Capri at sunset from our balcony.

What a wonderful hotel. On a hill overlooking Sorrento our room had a direct view of Capri. Magical. The family that owns and runs the hotel and their staff were wonderful. The food is so good we ate dinner there every night of our 5 night stay. The shellfish and especially the fresh fish were absolutely delicious and prepared using the freshest and best ingredients. This is definitely a place to visit again and again.

Having visited multiple places in Italy and Sicily the last time, this place stood out as one of the favorite spots on our trip. Of course we had to stop by again, and we were not disappointed. When in Sorrento, lemon pasta is a must, but I have the say that the true star was La Genovese pasta, which was recommended by our server. My husband still liked lemon pasta best, which means you really can't go wrong. Their bread was also delicious, particularly the white bread and the breadsticks, and they give you balsamic vinegar and olive oil for it. Considering most of the bread we had in Italy was surprisingly disappointing, it's exciting to eat somewhere that the food is good from start to finish. They also gave us one scoop of limoncello and one scoop of lemon gelato for dessert. Both were delicious, but my favorite was the lemon gelato. This is our second time back, and we would not hesitate to eat here again the next time we're in Sorrento. Servers were also friendly and helpful. The food does take a while, but that goes to show that it all is freshly made. This place is great whether it's for a casual dining experience or for date night. They also have free WiFi, just ask them for the info. I love that it's also a family establishment, and family members work at the restaurant. I'm already looking forward to my next visit here.

We started with the Fiori de zuccha ripieni and it was phenomenal. It was lightly fried with a slight crisp outer crust and the cheese was creamy. A delightful starter. We also had the Provola affumicata e salame calabro crostoni. The salame was spicy but delicious. The dough had amazing flavors of garlic and cheese. It was simply delightful. My husband had the sea bass in a lemon butter sauce with potato's. The potato's had a nice crisp on the outside. I had the special of the day, which was the ragu with sausage, meatballs and short ribs. The pasta was similar to a rigatoni but bigger. The sauce was delicious. Their house wine was a perfect touch to pair with our meal. We ended it with some limoncello. We were too full to eat any dessert. I'm sure it would have been delicious. After each course, they brought out clean silverware, which is a nice touch. I also noticed that a lot of restaurants throughout Italy plays American music but this restaurant played Italian music which was a nice touch.

My wife had a spicy dish & I had the clam pasta with brown butter sauce. We finished with the veal! Everything was perfect for our last night in Sorrento.
