This statement is a total lie! I'm not sure how they can claim that they genuinely care about your health when they tell you they are going to research info about contacts for you but never calls you back. He even acknowledged that he "ghosted" me when I stopped in their office to find out what was going on. Once again, he said he was going to call a company for more information and get back with me the next week. That was back in September and I haven't heard from his office since then. I really like Dr. M. Murphy OD and he consistently delivers Exceptional care. I have been a patient of his for several years. I have seen a couple other eye doctors because of insurance mix ups but none of them are as knowledgeable or as caring as Dr. Michael Murph. He is especially patient and concerned about monitoring for diabetic eye changes and glaucoma. I always receive excellent care with one exception. There are two office assistants in his office, one is really nice, knowledgeable and helpful, the other not so. Recently I tried to pinpoint what her issue is and I believe she is just not a friendly person. She has a marked personality change for the better when she is being observed by her other female colleague, but other times she is short and unfriendly and performs task perfunctorily. I will continue to trust my eye care to Dr. Michael Murphy because he's wonderful! My 4/5 rating is because of One of his office staff. read more

I had been looking for a regular office I could use for my whole family. You can book appointments online any they provide text reminders for upcoming appointments (really convenient). Dr. Mike offers the type of personalized care that is hard to find from the chain vision stores. He worked well with the kids and provided explanations of the evaluations and the results. I really enjoyed discussing the difference between the different brands of contacts that are out there and why his office chose the brand they use now. He was never condescending and was patient when working with the kids. I will return again and would recommend to anyone looking for a good eye doctor. read more

Personable office staff, thorough exam, and comfortable surroundings. A+++ Dr. Mike has also treated my daughter for the last 4 years. His care and concern for each patient's eye sight is center to his practice. He's not a hard sell like I've experienced elsewhere. His main concern is your eye health. They were rude. It was weird. The intake woman seemed rushed and annoyed as soon as we came in. Everyone seemed annoyed and on edge except the receptionist. She was very polite. They didnt seem to have patience with my son who has delayed speech and often gets a bit noisy trying to express his thoughts. But if you provide pediatric services you certainly can't be that easily annoyed by little kids being noisy. Plus we were the only people there so who exactly are we disturbing. Then it took forever just to do the exam. If ever there's something to test a kids patience it's being forced to sit perfectly quiet in a sterile place. Even when my son tried to whisper that seemed to be annoying to Dr. Murphy as well. Don't offer kids services if kids being kids bothers you.. Especially when I'm breaking my neck trying to calm my kids down and keep them quite. I've worked where kids come in and even if they're noisy or busy it's certainly nothing that would change MY mood. I'd feel worse for the parent than for me. This office is not a place for kids if you ask me. Parents can only do so much to quite a little kid who is determined to talk and I tried everything. My kids were not being that bad so it was weird that the staff seemed so on edge about it. read more

I have been going to Dr. Murphy for 5 years now he is the best eye DR I have been to. Extremely thorough and knowledgeable. He just knows eyes so very well and, unlike other doctors I've been to, does not try to sell you things you do not need. Perhaps the best part of his office is the staff. They, along with him, truly care and anticipate your needs ahead of time. Case in point: I was going out of town and my contacts had not arrived yet, so they gave me way more than enough trial lenses (free) to last me. I actually like coming in to see them because of the culture that exists within their office. read more

I had a awkward experience with another vision office who shall remain nameless and Dr. Murphy reached out, told me exactly what we needed to hear and did everything we needed in our vision emergency (woe is he who breaks his only pair just before eye surgery!) He listened to us and really went FAR ABOVE AND BEYOND what we needed to fix our issue and gave us solid referrals for the surgery my husband needs as well. We will only be using VCA from here out. Dr. Murphy has finally made having bad eyesight comfortable. Before I saw Murphy, I had the most uncomfortable contacts. When I left his office, I felt like I didn't even have contacts in! It was amazing! To this day, my eyes feel refreshed and amazing! Not only did my visit change my eyesight, but also the way I saw customer service. Dr. Mike has been extremely helpful with my eye evaluations and prescription suggestions. I came to him when I had contacts with bumps on them that were starting to affect my eye sight. He sat down with me on a Saturday, went through many thorough tests and helped me into soft contact lenses I was told I would never be able to wear because of my stigmatism. He took time to educate me on a lot of detail in stead of yelling or scolding me for going as long as I did without proper eye care. Also, his office staff is wonderful! They helped fit me for glasses that I had not updated in over 10 years! His pricing is reasonable and he works with many different insurance options. He even showed how he is competitive with other so-called bargains in the market.
