If I could give zero stars, I would. After an entire summer of excuses, no-shows, and "work" that looked worse than before they started, Anthony's Lawn Care still managed to botch the final job. I have photos of every step of the disaster. The labor was sloppy, rushed, and nowhere near professional, and the owner's responses were defensive, dismissive, and downright scammy. I contacted Anthony's in early January to clean up oak leaves and decorative grasses in part of our yard and haul them away. Update 4/23/2025: Anthony reached out, acknowledged the issues, and offered a 60% refund on the project, which at least puts me in a position to fix the problem. ----------------------- They charged $2000 to remove gravel, add soil, seed and straw in front of house and a small area in the back yard. The job they did in the back was fine--ample soil, seed and straw evenly distributed. The job in the front looked poor from the start--soil was uneven, bumps, quality of the soil was different. Unsurprisingly, grass came in fine in the back but not in the front. Even after two seasons of watering, weed & feed, and additional seeding, the front looks terrible. My plan this season was to aerate, add more soil and seed. As I started to aerate, discovered there was a half an inch of soil. Originally, I had no intention of contacting Anthony's to complain, but seeing a half an inch of soil prompted me to do so. A week after leaving a message, I got a call from the "boss", Matthew, who was extremely rude from the start. He said I should have called a year ago if I wasn't happy with the job, and that I was contradicting myself ("trying to have it both ways") by saying they did a good job in the back yard but not in the front. Poor job and rude customer service. Will never use this company again. read more

Update 10/17/24: The situation with the privacy fence repair and the hickory trunk have been resolved to my satisfaction. *************************** I had a horrible experience with Anthony's. Little/no communication unless I contacted them several times in a row. Showing up hours late with the wrong equipment. Showing up on a day when they weren't scheduled to be here. Finally getting here with the correct equipment, but causing damage to my property. "Repairing" the damage in a cheap, unprofessional way. Leaving a tree trunk in an area I'd specifically asked them to clear. And finally, promising to return to remove the tree trunk and repair the damaged privacy fence but disappearing after that. Stay away from these guys! read more

Anthonys crew did an outstanding job for us. They worked with us to blow our own leaves and scheduled the pickup when we were done with the job to get all the leaves for the year. They were on time, friendly and very efficient doing the job quickly and safely. They left our property cleaner than it was when we started and were very fair with the pricing. Anthony came the day after I called for a small job (3 semi-detached tree limbs). Estimate was lower than expected, and I was given a discount on top of that. Two super competent and polite arborists came several days later and took down the limbs, and a few days after that, the clean up crew hauled away not only the branches, but a lot of branch clippings I had done myself.
