Worst experience I've ever encountered with Optical medical procedures. It's taken 3 prescriptions to finally get it right. I use my eyes professionally everyday as a commercial photographer/videographer. My father & great grandfather were both optometrists & sadly this staff & doctor fail extremely on delivering excellent or professional service. Save $ & time & frustration. Hands down worst customer/client service I've experienced recently. I'm running late to my appointment at 2p. Called at 2.07p, to let them know I'm running late, b/c i desperately need a script so I can order lenses. Woman who answers kindly says 'oh i see you here, yes that's fine come on in' I come in at 2.14p after racing down Brentwood. Guy who booked my appt says 'i'm sorry, but we have a 10 min grace period' Me: "She literally just told me to come in?!?" Front desk guy: "She's new, I'm sorry. That's our policy" So who trained her? You? So effectively you are responsible. This is a dumpster fire of a business. Horrible customer service. A dying industry and with a bit of research (I'll post a follow-up this week), one can see just how much $ is being extracted from 'patients' when the assistant is on auto-pilot b/c the tech does all of the heavy lifting. Buy inexpensive glasses at Zenni Optical. Go to Erker's for a prescription. Do not go to Antoine Eye Car in the Galleria Mall in St. Louis Missouri. read more

I can see clearly now, my eyes have been examined by Dr. Michael Antoine. Sometimes the convenience of having a doctor of Optometry office attached to eye glasses boutique is to your advantage. Okay, calling Lenscrafter a eye glass boutique is a stretch, but still having the two next to each other is a big plus. I finally found a pair of frames I liked at Lenscrafter and Nerea my sales associate was able to get me a walk in appointment with Antoine Eye Care. Extra bonus points, they took my vision insurance so it was no money out of pocket for me. Dr. Antoine was friendly, explained each test and questioned my computer use to make sure he put me in the right lens. When it is time for the next eye exam, I will not procrastinate like I did this time. I will call Antoine Eye Care and get it done. read more

I have been visiting Antoine eye care for quite some time. However, the service has recently gone downhill. They are now money hungry. We will start with last year i had lasik eye surgery with TLC eye center who they are in partnership with. TLC has a contract with Antoine Eye Care where i would receive all my future eyecare visits with them at no additional cost to me. TLC was paying them for the first year after surgery so I went for my first follow up visit and after they decided to charge me still despite their agreement with TLC. I found out later from TLC that not only did they get paid by my insurance company but they also took payment from TLC. Basically they double billed and got paid twice. Fast forward this year i go back for a yearly exam and i get home and review my bill and discover they have billed both my private medical insurance and eyemed. I call them and they say well because we discussed you having floaters after surgery. The doctor asked me how my surgery went and i replied i noticed floaters after surgery. So they say this gives them the right to bill my medical insurance for a medical exam, refraction, some unlisted procedure (they did not perform a procedure) and then they billed my eye insurance company for an eye exam. They have some very questionable billing practices. I will have to report them to the BBB and others because this can't be legal its greed. I left them a great review a few years back, but they have really gotten greedy. I wont be going back. read more

I have been going to Antoine Eye Care for many years. Dr Antoine takes the time to explain things well and will switch out contacts to get an optimal fit. The office staff are courteous and helpful. I have gone to many eye doctors over the years and I believe he is one of the best. read more

Quite pleased with the Antoine experience. 1. Equipment is the newest (Zeiss etc.) and the staff cleans before/after each use. 2. My exam was done by Dr Antoine, he was very thorough and took extra time to measure my own tolerances/attitude before recommending something. 3. The staff was right on getting me in and out even when it was busy. Insurance set up and very fair cost for the extras I wanted. 4. LensCrafters is right there if and when I do need to get some cheaters. Altogether a pleasant experience for a trip to the eye doctor. read more

I have been coming to Antoine for maybe 10 years. I don't even live close anymore but it's always a great experience so I make the drive from west county. The staff are super nice, they get me in and out, and help after hours too. They are very responsive when I've needed a prescription or anything else. It's a super easy experience. I also like that I can easily book online. My husband loves it too. read more

I have visited Antoine Eye Care twice, and had a good experience both times. I especially appreciate that, as far as I can tell anyways, they have the latest technology, including an "Optomap" machine to take photos of your eye so you don't need to have your pupils dilated. (They do charge a little more for this, but I recommend it. Plus, it's cool to see the photos afterwards.) Employees are friendly, and I've never had a long wait (I made an appointment both for both visits). Note that it is located inside Lenscrafters, and they do tell the Lenscrafters people your prescription after every visit. You may find that a positive or negative. read more

There are much closer eye care and Lens Crafters locations, however, I come to this location because of Dr. Antoine and his staff. Everyone is super friendly and helpful and not the fake kind. This place is a joke! Really bad customer service from the younger lady at the doctor's office. She did not have glasses and had hair to her neck/shoulder. It was short hair. She was tacky and rude and I did not appreciate it. They are not the place to go. Many others to stop by, I'd say to pass on this place. The eye doctor here was also not very good. I kept repeating I couldn't see things during the exam and he just wasn't getting it. I've had terrible dry eye for years and this guy literally told me to use drops and a heating compress on my eyes (which I'm already doing) and proceeded to enter this as being a reason to run my MEDICAL insurance. You read that correctly. My spouse and I both work in optical and we thought this was really strange. My spouse asked why this would be getting ran with medical insurance and this lady refused to make any eye contact and would not explain why that needed to happen. She then walked away instead of discussing why on earth they would run insurance. They were running insurance for a "prescribed eyedrop" that can be purchased over the counter at most stores (but not even at their store.) Can you believe that? My spouse went back and told them they did not have permission to use medical insurance for "dry eye." If we see a medical insurance claim come through we will be reporting it as a fraudulent claim. They should not be doing this! Very strange. Seems sketchy. read more

Everyone at the office of Dr. Antoine is caring, polite, friendly, patient and more.I am never rushed, but never wait either. When you show up for your appointment on time, they are on time. Dr Antoine takes great care to listen, answer questions, explain/educate about your vision/eyes. Also even though the office is in a Lenscrafter's, there is no obligation to buy and no pressure to purchase there. You always leave with you prescription. read more

He was thorough and really took the time to answer all my questions, explain my prescription, and more. He did not rush me and that is very important to me in a medical setting. Horrible! Our kids had their prescriptions for contacts/glasses done in May. My husband noticed some additional charges on top of the exam and the rest of the fees, he questioned for "fitting" the contacts, which he was told was for showing them how to get them in the eyes. Our oldest didn't need this done, so he complained about the fees being so high. They offered to refund that part of the fee. Now I went to go order more contacts online and was told that the prescription isn't valid. I called and was told by Antoine that because they offered us a refund of that portion of the bill, they also rescinded the prescription and it's no longer any good. If I want them to tell the supplier what the valid prescription is, I have to pay them $60 first. No thanks, I will take my business somewhere else. Also, before this incident, the contacts they provided my youngest he was having trouble putting in his eyes. He had a box of trial lenses and it just wasn't going well The texture of the lenses was very difficult to work with, so we asked if we could have a trial pair of a different brand, the ones his brother and father both use, to see if it may be easier for him to work with. We were told no, not without paying for another exam/fitting fee! Avoid these people! I will never step foot in there again. read more

I was examined by Dr. Antoine. The exam was fine and uncomplicated as I've been wearing glasses and contacts since the 5th grade. However, I felt like I was being pushed into purchasing more expensive contacts than I needed by Dr. Antoine. I had to insist very strongly that I liked my original contacts that were both less expensive per box and also very comfortable. I had been wearing them very comfortably for at least the past 6 years with no issues at all. I felt like I was dealing with a cheap used car salesman. I felt like he cared more about making money off me than actually doing what was best for my eyes. Even though the exams went fine and I got the right prescription for my eyes, I will never go back. However, I highly recommend the Lencrafter's that the optometrist office is attached to. They are incredibly helpful and super nice. They are two completely separate businesses, Dr. Antonie probably just rents the space from them because it will bring him more business being next to an eye-glass shop. read more

Still waiting for 10a appt 25 min later! Having an appointment does not guarantee you will be seen at your appointment time. Rather you are put in a cue and served at their leisure. - Walk in's were served before us, and there was NO optical emergency. Definately upselling of additional testing. However when we got in (45 min after appt time) we were served with very good service. read more

Dr. Smith was great! I got my appointment changed to an earlier appointment and she saw me within 5 minutes of my arrival. The technicians were great and very fast. Dr. Smith showed me photos of my eyes and explained the changes in my eyes very well. It was my first experience with her and I will definitely request her again! read more

I'm upping my review to 5 stars! I've seen both doctors here, and I felt like I received personalized attention from both. They were both friendly and explained things well. The staff at the front desk in the contact lens room are all very friendly and courteous as well. I've never had difficulty scheduling and rescheduling appointments here. I called as a new patient after an eye injury became unbearable and they got me in an hour later. Dr. Antoine seems to really care about his patients. I've seen him three times in the past two weeks (!) and each time he's been attentive and seems to go above and beyond to ease the injury pain while still helping me see better. The staff are all very friendly as well, especially Tina! Not to mention, Lenscrafters has THE cutest frames!! read more
