My husband and I are staying just up the hillside from Angelo's and, after a day boating around Capri, stopped by for dinner on our way home. This is a casual, unpretentious, family-run joint that was, hands down, the best meal we've had in Italy. We started with the bruschette, classic with mozzarella. Incredible. It hit every note perfectly -- salty seasoning on the tomatoes, sweetness from the tomatoes, creaminess from the mozzarella, crunch from the toasted ciabatta, savoriness of the olive oil and basil. So simple, yet utter perfection. We split the spaghetti aglio e olio and a margherita pizza. Both were spectacular. The garlic was perfectly roasted and the pasta had just the right amount of heat from the chili pepper. Sauce on the pizza was heavenly. We ended with a lemon tiramisu -- cake was soaked in limoncello and custard was flavored with lemon. Out of this world. And on top of it all, Angelo himself was seated nearby, leading diners in a sing-along to some classic hits by Sinatra and Elvis. Incredible meal! read more

Angelo's... Angelo's... Angelo's. When I tell you this bar/restaurant is the best we had our time in Italy, I'm not kidding you in the slightest. Hands down the BEST, most wholesome food and people we had/met this whole trip. You will be immediately greeted with a warm smile and energy by any number of the staff who all speak fluent English. While you wait, you can look out over Marina Lobra, where there is a peace and quiet, watch as boars slowly come in and out of the port. Pizza, pasta, desert, morning coffee, it's all 6/5 stars. This place is truly special. There are some places and people that will just stick with you for how amazing the atmosphere (and food of course) is, and Angelo's is one of those places. I asked the waiter if we could ship frozen pizzas back home, she laughed, and quickly told us it's the quality of their ingredients that makes it so good. I do not doubt it at all. You can taste the difference. Highly recommend a sunset dinner if possible. Really really hope to be back again, grazie millè Angelo's!!! read more

Our family stayed in Massa Lubrense in an airbnb a couple mins from this place. The man who owns the airbnb, Vitorrio, recommended we eat here since he himself eats at Angelo's all the time! It's a small family owned and run restaurant that makes you feel apart of their family when you eat there! We loved this place so much we came back 3 times over the couple days we were staying there! The daughters were incredibly sweet and spoke very fluent English! Angelo himself even came over to say hi and talk to us about our vacation so far. So hospitable! All the food was homemade, made to order, and was SO GOOD! We had ordered their margarita pizza, spaghetti pomodorino, ravioli, lasagna, salad, and Matilde's sandwich. All plates were equally as good! The daughters even remembered what plates we ordered and liked from the night before! Overall, if anyone is ever staying in the area and want good food and good service, go to Angelo's! read more
