza and unusually good service by young servers. For a beer person, the choices are disappointing. Peroni is the only Italian draft, and it might as well be Budweiser, another corn-heavy beer. An American "hazy" IPA , usually a good alternative to over-hopped American IPA's as they're smoother-tasting and more food-friendly, was extremely piney; just another typical USA IPA. Ordered take-out. Yes, folks still drive to pickup dinner orders. Restaurant was crowded with folks waiting for tables. A good sign for someone like me who never ate there before. Pizza was delicious! Ordered a large white pizza and added toppings. Added a large Caesar salad and the two of us enjoyed the meals. Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 was the price. Idk what happened to this place but it used to be busy all the time. It was a hot spot for lots of regulars and locals as well as travelers due to the hotel in the same parking lot. The bartenders were great and had followers because of it. Seems all the good bartenders left and so did the following. What you deal with now is less than motivated staff. Bar tops that haven't been wiped for the whole shift. Empty drinks while they play on their phone right in front of the patrons. Not sure what new owners or management were thinking or why it all changed but it's sad. Excellent service. Ambiance was decent for outside seating. I'm sure some people love the food. What we ate wasn't very good. We order wings and 2 pizzas. Garlic Wings had great flavor but they were very dry on the inside. The cheese pizza was not good. The dough was soft and chewy which is surprising coming from a coal oven. What lured me in was the free app of their original ones - this is for first timers like us. My daughter had pasta fagioli and garlic knots. I never saw such beautiful knots - actually shaped more like biscuits. My gir loved them (only ate 2). I had 5 original wings and five hot honey. Meaty and absolutely delicious! (I licked the sauce off the plate with my finger!) I saved two (one of each) for my son, but didn't want to! He is the king of wing! Maria was so bubbly, sweet and helpful. Came here on a Tuesday night around 6pm and it was busy! Luckily, we were able to get a table for 2 right away. The ambiance is cozy with TVs and cool pictures all over the walls. We could see the wood fired grill and feel it's warmth from our seat which was lovely. Our server came over promptly and answered our questions about potential allergens. She wasn't annoyed and thoroughly checked to make sure we were in the clear, which we very much appreciated. We ordered the garlic knots, pasta fagioli, and large hot honey pizza. Excellent place. The pizza here is consistently excellent, as is the service. I also like that there are a few tables outside, and about 5 seats outside at the bar. The inside dining room is nice and comfortable and the front windows at the bar fold away so you get good air in nice weather when sitting at the bar. Although Anthony's is a chain, the pizza does not seem like that at all. Excellent fresh crust, excellent quality sauce and tomatoes and a good amount of cheese. Very tasty! Stayed at a hotel close to here and decided to walk across the parking lot in this windy cold disrespectful weather. I was going to sit at the bar but it was packed. I can see why-they have some great happy hour specials. Ended up getting the wings and the chopped salad. Both were delicious! I must make this chopped salad when I get back home. So fresh and good. The wings were also good and fresh and you could tell they weren't frozen. The ranch and blue cheese were just ok but honestly the wings didn't need any. I would visit again if I'm in the area. Anthony's is owned and operated by Kuljeet Singh's Florida Burger Inc (per AI). Kuljeet owns 168 restaurants which include 37 Burger Kings. I cannot EVER recommend a corporate-owned pizza chain as it's one of the few bastions left of the American dream. It's not authentic! For coal fired pizza, I would recommend Bricco a bit further south. Anthony's was loaded with butter and very doughy with mild browning on the crust. It was almost like a Domino's style crust. Bricco's pies have a really solid thin crisp with an undercarriage synonymous with coal fired pizza. read more

We have dined here many times over the last year or so. Tonight the whole place smelled like dirty rags. The floors were filthy and we got there at the start of the dinner rush. To top it off there was no soap on the men's room. We had to ask twice before someone refilled it and many men came and went from that bathroom. the food was tasty and the plates were clean. They need to up their cleaning game though or we will not keep coming back. It's hard to eat enjoy your food with that smell. Chick-fil-A is cleaner! read more

Anthony's is frequently mentioned in our neighborhood group whenever people ask where to find the best pizza, especially NY-style pizza, so we decided to check it out! For those in a hurry, let's just say that this pizza easily stands up to the best NYC has to offer. And for us it's a lot closer! We ordered both a Caesar and an Italian salad along with their basic tomato and cheese pie. One thing nice about a 900°F coal-fired oven is that you don't have to wait long and sure enough, a beautifully baked pizza was presented to us in around eight minutes. The crust was wonderfully thin and crispy, with an almost a pastry-like flakiness to it, making it a perfect base for the thick plum tomatoes and flavorful cheese. Very subtle but absolutely divine and a far cry from what passes as pizza at most places. Really excellent. The Caesar salad was banal; the few crispy croutons festooned upon it were tiny oases of flavor in vast desert of blandly dressed romaine that seemingly no amount of extra parmesan could rescue. My wife was delighted with her Italian salad though. Our server Caitlin was polite, attentive and personable--and a veritable font of information about Anthony's and their food. Probably one of the pizzas I have had in a very long time!! The crust was surprisingly thin and crispy with some chew. The Paulie's pie with huge toppings with the roasted hot peppers were amazing! Definitely need to try some of their other specialties including the pasta. read more

This place is in the parking lot of my business travel hotel. I was pleasantly impressed with the level of joy happening in here! I arrived at 5:30 and the bar seating was full and remained so till I left at 7ish. I got seated solo at a 4top and watched this place fill up and give off great vibes. I ate 5 dry rub wings with some blue cheese. Wings were big and tasty. I had the 12" Pepperoni and hot honey pizza and could only eat half of it. I drank 1 Negroni, 1 hot honey marg. Thumbs up on all food and drinks. The highlight was the pizza! Super yummy and now feel like I need hot honey on all my pizza. The service was great and this place obviously trains staff. A few weeks ago while a group of us were discussing our favorite pizzerias someone brought up Anthony's. We were in the area and figured we'd give it a shot on our way back of running some errands. We ended up running a little late and didn't get back to Anthony's until 8:30, 30 minutes prior to closing. We had asked if it was too late to do take out and were informed we could eat in as long as we ordered 9 pm (closing time) we'd be okay. It's a shame it's in the current building because you'd never know it was there from the road while driving by on Route 38 as you only see the back of the building. The front of the building is really nice especially when the weather is nice. They have outdoor seating and the bar is partially outside with more seating inside the restaurant. I liked the decor on the walls, lots of photographs and plenty of TVs. In our discussions when Anthony's was brought up, the pie specifically mentioned was the Hot Honey pie so that's what we went with. We also ordered a Cosmo. They do have a happy hour that runs 3-6:30pm (I think) on weekdays which has some decent drink deals. Our Cosmo was $10 and was delicious! The martini glass was big and it filled the entire glass. The pizza came out looking great as well and the crust was done just how I liked it. The ingredients are definitely fresh and the cheese seemed of good quality. The flavor was great between the honey drizzled on top and the thick cut pepperoni. They complemented each other very well. My only thing I wasn't crazy about is the bottom of the pie never really crisped up as there was lots of flop and I didn't get a good crunch with every bite until I got to the outer crust. Maybe that had to do with the specific pizza and toppings we chose, but the flavor was so good I'll definitely be back to try a more traditional pie. Definitely glad I finally stopped in to try Anthony's. They were accommodating. The employees that helped us were nice. Our Cosmo was reasonably priced. The rest of the menu looked good so maybe at my next visit I'll try something else as well. read more

The place was packed for dinner on a Wed night (for good reason!), and the 30-45 minute wait extended to almost an hour, but it was worth the wait (& I was able to monitor my place in line on Open Table). My server, Jeff, was excellent. Quick, professional, knowledgeable, engaging, and generous! I started w/ some incredible lemon pepper grilled wings while I waited for the pizza. The craft IPA selection on draft hit the spot. I couldn't decide so did a half/half pizza of Carnivori & Paulie's. I loved the hot peppers on the Paulie, but preferred the Carnivori - probably because I didn't love the ricotta cheese on the Paulie's. I recommend Carnivori + hot peppers.
