I was pleasantly surprised because it is a little oasis away from the pizza and pasta that fills the streets in Rome. Yes, it's Rome and what does one expect, I get it. Still, it was a nice little break. When you step in you are transported out of Rome and into an Irish pub. Music, decorations, etc are all what one might find in a corner bar that calls itself an Irish pub. No, it won't fool true Irish pub-goers, but it's a passable way to escape the Aperol and wine of most of Rome. The bartender was nice and she took our order and told us to grab a seat and she delivered the drinks. It was about 6pm and they weren't busy and since I didn't see any other servers, it was nice that she did that. Overall, a nice little change of pace. If you need a break from all Rome all the time, maybe consider popping in here for a pint.

The waiters and waitresses were superb and very attentive. I cannot express in words how great the food was. It was an experience! I still remember how great the appetizer was of fresh pasta in a pesto sauce. My favorite was the dessert of pistachio gelato with whipped cream and fruit.

My spouse had the fish and it was adequate, but nothing notable which is par for the course for large group meals.. The ambience outshined the food. I do not eat fish and was served a steak as my main dish. Unfortunately it was raw and I consumed one too many bits. I became violently ill and had to excuse myself as I lay on the bathroom floor recovering. Thankfully the stone was cool and helped my passing of the illness that flooded my being. If it wasn't for the food poisoning this would have been a top 10 night. The setting and ambience was stunning. If you consume the beef just tell be sure to hold the blood. Eeeek.
