As I browsed around this store, the owner was having a loud conversation with another customer…read moreabout how they wanted to just get rid of everything and let the building go so they could retire. They had been trying to sell the business but no takers so she was frustrated. Most items in the store had no prices on them. I was interested in a few glassware items but the longer the owner talked about her business problems, the more turned off I became. Then her loud conversation turned to politics. This is where she lost me as a customer. I don't understand why business owners would ever bring politics into their business setting. You should know by now that 50% of your potential customers do not agree with your political opinion! Just dumb!!

My mother and I decided to go to this store because we were curious about what was inside since it…read morewas always closed. After a little bit of being inside the store my mom found a flute that had just been marked up at $100. When we went to check out however my mom found two cranes that were marked up as $3 each. When the lady saw however she decided to say that they were $30 each and that she had marked them up wrong. My mom decided to refuse that offer and just get the flute instead. When the lady saw the price of the flute that she had just marked she then decided to go and look up the flute and its price on eBay. She tried to mark up the price by 50 more dollars and at this point my mom just wanted leave. The lady then got harsh and tried to make her feel guilty for not paying the extra, so we left. Next time do better.

I find designer jeans that fit perfectly. I also buy my vintage Xmas ornaments at Serenity and occasionally just shopping around I find that perfect vase, or frame, something unique. The shop is clean, and very well organized.

But on my birthday August 2023 I treated myself to a reproduction horse statue that I later realised I was way overcharged for, as in, I paid $250 and the item is all over ebay for as low as $30. I won't go back there and gave the item away as I didn't even want to look at it anymore. I had regrets at the time even for paying so much for an item I couldn't afford, but now realising I can't even sell it and get my money back is a real disapointment.

Several garden art pieces were not priced, so I politely asked the owner, Kathy, for help. She ignored me completely while continuing a casual phone conversation with a friend. I stood there waiting for about seven minutes before asking again. This time, she put the caller on hold and walked over with me, only to point out a tiny price tag almost deliberately hidden behind the piece. Instead of simply showing it to me respectfully, she said, "Do you read English?" Then she asked, "Where are you from?" Before I could even answer, she said "Mexico" and walked away. For the record, I am Native American from the Klallam Tribe. This store operates on Native land, and the owner had the audacity to treat me like a foreigner in my own homeland. The interaction was rude, dismissive, and openly disrespectful. Antiques and garden art are not worth being humiliated or stereotyped. Customer service matters, and basic human decency matters even more. I strongly recommend spending your money elsewhere.
