I love the group workouts. I enjoy the motivation from Coach Marcy. Did I forget to mention the workouts are 30 minutes out of your day...

Poor management, poor membership practice, poor communication, poor business practice. BTW, by still refusing to put up the tennis court cover management has saved $80,000 and will save another $40,000 this winter. But they evidently can't afford the very inexpensive numbers to properly number the tennis courts. The tennis courts are the most poorly numbered courts in NorCal. Poor numbering causes inconvenience and confusion for the members, guests, USTA competitors and USTA officials. Management also refuses to buy proper modern inexpensive rainwater removal equipment. Even many public courts are more up to date than DH. The management decision to not allow outside players to participate in USTA teams is wrongheaded. This is poor for business, hard on captains and deprives members from regularly enjoying participating on competitive teams. Management does not properly support the excellent tennis director, coaches and players. The front desk, maintenance, cleaning staff and coaches are excellent.

My only suggestion would be a little more frequent housekeeping throughout the day, especially in the Black Card Spa on/around the beds, plus regular sanitizing rounds on the gym equipment. The team usually seems well staffed, so a few extra cleaning laps during slower moments would take this place from great to excellent. Restrooms are decent, parking is rarely a headache, and the clientele is generally respectful and well-behaved. Overall, it's a comfortable, easygoing gym without a lot of nonsense -- which is exactly what I want when I'm voluntarily suffering through my workout!

I've also seen other people wearing similar shoes, so I was honestly pretty surprised. What bothered me most was how it was handled. When I checked in, the employee who later kicked me out was just chatting with the manager and didn't say anything about my shoes. I got settled and started my workout, and only then was I told I had to leave. If there was an issue with my shoes, it could've easily been addressed when I first came in. I also don't understand why I wasn't just given a warning, especially since I've seen warnings given for things like this before for the bag policy. After going here for years, I expected better :/ Won't be going back. Glad I already canceled my membership, but it still sucks I didn't get to finish my last workout.

They send surveys, front desk calls to follow up to acknowledge but that's it. A couple months ago I even showed the front desk a cockroach in the women's sauna. I can say they are trying to keep it clean or at least trying now then when I first started but that's why I started to hate this place. Like no one cares that there's a huge hole in the wall or a leak down the weight room and now the weight room being unavailable. And the phone signal is non existent so you rely on their spotty wifi. Advice: when you have circumstances as such, bring in an extra smith or cable machine, buy new locker rooms mats, or more workers to freshen up the restrooms more frequently. You don't have these problems at other gyms that have management that care. Simple things like soap dispensers should have soap not days where you're checking which sink has hand soap. Last note: clean under the sauna bench. Try and do better because I can't wait to cancel my membership here.
