Tonight we tried the limited time birria crunch wrap and OH MY GAWD . Flavorful and the size of a baseball glove cut in half , we each devoured a half and could not stop talking about how this is now our top choice ! I have been dying to try this place because the food looks amazing on Instagram. I didn't want anything too big so I was suggested to get the Birria empanadas. I got one chicken and one beef. The empanadas were cooked to perfection, soft to bite into with a little crisp. Not hard or thick just a perfect crumble. The quality of everything was top tier but it was missing some flavor within the meat and the consume'. I was expecting that burst of flavor when you dip it and take that first bite with the consume' but I never got it. It was a good regular empanada with quality meat but I didn't feel the Birria experience. I would go back to see if the birria tacos are any better. read more

I've had Fuiyo Mexicana's famous birria tacos on my radar for quite some time and I finally got to try them this past weekend while visiting the Great Southern Box Company food hall. After years of doing mostly pop-ups in their food truck, they now have a permanent spot inside GSBC. I don't know what kind of magic juju they use to make their perfectly crispy cheese tortilla shells, but they definitely lived up to the hype. The order came with 3 large tacos which were great for sharing with my husband since we were wanting to try dishes from multiple vendors in the food hall. With this being my 3rd visit now, I have to say that Fuiyo Mexicana serves up some of the best food there. The beef birria was delicious and the consume broth for dipping them was rich & flavorful. You can also get them made with chicken if you prefer. They have many other yummy sounding birria dishes as well like birria eggrolls, ramen, empanadas, nachos, quesadillas, burritos, and more. Friendly staff and yummy food! Overall we enjoyed everything we ate!! My only 2 critiques are: 1) I wish the meat had more depth of flavor. The birria didn't lack salt but lacked those Mexican flavors that give a special richness. Tasted more like a Cuban ropa vieja, or Puerto Rican carne guisada. Don't get me wrong, still TASTY but I was looking for more. And 2) the dip for the churros they said was "Nutella" did not taste the freshest or like the real thing. We wanted to eat everything! The burrito was insanely good, flavors were popping! I shared with my daughter since it was a big portion for just one of us. First time visiting this place and right off the bat I knew I will be coming back. The ambiance at this place was just awesome and energetic. There was a live dj and drummer playing when we walked in and immediately set the cool vibe. I could smell the tacos as soon as I walked in too. They had a sample of the food sitting out so that I immediately knew what it was going to look like and how much food it would be. The birria burrito is a nice portion and the little orange sauce with it was on point! These were some of the best tacos we've ever had and the burrito - just wow ok, wow. This thing had so much delicious flavor to it and even the rice tasted amazing. Everything was cooked just right and seasoned to perfection. I made sure to eat it slowly so I could really savor everything. I think Mike was the one that took our order and he was very nice and even gave us extra orange sauce. YUMM!! read more

Everything about this food is the best the birria is crispy and the meat is decadent the beef and chicken tacos taste amazing, the sauces and consommé is so rich and beautiful flavor you can tell they put a lot of time and effort into their food, the ambiance is very nice in a food hall and the owners and staff and super nice and amazing. I have been here a couple of times and on both occasions the tacos have been bomb and the service has been great! Definitely worth the value, as I have taken home leftovers on both occasions. What makes these birria tacos stand out is the cheesy crust. Is there such thing as too much cheese? Absolutely not! I heard GREAT reviews on here, Instagram, & TikTok but unfortunately I was not impressed . It wasn't flavorful and the meat wasn't shredded so it was just big chunks of meat with fat. The consume wasn't flavorful either I had to put the lime inside of it just to get a little more flavor, and they only included one lime :(( , it was cute in there and not too busy for a Saturday and had a lot of seating & had tvs on the wall for guests too & a full service bar which looked nice but options on menu were limited. The service of the restaurant was great , the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. The presentation of the food was amazing but I was just expecting much more flavor from the many good reviews on multiple platforms & the excess of fat really threw me off and diminished my appetite. Great Southern Box My husband and I were looking for somewhere to eat for lunch and we saw Fui Yo on Yelp, we had no idea that it was just one of the many restaurants in the Great Southern Box Company Food Hall. The food hall has a parking garage, indoor and outdoor seating, a large bar area, oversized board games, and clean restrooms. The outdoor area has plenty of tables and a large lawn area with seating in the sun or shade. The building itself is a gorgeous mix of modern and 1920's lounge décor from the plush, burnt orange seating and wooden tables to the oversized light covers. They also have pictures of the building and area when it was built. They have a list of events posted at the entrance, which include trivia, brunch events, and music. I ate at Fui Yo and my husband chose to get some Jamaican food at Kayos. We would love to come back one night and enjoy cocktails and food. Rating from F to A+++, I give it an A+++! Fui Yo I found Fui Yo on Yelp while looking for a new place to eat during lunch time. The restaurant has a variety of birria dishes including tacos, empanadas, ramen, nachos, and more. They also have chicken empanadas. They have a variety of drinks including tea, jarritos, soft drinks, and bottled water. For dessert they have churritos with Nutella and ice cream tacos. I got the empanada appetizer with one chicken and one birria empanada, the churritos, and a guava jarrito. I think the birria empanada had better flavor than the chicken one. My meal was around $25, which is a bit pricey. The empanadas were well stuffed, made fresh, and full of flavor. The churritos were hot, crispy, and perfectly sweet. The food was all made fresh to order, so it took a little bit to be prepared, but its worth it to get freshly cooked food. Rating from F to A+++, I give it an A+++. read more
