I liked the selection however I saw no signs saying my id has to match my card I'm paying with??? this is the only place I've ever been to that's done this and I happened to be using my mothers card the day I went and they wouldn't sell to me. I think I can get why they would do this but nothing there is valuable enough for all this. I enjoyed it, but I don't know if id go back. read more

Cool stuff, the bigger girl with middle part and black hair and the older guy with glasses were working today and we didn't get greated or asked for assistance when we needed it multiple times? I asked my husband about a watch in the case and the employees just sat there staring off. No help at all. We got lost in time so we were too distracted to notice it was 5:00 but the man just started walking around turning lights off and a lady was trying to buy an expensive necklace and he said nope not unless it's already out of the case. Like really???? The girl rolled her eyes at 5:01 when my dad was trying to purchase something on the way out. An announcement would have been nice because normally people aren't looking at their phones in a place like this to know the time right? Idk. I hope those two aren't the owners seriously, if so, that's highly disappointing. read more

4.5 STARS. Open 9 AM till 5 PM seven days weekly, this antique mall was originally named "Murphysboro Antique Mall." In 1970, the new owners changed the name to its current name. The couple's daughter now owns this antique mall-- along w/ Antiques II, which is on the same property. Together, they share 70+ vendors. Definitely check out both buildings while here! The older gentleman @ the checkout counter was extremely friendly. This is a decent-sized, QUALITY antique mall. It is well-organized & clean. The antiques run the gambit of primitive to post mid-century modern, although there were limited primitives on our visit. This mall houses more war memorabilia & vintage signage than I usually see @ malls. There is a large room to the rear of the shoppe that houses furniture; it was not full to capacity & there were limited older pieces. However, the furniture was in very good condition, & as w/ all antique malls, the variety changes regularly. What I found most impressive were the numbers of gorgeous antique lamps & late 1890's Bride's Bowls. There were good prices on the former; however, the latter were priced a little high; you'd do better finding the silver bowl sets @ an online antique auction. Still beautiful to look at! I walked away w/ a mint condition 1940's antique brooch-- see pic. It was priced @ $44 after a 10% discount. (There's no typical 20% discount on items $25+ as there is in Florida antique stores; always request a 10% discount) The parking lot is large; the staff (although limited) was friendly; the mall was organized; & the antiques were of very good quality. When to pick up a paid for item and wast treated with any kind of coustyor respect was told to walk around to find my item which I couldn't because I was in my way to work was sent a msg to come and get it was setting outside and don't come when I questioned about how long it had sat outside I wasn't given a ansewer read more

OK, a number of the items there are a bit expensive yet we did come away with a cool find for my daughter. If nothing else it's fun to browse especially during the fall and holiday seasons. Service was exceedingly pleasant and courteous. read more

The store is great with a variety of items. However, while some staff is friendly and helpful there is one individual that is neither. The female with short hair and drawn on eye brows is not welcoming, she's rude and bossy, and will try to cheat you. Indifferent staff in customer service happens but out right snotty personalities at a small business is appalling. We bought a few items and yet I got yelled at and unnecessarily told what to do as if I'm a child. Because of this my family will not be back. Enter at your own risk. read more

Huge selection, well displayed, good items. I am a stickler when it comes to antique stores and I have a well thought out method for rating them. I base it on the following criteria: Selection of items, organization and cleanliness and competition among vendors. This store is very big. The floor plan is laid so that you don't find yourself stumbling back through the same lots and wasting time, which I appreciate. The lighting is good (i hate having to use a flashlight indoors to read fine writing), and the flow of the aisle compliments the overall size of the booths. There is a wide selection of items such as furniture, military memorabilia, photo gear, advertising, toys, etc. This is the stuff you want to see at antique stores IMHO, not boutique clothes and flea market bs. I believe it is crucial for antique store managers and owners to police vendors to insure they are not pushing junk, and they do that well here. The price point it probably what keeps this place from a 5 star rating. Despite what some people believe, all antique malls are not created equally. I regularly pick several stores in my hometown and find amazing bargains, but that wasn't the case here. There was a fair amount of competition among a few booths that had similar items, but there wasn't enough to say that its hard to hang onto your money if you come here wanting to buy something. I saw maybe 10-15% of the booths running sales, which is good but not great. I did find a good buy after about an hour and a half of looking, so it wasn't a bad trip. I also spent some time talking to the manager and he was really personable. All in all, its a place I would checkout at least monthly if you enjoy antiquing. read more

Second visit to Antique Center I & II. Many of the vendors had new items in their booth and most if the booths had sale stickers. If you are looking for antique Christmas items, and especially ornaments, this could be a good stop for you. Some items seem way over priced, but considering there are many vendors here, that is to be expected. Great place to just walk around on a Sunday afternoon. Two buildings make up this mall and both were really wonderful to explore! It was nice to see malls with REAL antiques, not just modern reproductions and cheesy collectibles. The staff in both buildings were extremely friendly and helpful. Both buildings were surprisingly very clean and had no odors - something that's sadly too common in malls where it's obvious that the dealers are either too old or don't care about their spaces. The prices were in line with any mall you find along side a major route. All in all, a really pleasant experience! read more

Our favorite antique shops in Murfreesboro. We've been able to get some better prices on items after the staff called the owners of the items with our offers. Inventory always seems fresh and there is so much to look at. Pay close attention so some items, I bought some very authentic looking old locks only to discover they were knockoffs from amazon. Other than that we've gotten some amazing pieces in here. read more

This place is really great! As a new resident of The Boro I am still finding my way around and visiting a lot of antique shops etc. I only had about 30 minutes to check this place out before they closed on Saturday but I have to tell you it was great! They have so many unique items that I haven't seen before and everyone was so friendly. Can't wait to come back! read more

Dealer beware This is not a dealer friendly antique mall ... I stopped in and was able to find a few things ( most are over priced) Went to check out ... no one was at the check out .. I had to yell " Hello" a couple times ( no other customers in the store) the desk clerk is also a dealer and she was shopping... I let her know I was tax exempt and she had to call the main building to get verification... I let her now I had not been in in almost a year ( I'm not from TN)......she told me my exemption form was not on file .. she need to make a copy ( standard business) I have a copy on my phone for just such an occasion They are not able to receive email copy .... they do not have a Bluetooth printer ( copy on my phone) and will not allow me to fax later from my office and they did not seem to care if I purchased or not ... I did not ask for any discount.. I was paying in cash If you are a dealer at one of these malls you should be outraged... it's your money that just walked out the door read more

An average local antique mall in two adjacent buildings on US 231 South at I-24. There are a variety of dealers and unique items, but many dealers seem to maintain tired looking booths with merchandise stock that hasn't been rotated or sold in a year or even two years. Prices are full retail and bargains are seldom. Store staff is friendly, but seem preoccupied to answer questions: it feels imposing to inquire for assistance. I have patronized this store over the years and observe more indifference. A distinct positive about this mall is it hasn't turned into yard sale or flea market items like some other antique malls have...there is a bit of an authenticity feel if one is looking for something that is truly vintage. It's not worthy of a special weekend road trip to drive across the state, but it's still a good antique mall to browse for 20 minutes or so if one is in Murfreesboro or one desires to make a stop at Exit 81 on the way elsewhere. read more

Finally a place with quality antiques.....very nice! Lots to look at and the prices aren't bad for retail.

I stop by here about once a month. They have a nice variety of booths and most prices are reasonable. New items show up on regular basis. There are no unrented booths, suggesting that management does not overcharge on rental and are good stewards of their tenants' property. There are a couple of seedy motels close to the stores, but this is not the fault of the Antique Center. I have never had a problem with the (permanent) residents of these motels coming over to the Center (I get the feeling that they sleep all day because they are awake all night), so don't let the appearance of the adjacent buildings deter you from visiting. read more

Wonderful, clean business with variable price points to choose from, and very little yard sale junk. I found the "Dealer Beware" review funny....as a dealer myself, I guess I am not "dealer friendly"... I don't locate, clean, and research the value/history of an item so that I can discount it for another dealer and they can make the profit on it. I also appreciate knowledgable staff members that take the time to constantly walk the floor and review what has recently come into the shop rather than sitting at the desk surfing the internet. I always carry many copies of my tax exempt form while on the road (why wouldn't you?). I stop by these two great shops as often as possible and almost always come out with a treasure. read more
