It is like walking into the inner workings of a vending machine. You order from a touch screen, and your food is prepared behind a wall. Not that dissimilar to when they were in the back of a gas station down the street. That was OK because it was a post-COVID legacy in the back of a crappy gas station. Your food is presented over the counter by kitchen staff who greet you with the same amount of words and enthusiasm as a vending machine: no pleasantries, no acknowledgments, just a cold, emotionless, distant gaze. To be a customer is to experience some form of minimal custom. There is none here. I prefer to be a customer and interact with people, not an automaton. I had been going to their gas station location so was excited to try their new stand alone store. I figured this would allow them to expand their menu. It is expanded but still limited. I wanted to get something for my daughter that is vegetarian and they don't have even their cheese quesadilla on the menu. I'm sure I could order the regular one with no beef, but them I'm overpaying. I picked her up something else on the way home. For us carnivores though they still have the best Birria anywhere. Their birria quesadilla is not to be missed. We also had chips and salsa. I like hot food and it was spicy for me. It is not made for all consumers. Service is by one of those self pay terminals. I heard so many good things about this place so I had to try it for myself. It's 26 min away from we're I live but I decided to make the drive. It's inside a gas station in the back, and it may appear closed but you have to ring the bell to order. I had asked for a cheese quesadilla, since I don't eat meat, and consume. When I got home and opened up my food there was meat in my quesadilla. I was really disappointed as i was so excited to try it. I made my own quesadilla and gave my friend the one they served me.
