Elegant atmosphere--ambiance and service. Excellent food and wine list
Ivan B.

Italian restaurant with elegant ambience, excellent service, and exceptional food quality. Offers a thoughtfully curated wine list to complement every dish.

Sara G.

Beautiful seafood on the water and kind service. Really enjoyed the gamberetti sala (suck the sweet heads), the scialatta scoglio with seafood, and the delizia limone for dessert. The caprese was a miss with anemic tomatoes and the uni spaghetti didn't have much uni flavor. The wine list is extensive and I recommend asking for a local well priced rose. Be aware that the hike down to the Marina Grande (and back up) would be challenging for some, and requires decent footwear.

The view from our table!

My family stayed in Sorrento during our recent Italian vacation. Pretty much everyone recommended Bagni Delfino. They were all absolutely correct. It was my wife and I's wedding anniversary, while going out to dinner with our teen daughters isn't the most romantic, the vibe at Delfino made up for it. Open to the Mediterranean Sea, our table was outstanding! Gorgeous views of the sea, Vesuvius, and the surrounding area. The wait staff was knowledgeable and professional. Most importantly, the food is outstanding! Elegantly arranged Caprese salad was full of flavor. Freshly made pasta with loads of shellfish was sublime. The mixed seafood platter was an array of perfectly cooked local seafood. Bagni Delfino was one of the top restaurants we ate at in Italy!

Great food and service, very romantic location during sunset. Not cheap, but worth money spent. Portions just right size.

Chocolate caprese cake with vanilla gelato. Delicious!

Stunning ambience with scenic outdoor seating. We started with calamari which was fresh and delicious but portions were considerably small. For our main courses my husband had the grilled sea bass which was filleted table side and was absolutely delicious! I had sea bass with Roma tomatoes, black rice and mashed potatoes. The tomatoes were overpowering the delicate fish, the black rice was lukewarm sand the potatoes were just ok. I also had the chocolate caprese cake with almonds and a side of icecream which was delicious! Service was courteous and efficient. Overall, I would go back but would order something different.

The food was delicious . Service was good but not outstanding as we had expected, not as attentive as we expected. The atmosphere was the best. So romantic right on the water . A bit away from the other places .

This is a Yelp! Recommended restaurant on the waterfront of Sorrento. And it did not disappoint. A romantic setting, exquisite service and delicious food. And for the quality of the experience, reasonably priced. My frutti del mare was superb. Lightly sauced pasta covered with shrimp, clams and muscles. You L probably need a taxi to find it, but it's worth the trip.

This was recommended by a worker at our hotel and it was the best place in Sorrento where we ate, maybe even in Italy. They provided free bruschetta which was outstanding, the tomatoes were so fresh. We got the seafood pasta and the sea bass and they were so delicious. Best seafood pasta and seafood dishes we've had, it was all so fresh. The lemon dessert was incredible. Definitely recommend and might even go again while we are here.

Seafood risotto and scialatielli pasta with seafood
Angela D.

We are lunch here on our first full day in Sorrento which happened to be the only day it rained. We were able to sit by a window looking out onto the water and enjoyed the beautiful view. Food was amazing! I had the seafood risotto and my husband had the scialatielli pasta with seafood. The fried calamari we started with was also very tasty. I found this place based on google searches for best restaurants in Sorrento, and locals also recommended the place along with the others in Marina Grande. The prices here were not cheap, but worth the trip. We came in for lunch right when they opened and were able to seat us with no reservations.

The views from the restaurant were incredible. The food was pretty good but you're mainly paying for the view and service

This is an overpriced and overhyped place with average tourist food and ridiculous prices. So many better places to go

Not only was it a wonderful surprise to end up dining right by the water, but even with a line out front, we somehow got incredibly lucky and were seated on the patio completely by chance. I noticed what looked like the owner (or perhaps the general manager) walking around, checking on guests, and helping with service, which added such a warm, authentic touch. Like many restaurants by the water in Italy, the seafood here is incredibly fresh ~ and this place is no exception. We ordered the seafood platter, grilled vegetables, and ravioli with marinara sauce. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious, right down to the bread. We also enjoyed some Prosecco, which paired perfectly with the meal. The view was stunning, and the whole restaurant buzzed with lively, happy energy. I would definitely return ~ not only because it was surprisingly affordable, but also because restaurants like this, with their true authenticity and old-world charm, are my favorite. One small note: the bathroom is on the second floor, so if you're older or have mobility issues, just keep in mind there's a set of stairs to climb. But that's very common across Western Europe. Fun fact: This beautiful little spot in Marina Grande has some real cinematic history. Sofia Loren and Vittorio De Sica, while in Sorrento filming Dino Risi's famous 1954 movie "Pane, amore e..." (Bread, Love, and...), actually sat at the tables of Trattoria Emilia. How amazing is that?

Having visited multiple places in Italy and Sicily the last time, this place stood out as one of the favorite spots on our trip. Of course we had to stop by again, and we were not disappointed. When in Sorrento, lemon pasta is a must, but I have the say that the true star was La Genovese pasta, which was recommended by our server. My husband still liked lemon pasta best, which means you really can't go wrong. Their bread was also delicious, particularly the white bread and the breadsticks, and they give you balsamic vinegar and olive oil for it. Considering most of the bread we had in Italy was surprisingly disappointing, it's exciting to eat somewhere that the food is good from start to finish. They also gave us one scoop of limoncello and one scoop of lemon gelato for dessert. Both were delicious, but my favorite was the lemon gelato. This is our second time back, and we would not hesitate to eat here again the next time we're in Sorrento. Servers were also friendly and helpful. The food does take a while, but that goes to show that it all is freshly made. This place is great whether it's for a casual dining experience or for date night. They also have free WiFi, just ask them for the info. I love that it's also a family establishment, and family members work at the restaurant. I'm already looking forward to my next visit here.
