One of my favorite restaurants we tried in Milan! They start you off with a complimentary glass of champagne. They were generous with the truffle on the risotto, which I loved. The meatballs in the gnocchi dish had great flavor. Loved the presentation of the oysters with dry ice. Portion sizes were large and we were too full for dessert by the end but the dessert tray they came around with looked amazing! Fantastic dining experience! I started with the clam au gratin and a couple of oysters. The presentation for the oysters was fun. For my primi piatti, I had the daily special: risotto with lobster, which was absolutely amazing and the standout dish of the night. For my main, I went with the ribeye, which was also excellent. One thing to note, they don't serve cocktails, only beer and wine, but that wasn't an issue for me. The service was excellent, with friendly and inviting waitstaff and hostesses. The atmosphere was beautifully decorated, refined yet not ostentatious. I'd definitely go again! read more

I think this is one of the best restaurants we got to adventure into during our three day visit in Milan. The restaurant is beautiful. The service is great. And the food is superb. We had Max as our waiter. He went above and beyond. We had three items for our meal: mix fried seafood appetizer, caprese salad, and a pasta with bolognese sauce. The fried seafood was very good and plentiful. The caprese salad was awesome. The tomatoes were so fresh. Both tomatoes and mozzarella were sliced thick and tasted wonderful. The pasta was flavorful. It wasn't overly salty as you may find in some places. The sauce had its unique taste. I know they gave us plenty, as i had shared with Max that we were sharing the dish. We each had more than enough to eat. Let me add that in the beginning a complimentary bruschetta dish is provided that is very good and in the end a mix of cookies were given to us - yum! I highly recommend this restaurant as it is definitely superb and welcoming as I return to a country i have lived in previously and truly enjoy their food. read more

There were large groups coming in and it seemed like a small restaurant but if you go down the stairs, there is plenty of tables for more people. The staff is outstanding. Our hotel concierge recommended this place because they had gluten free options (we had one person with celiac). We were just a short walk away and called 10 minutes before to see if we could come in. They seated us right when we got there and the ambiance was gorgeous. The staff was all super friendly and each greeted us as we walked through to our seats. They gave us a glass of champagne to start and offered suggestions for our meals. Our waiter was Giuseppe who was the kindest and funniest waiter (really great with kids). We would come back just for him! Overall, lovely night and delicious food. A pretty fantastic restaurant. A decent walk from the duomo area, but well worth the journey. Ordered a bottle of wine, scallops, and their special risotto for the day. Service was great and very accommodating for us that didn't speak Italian. Brought out a bruschetta amuse bouche first with a fresh tomato salsa, croutons, fancy oil and pepper. Scallops were a decent amount over cooked, but not really sure what they were going for. Also dry pistachio crumb on a generally dry seafood item with limited fat added made the entire thing even more dry and taste even more over cooked. Risotto topped with a type of ricotta or mascarpone foam. Which when you mixed with the risotto made it extra creamy and delicious. Risotto was cooked perfectly. Still had a good bite and had fantastic flavor from a little bit of truffle and shaved bresola. Brought out breads with a small batch pressed olive oil then desserts. Desserts we fantastic. Had this out on a sunny day in Milan Went with the set menu - Sea bass, lemon sobert dessert and an appetizer involving a mix of chowmein - added a black risotto and lobster spaghetti The impact on the food was decently delicious with high flavors in the sea bass. The dessert ended up being a lemon sobert that was higher on the melted side but its okay it was still pretty good if you're in the mood for a drinking dessert vibe. Would I come back? Our hotel suggested this restaurant. We were late for lunch and early for dinner so the place wasn't crowded. The service was excellent but the food was what wowed us. I had the spaghetti with lobster and I think it was the best pasta dish I've ever tasted. I also had an Aperol Spritz that was served in a glass that was as large as a goldfish bowl. We ate in this phony tourist trap several days ago. The food was mediocre the service impersonal and rushed and the veal Milanese half un cooked with a load of fat at one end. The crab meat pasta was just barely ok beyond the oil and salt and the fried veggies were tasteless and greasy. The wine that I let the server recommend was too young and too tight without a finish or mouth feel. It was a medium priced bottle, because he told us that there was no vino de casa by the glass as we preferred and he said this was great. It was not even good. The meal began with a complimentary glass of prosecco which was pretty good, but was removed from the table withhout asking if we were finished as was done with the first course of veggies that we finished 2/3 and had intended to keep to eat with the veal dish as the veal had no sides. At the end of the meal the waiter treated me like I was some dumb yokel that had never been in Europe before and pressured and embarrassed me into a tip because according to him, the tip is not included in Italy (well-known) and that the coperto only covers the bread, (never heard that before in more that 140 seatings at restaurants in Italy over the past years) Don't bother with this joint. This was the worst food service and ambiance in our latest two week visit to Italy. Note: I understand that the restaurant has received many 5 star ratings in their listing and I do not want to sound like the complaining crank on the page however I have almost never given such a terrible review on yelp and in fact I would suggest that most of my reveiws are 4-5 stars. This place was horrible and perhaps something changed or this was a bad night or they just hired the pushy jerk that served us, but I would never chance this place again. read more

Stumbled upon this restaurant as I was starving and most in the area were closed until 7. I was greeted by a very friendly waiter with a "welcome" glass of prosecco and a delicious bruschetta (both on the house)! I took his suggestion of the prawn and porcini mushroom pasta, and it was absolutely AMAZING. The sauce was incredibly flavorful with the prawns, mushrooms, and pasta perfectly cooked. It was so good I wanted to order another dish, but the pasta was too filling! Do beware that they charge a 3.50 euro service charge, and 3 euros for water (as is standard in Europe). My wife and I had dinner here. The place is tastefully decorated with wall murals and artistically arranged fresh fruits and vegetables. We ordered the Osso Bucco, sea bass and egg noodles with prawns. All of them were extremely delicious. Maybe I was too hungry that night after more than 10 hours of flight time from the USA. The food here tasted like the best Italian food I have tasted among Italian restaurants I visited in Rome, Venice, New York, etc. I will try to come back again and will try out the risotto with black squid ink! read more

I will say this place is a bit more formal than we expected (our stay was unexpectedly extended due to a cancelled flight) and we weren't surprised when we were seated in the back corner by the kitchen, ha. Everyone else around us was also a bit older clientele wise (we are younger 30s). This place is huge and there's a downstairs with what sounded like live music. Our waiter was super courteous but we felt pressured to order more courses when all we wanted was a main. Best meal we had in Italy!!! The restaurant was beautiful and what I thought a classic Italian restaurant would be. The staff is very nice and knowledgeable. They had great recommendations for wine, drinks, and dinner. Worth every penny. I got the spaghetti and lobster, the boyfriend got grilled lamp chops with roasted potatoes, and my brother got the veal cutlet. My parents also got the lobster special and the ragu with egg noodles. My husband and I went here during our last few hours in Milan during our Five-City European Honeymoon Tour. It was highly recommended by the staff at our hotel (and I'm sure they get some kind of kick back for that). We visited during the lunch hour and the restaurant was pretty empty. Our waiter was extremely friendly. We received complimentary sparkling wine as soon as we were seated. Since this was such a "fancy" restaurant (probably the most fancy place we would eat the whole trip), we decided to order several courses. This included Smoked Salmon to start, Spring Vegetable Risotto, and Steak with Grilled Vegetables. Of all the things we ate, the risotto was by far my favorite, although I'm a sucker for rice and pasta. It was rich, flavorful, and creamy with a dollop of cheese (mozzarella?) in the center. The steak was also very good and the accompanying vegetables were cooked perfectly. All of the vegetables were pulled right from the table (a small market, really) of produce behind us). Needless to say, it was A LOT of food. Even though we split all the courses, there was still a ton of food leftover. The waiter kept asking if we liked everything since we left so much food, but we just didn't have enough room in our stomachs! Even though we didn't need dessert, the waiter brought us biscotti and other treats. It was a really excellent meal. The hotel staff made a very good recommendation. read more

At first the restaurant looked packed on a Friday evening but we asked for a table anyway and they showed us into a massive room downstairs from where we could even hear some live music from the piano bar. The service was really nice but they did forget to give us the wine list together with the menu. We got some complementary prosecco as soon as we sat down and we didn't have to wait long for the waiter. We ordered the mama rosa selection of entrees and it was both massive and very good. The deep fried Aubergine sticks are to die for. Be careful of not over indulging before the main course. I had the the Ossobucco and it was good. The risotto with it was okey but not special. My girlfriend had pasta with seafood and she was not impressed. It was a bit flat and without taste. We ended up paying €80 for entrées, main courses a bottle of whine and grappa which is very reasonable. We did however have better meals at less fancy restaurant for less money during our trip. read more
