Wow!

Our favorite meal in Sorrento! This family run establishment goes back several generations and serves up creative and delicious meals. We were directed there by our son who discovered it a few years ago, and his favorite dish was the lemon Creme grilled shrimp, which we loved! The prices here were shockingly good, and the service was spectacular: our waiter had been there thirty years, and was so helpful and kind! The complimentary Limincello shot that finished the meal was great! Don't miss this restaurant when you visit Sorrento!

Pretty inside, conveniently located in the town center by the shops and great service at this open air restaurant. The meal was delicious and I would definitely go back. At the end they brought us limoncello which was nice too.

Fried calamari and shrimp

Definitely had a good dinner visiting ristorante fuoro for the first time. The fried calamari with shrimp was really well done and would eat that any day of the week. The lemon spaghetti was solid but the tiny little shrimps didn't compete with some of the other places around that also served this dish. Still very good and would eat again. The lobster pasta was a little lackluster as a "special" as you only get half the lobster, no claws and the spaghetti was pretty average. Overall i was still happy with the dinner but Id go back to Semola or L'antica trattoria for pasta before here. But still a solid choice if you don't have reservations

Had to make one more review of Ristorante Fuoro before we leave. We ate there one last time and it was better than the first. The chef's special spaghetti with lobster and it was delicious. Had a great Negroni and then Limone Ripieno for desert....it was fantastic. My wife had the sea bass and she loved hers as well. The best place we ate at in Sorrento! The service is phenomenal.

What an amazing hole in the wall restaurant. We were immediately sat up against the window and had an accordion player come entertain us. I got the beef filled ravioli and what a rich plate it was! It was a perfect intro to Italy

Fried and marinated anchovies

Definitely my number one in Sorrento so far! Food, service and ambience were excellent. The skin in the seabass was crunchy while the rest of the fish was tender, moist and flaky. The octopus appetizer was also good and tender. What made the seabass and octopus stand out was the potato puree that accompanied the dishes. The puree had a touch of citrus and mint that made it flavorful and unique to my taste. The anchovies also stood out because of the Neapolitan escarole, burrata, capers, olives that accompanied the dish.

My group found this place and I'm so glad they did. The clam pasta was one of our favorite dishes on the trip. They don't skimp out on portion size and prices were reasonable, especially compared to other touristy restaurants. The service was quick and friendly, and I would recommend stopping by!

The Genovese dish was awesome. Service was quick and attentive. Romantic ambience that embraced the Sorrento experience

Truly embraced the Sorrento experienced here with the Genovese dish and the romantic ambience

Gnocchi

Solid restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The gnocchi was very good with a rich red sauce. Parmigiano will be offered as you order it which will add a nice saltiness. The cannelloni is good but was served a little lukewarm. It needed to be hot. Prices are high for what you get but you're in Sorrento and paying for it. House wine starts at a surprising €5 per glass which is nice. You can probably get a similar meal at a better price elsewhere. That said, this is still good if you don't mind the pricing.

Excellent burrata on this Caprese salad!

My daughter found this restaurant during our recent Italy trip. The ambience was excellent, nice and cozy. The staff was very professional. I wanted to try a dish with lemons, since they were everywhere in Sorrento. The pasta with lemon cream sauce and shrimp really fit the bill. I usually don't go for cream sauces but this one was nicely balanced, the lemon flavor was just right. I also had an excellent local filet fish and a perfectly prepared stuffed squash blossoms appetizer. Definitely enjoyed dining at Ristorante Fuoro!

Smoked salmon and prosciutto and mozzarella

A hidden gem in Sorrento that exceeded my expectations. I tend to avoid restaurants that have someone standing out in the front trying to pull you in, but we were tired and hungry and the city was buzzing, so we took a chance. We were not disappointed, as we ended up having one of the best meals during our week in sorrento! I highly recommend trying the fresh smoked salmon as an appetizer, and the prosciutto was also PERFECT! Thin, buttery and fresh. For entrees, I had the gnocchi alla sorrentina, which was better than two other locations. My husband had the calamari and prawns, which were pretty good as well, but he regretted getting an entree that is all fried. Regardless, it was a light and crispy fry! The highlight was the beautiful lemon mousse dessert. We loved it so much that we ordered two additional to-go. Throughout our meal, our service was nice and prompt, even though they were busy. There is air conditioning here, so you can be sure you'll stay nice and cool, and the decor is very cute and quaint. Overall, I recommend Ristorante Fuoro for a nice meal in Olde Towne Sorrento.

Tiramisu, different with chocolate layers. So good!

We loved this place! Great atmosphere and amazing food - every dish we had was delicious! And good service too. Had zucchini flowers as an appetizer- they split our dish as a share. Sea bass with spinach and lemony mashed potatoes - delicious. And ravioli fruiti de mare with the most flavorful broth. Reasonably priced as well. Recommend a visit!

Was looking forward to this dinner because of all the good reviews but I'm not quite sure as I felt…read morethe food missed the mark and didn't compare to some of the other Italian food I had this trip. I made a reservation on Google but when I showed up, they didn't have our reservation, apparently they rejected the reservation which is crazy because I'm so used to just making the reservation online and it's automatically confirmed whereas this place indeed sent me a rejection email earlier in the day saying they couldn't confirm the reservation - not something I've ever experienced before since I always just assumed when you make the reservation on Google, it's already confirmed automatically but I will definitely pay closer attention to my emails in the future. Luckily they were able to fit us in but said we had to be done eating in an hour which was fine with me as we weren't trying to have a long dinner. I got the mixed seafood grill and most of it was dry and slightly overcooked, not much flavor. The grilled vegetables were just the cold appetizer grilled vegetables. The homemade pasta with sausage was alright but not amazing. The ambiance was a nice family restaurant with live music. Kind of tucked away down a side street in Sorrento, but close to our hotel. Our waiter was really friendly and funny, that's the only reason I'm giving this four stars as the overall meal was probably closer to 3 or 3.5.

We popped in after a long train ride. We ate inside, and enjoyed reading the reviews graffitied all…read moreover the walls. The food was incredible. To start, we had burrata, bruschetta and mixed salad. All were good. The salad was fresh and crunchy (with lettuce, fennel, radicchio, carrot in a light vinaigrette). The sun-dried tomato bruschetta was delicious (with soft cheese, drizzled with honey). The burrata was also amazing (tomatoes tossed in police oil and salt, surrounding a fresh creamy burrata). We had pastas (gnocchi and ravioli fungi) and chicken. I had the ravioli, which was delicate and scrumptious. Everyone enjoyed their meals, though the chicken was very simple. Finally the service! We were greeted with warmth and the service right through was perfect. Thank you!

Every bite was AMAZING. The servers and staff that we came in contact with were wonderful and attentive. The place itself is nicely decorated, and has a very clean bathroom. I like how staff stays by the door to welcome people in, but they don't badger people on the sidewalk to come in like other places. We're thinking of going back even though we only have a night or two left in Sorrento, it was just that good!
