What caught my eye immediately was this one-of-a kind, metal form fitting mannequin on the sidewalk. After that, I dove right into Alley. I didn't hang around too long- but long enough to notice the nice service, front of the house with costume jewelry, cool knick-knacks on left. Said my goodbyes and left. Can't fault Antique Alley for their price tags. And obviously you're not going to get Salvation Army prices- up in swanky Cold Spring. I get it. PROS: i like the multi room set up that this place has. Each room gives you a different theme to what antiques they have. The people in these rooms are also very nice CONS: Most of the rooms had junk in it and the individual vendors have overpriced their merchandise. We loved venturing into all the wonderful and well curated stores. If you love deco like like we do, check out decologist. He has amazing pieces. We also purchased from Deb at Dilkara antiques all the way in the back with tons of lladro and more. Great prices and selection. If you love Bakelite, be sure to see the man on the right when you first walk in. We can't wait to go back. Great service with friendly people. read more

Compared to the rest of the shops and small boutique stores along Main Street this facility just seems out of place. Kind of a mishmosh of small shops thrown together into tiny rooms along a narrow corridor to walk through. Not much to really see here and some of the places in this alley weren't even open the afternoon we dropped by. The only people in here seemed to be the store owners with a few family and friends chatting with them. Wasn't impressed at all by the selection of goods offered here. We looked around and left within a few minutes. It's kind of sparse. Don't waste your time, especially when there is so much better shopping to be had while walking along the open air of Main Street. read more

I loved this selection of antique/vintage items. At the very front is a fantastic store with gorgeous 20th Century items from the twenties through the sixties. Lots of lovely table ware and decorations and there is also a beautiful range of Bakelite and other costume jewelry, reasonably price. Toward the back is a small shop specializing in Art Deco. We bought things at both places, furniture, jewelry, fabric, I wish I could have bought more! read more

This guy (Dennis) is my only coin dealer that sells great quality coins. If you pay upfront with cash in hand he gives out discounts because he knows that you are gennualy interested and doesn't pick favorites. He said he doesn't want to be rich and has such a great work ethic. He doesn't take advantage of the less informed. He told me that there was a guy that offered 2 grand for an ancient roman coin but Dennis told him it was only 75$ and apparently it wasn't expensive enough for him and didn't buy the coin. I went with my father and what we bought was slightly out of my budget so he rounded it down to 70$ giving us a 12% discount. Super nice coins and also does jewelry. You should go there if you're interested. It's A hallway and the shop the second to last door in the hallway to the right. He has a bunch of old coins and bills at the front you can't miss it. If you still can't find it ask any person who works there they will bring you there. read more

Tiny storefront that has divided antique shops inside. It's very small and cramped. Nothing really special in here and a few of them were closed when I visited. It's on Main St. The hallway is narrow and each shop in the alley has no specialty. It's a neat idea that has potential but the lack of quality and quantity pushes me away. Cold Spring is nice little town but it hasn't been the same in years in my opinion. read more

This neighborhood has several antique shops and none compare to this one. The layout is essentially a thin long corridor with several rooms on either side for potential stores. Some are empty which makes it that much creepier. Didn't even shop because the vibe was very off putting. read more

Inside this cute group of small shops is one called "Cold Spring Coins & Currency." I stood in the coin shop's open doorway for approximately ten seconds before the owner came up and commanded me to move out of his doorway. There is another open doorway into his store exactly one foot to the left, by the way. There was also zero traffic, nobody trying to get in or out. Absolutely NO reason for him to be so aggressive to a young lady like myself. He thought I was alone, though, and spoke to me in a very demeaning way. When my short, gay male friend remarked that that was a rude way of speaking to customers, the owner came out from behind his counter, chased my friend down the hall, and said he was going to "kick his ass." My boyfriend (6'3") came out from another store and had to step in front of the crazed man and tell him to calm down and go away. The man backed down at the thought of getting his old grumpy butt kicked and went back into his sad coin hole. What a horrible, sad experience. Wouldn't be surprised if this poor wretch treats all people who he perceives to be "less than" him this way. read more

My kids and I took the train North from Manhattan and explored Cold Spring last fall (super cute town, gorgeous views of the Husdon) We were thrilled to discover this intriguing group of shops. We love scoring vintage and one of a kind finds, and these quaint shops did NOT disappoint. Our favorite shop was the last shop down the hallway I believe called Heavenly Treasures. Incredibly reasonable prices for such unique finds! We were delighted to see & scoop some 1940's era vintage crystal jewelry in pristine condition (so inexpensive, these go for $100's in the markets in and around NYC area) some Heisey glass pieces (again, incredibly reasonably priced) vintage Sinatra vinyl, and a plethora of art books. Wow! The lady who was working there was probably the friendliest & kindest person ever (who was super sweet to my son who has severe autism) , and even gave us a all a free set of rosary beads & earrings.The visit made our weekend!
