Mike's Birria Burrito & Birria Eggroll

Food here is always on point. I always get the Mike's Burrito. We tried the new Birria Elote bowl and it was a hit! Service is great. Only took 5 to 10 minutes to get our food. We had plenty leftovers for the next day!

I've had Fuiyo Mexicana's famous birria tacos on my radar for quite some time and I finally got to try them this past weekend while visiting the Great Southern Box Company food hall. After years of doing mostly pop-ups in their food truck, they now have a permanent spot inside GSBC. I don't know what kind of magic juju they use to make their perfectly crispy cheese tortilla shells, but they definitely lived up to the hype. The order came with 3 large tacos which were great for sharing with my husband since we were wanting to try dishes from multiple vendors in the food hall. With this being my 3rd visit now, I have to say that Fuiyo Mexicana serves up some of the best food there. The beef birria was delicious and the consume broth for dipping them was rich & flavorful. You can also get them made with chicken if you prefer. They have many other yummy sounding birria dishes as well like birria eggrolls, ramen, empanadas, nachos, quesadillas, burritos, and more. I look forward to trying more of the menu the next time I visit.

Came for the infamous birria tacos and left with a full belly. The meat was tender and consume was packed with flavor from the peppers. The tortilla and crunchy cheese was almost cracker-like and added a nice crunch when biting into the taco. It was a great lunch that I needed a nap afterwards!

Fuiyo Mexicana is definitely one of the best spots to go if you go to the Great Southern Box Company! Not only does their food look crazy, it tastes great as well. As you can see from the picture we got the massive birria tacos and I highly recommend you try it. The hall itself it's beautiful and has a lot of seating and the service at Fuiyo was great as well! They shared their knowledge of the menu and actually recommend the burrito.

Finally got to come and try the food here which was amazing! We ordered the chicken and beef Birria tacos, Birria egg roll and Birria empanada. All are packed with flavor including the consomme.... portions are filling and service is fast and friendly... highly recommend coming to support them at the Great Southern Box Co.

New favorite place for tacos. So happy to see they open on the great southern hall.heard so many good things about it and finally try them. Amazing and fast service. I try the birria and chicken tacos, and they were so tasty. Great portions and afforable prices. Definitely will be back to get more and try more items of their menu.

Friendly staff and yummy food! Overall we enjoyed everything we ate!! My only 2 critiques are: 1) I wish the meat had more depth of flavor. The birria didn't lack salt but lacked those Mexican flavors that give a special richness. Tasted more like a Cuban ropa vieja, or Puerto Rican carne guisada. Don't get me wrong, still TASTY but I was looking for more. And 2) the dip for the churros they said was "Nutella" did not taste the freshest or like the real thing. Maybe it was an off brand knock off?? So we didn't eat that. Regardless I'd still visit again :)

You MUST order the birra empanadas, they were absolutely amazing! We only tried these but we will be back to try other items. The order of empanadas comes with 2 and the consume dipping sauce for $10. The empanadas have a substantial amount of meat and cheese and the dough texture is quite good. Service was fast and friendly! If you're looking for Mexican when visiting this is a definite yes!

So happy to see this business expanding and growing. Came to check them our for their grand opening and they surely never disappoints. They've added new menu items that are still in trial but their usual birria tacos remain untouched, phenomenal and packed with flavor ad always. They will he a great asset to this new wonderful and chill food hall. We will be back to continue exploring the menu.

    Chicken and steak birria tacos

Tried both the chicken and steak tacos and definitely think the chicken was my favorite. The hot sauce with the lime and the cheesy crunch was just so tasty. This is located in a food hall and even though I went on St. Patrick's day and there was a DJ and a run club that stopped by there was plenty of space for everyone.

    Mike's Birria Burrito

Phenomenal food!! Ed, took time out of his day to offer me some of their house made sauces and every one of them was just great!! Yes, the prices are a higher than you'd find elsewhere AND rightfully so. The food alone is worth it but the consideration and friendly service across the board was top tier. 11/10 Reccomend it all day long!! The portions were huge too. Easily fills me up and I'm 6'6 with a large appetite.

First time visiting this place and right off the bat I knew I will be coming back. The ambiance at this place was just awesome and energetic. There was a live dj and drummer playing when we walked in and immediately set the cool vibe. I could smell the tacos as soon as I walked in too. They had a sample of the food sitting out so that I immediately knew what it was going to look like and how much food it would be. The birria burrito is a nice portion and the little orange sauce with it was on point! These were some of the best tacos we've ever had and the burrito - just wow ok, wow. This thing had so much delicious flavor to it and even the rice tasted amazing. Everything was cooked just right and seasoned to perfection. I made sure to eat it slowly so I could really savor everything. I think Mike was the one that took our order and he was very nice and even gave us extra orange sauce. YUMM!!

Disclaimer: this review is for the lunch buffet only…read more I went with my family to try the $18.49 all you can eat lunch buffet. This was my first time experiencing a buffet for hispanic food and for this price point in Orlando, this is an amazing value deal. The server regularly brought us out silverware, napkins, and refilled our water. The place is decorated very fun and plays latin music which was lovely Not only was there an unlimited assortment of lunch foods, but an entire bar of fresh toppings for tacos (or rice bowls) and made to order desserts which were included for free! Not everything on the buffet line was the best but given the amount of options, price, and how good the great items are this is still worth a five star rating. I unfortunately did not take pictures of the food before I began devouring everything in sight to the point of near-collapse, but I will do a quick rundown of the buffet highlights: The best meats were the fajita steak, chicken, and shrimp made fresh in cast iron skillets, as well as the chicken lengua which was super flavorful and tender. The mexican rice, beans, fajitas, plantains, and street corn were also excellent. Fresh quesadillas, chips, and corn tortillas on standby with homemade queso and salsas. The flan and mini churros were the best I've ever had. Super rich, decadent Carmel flan. Mini churros hot and crisp on the outside, filled with a gooey soft milk chocolate center. They were delicious. Items that were disappointing: the tamales, mini chicken flautas, and beef chimichangas were just okay, lacking the seasoning and flavor that other dishes had. The beef barbacoa was not as tender or flavorful as the shredded chicken surprisingly. The mixed seafood was itself a mixed bag with some shrimps / scallops overcooked to much while others were perfectly cooked. The chicken mole and beef tri tip were room temperature despite sitting on hot plates. The tri tip also varied widely in doneness throughout the slices and not super tender. The rice pudding was pretty standard, and the tres leches cake was weird as they crumbled the cake into pieces before soaking it.

Service & Ordering Ordering started off fine, and one employee was genuinely helpful. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff interactions were the opposite. The drink options are extremely limited -- mostly bottled items -- and what's pictured on the menu is not what you actually receive. Misleading Drink Advertising I paid over $3 for the branded Talkin' Tacos water shown on the menu. Instead, the employee handing out food dropped two tiny Pure Life bottles, one of the cheapest waters you can buy. My wife and I were shocked. This felt like false advertising and set the tone for the rest of the visit. Incorrect Order & Staff Attitude My food came out with sour cream, which is not listed as a topping for the item I ordered. I don't eat dairy, and when I pointed it out, the employee grabbed the tray, walked off, then came back and shoved it in front of me while insisting "this is what you selected." Completely unprofessional. The helpful employee stepped in and offered to remake it, but by then the experience was already ruined. Food Quality The food itself was bland and lacked flavor. My son barely ate his meal and said it wasn't good, which says a lot about the overall quality. Overall Value Between the misleading drink presentation, rude staff interaction, incorrect order, and mediocre food, Talkin' Tacos simply isn't worth the price. With better taco options nearby, I won't be returning to this location.

I bought 3 chicken tacos (about 12 dollars), then sat in an empty table to wait. It was ready for me in under 10 minutes. The tacos were small, but they had a good amount of chicken, cheese, onions, tomato, and cilantro. A choice of sauce was included, and I took the hot red sauce. The sauce was small, but still ample enough to pour over the three tacos. The flavors were pretty good (thanks to the heat from the sauce) and it was filling enough for me, though the flour tortillas was a bit too hard for me. The service was pretty good, though I ordered from the kiosk and I picked up my order after they called my name. However, they did check up on me, as well a provided water to cops, and removed empty items from the tables. The staff were quite friendly. The dining area was small and a bit boring. There were 2TVs showing ads for their products, and 1 displaying a horse race. The restaurant was quite cramped, and I was thankful to find a table. It's located in downtown, so parking will be either in a meter or a garage. This restaurant serves pretty good tacos at a reasonable price, but the atmosphere was a bit bland for a taqueria. It was also small and can get crowded and full easily. Best to have this to go or delivered. It's still a nice restaurant for tacos in downtown.
