Honestly, this is a family favorite. You something fresh, traditional, and inexpensive give them a shot. They have Pacifico beer, an array of appetizers, and entrees. Delicious every time. The service is excellent. This a a family owned business that delivers service and delicious food. The restaurant is family friendly. Give them a try. You will not regret it.

##5 (1 Taco, 1 Quesadilla and 1 Sope O Tostada) taco & quesadilla de al pastor & sope de asada

As a Mexian who knows authentic Mexican food, I can say this place was definitely amazing and authentic. I got the number 5 with a taco de al pastor and also added al pastor to the quesdilla - and the sope de asada! highly recommend! 10/10

This was our first time and will definitely not be our last! This is a small, family run restaurant found in a busy shopping mall. The food is all homemade with mami and papi working in the kitchen. We started with the Tenochips for an appetizer. At first glance the appetizer seemed rather small, but don't let the size fool you. It was absolutely delicious and well seasoned. It turned out to be the perfect size for two people to share. We had steak as our protein. Very delicious and flavorful! The chips are thicker than most places, and not greasy! The pico, steak, and beans very flavorful! My husband who is gluten free ordered Tacos with corn tortillas. Their tacos all come with onions and cilantro on top, typical for Mexico, which means the seasoning on the protein has to shine. He had an Al Pastor, chorizo, steak, and chicken taco. All of them were cooked to perfection. Nothing dry about the protein. The Al Pastor seasoning was very good. The chicken tacos were not grilled but made of moist shredded chicken... not dry at all. The chorizo taco has a hint of cinnamon which really surprised us in a good way. Very flavorful and not greasy in the slightest. Overall his favorite protein was the steak. Their prices are very reasonable. Portions are not large but just enough so you leave feeling satisfied. The staff we met are all part of the family. Very welcoming, friendly and ready to answer any questions you might have. Overall, I would describe this place as a little taste of Mexico! Definitely worth checking out.

Ordered some tacos and a combo meal to-go and it was so yummy. The staff was very sweet over the phone and answered all our questions. The combo came with two tacos and a quesadilla along with some chips and pico de gallo. The combo was very filling and was enough to split between two people, granted we weren't starving. We also got an order of their guacamole and we're very impressed. The guac along with the pico were very fresh and the pit in the guac was a funny little touch. To drink I tried their pineapple agua fresca and it was deeeelicious! Overall, the meal was very filling and was made with quality ingredients. I will definitely return again. It's definitely one of the best Mexican restaurants in Kendall!

Authentic Mexican dishes! Small menu but everything is delicious. Family friendly environment and quick service.

Combo: carnitas #7 (2 Tacos and 1 Quesadilla)

I've come to this place several times. Their food is really good! So I'd definitely recommend it for their taste. But man have they gotten pricey. Only reason why I'm giving it a four star. The workers are nice and pleasant. It was pretty empty when we went, maybe like a table or two apart from my group. We ordered the nachos with carne asada on them. Those chips they make there are my favorite! They are so crispy and taste good. We also had the carne asada fries which I've never had before but they were delicious, portion is really big and the fries surprisingly were still crispy. Their carnitas tacos are usually my favorite to order but this time they were still good but the portion of meat was smaller than before and it wasn't juicy like I've had it before. The tacos I ordered is a combo so it also comes with a cheese quesadilla which is really good and cheesy. Along with a small portion of Mexican rice and refried beans. I remember this combo maybe being around $9-10 or so and now they're $15! My table also got their tostadas which are $5ish each with no protein ($2 more with) and I don't think it's worth the price. So if you don't mind paying for the food, it's pretty tasty. I just don't think some things are worth the price they have then at.

Carnitas and steak tacos

Good was absolutely delicious. It was fresh, tender, and well seasoned. Although I prefer the birria slightly spicier, it was delicious and there was a good portion of meat and cheese on there. The steak taco could've used a better quality steak but was yummy nonetheless. Service was great as well, it was empty when I came in but this place does deserve the hype as long as they keep doing what they doing with their quality and portion of food. The restaurant was very comforting and you can tell it's family owned

One of the best family run Mexican restaurants I've been to in the area. Loved their tacos and the prices are absolutely reasonable, although they are slated to increase their prices soon! Come get some tacos while they are a steal. The al pastor was great, pollo was NOT, I repeat NOT dry, and the carne asada is probably one of the best I've had in Miami. This place is added to my list of hole in the wall places to bring friends and family when they want some great tacos. The only thing is that this is not a late night place like your typical taco food truck, so make sure you come or order take out earlier in the day. As a small family run restaurant, the decor and ambiance was just ok. The dim white office lighting made me feel some type of way. Could use a little updating, but then again... I think that would not make this a hole-in-the-wall type place anymore. Other than that, the service was warm and welcoming.

Parking was a bit challenging due to the limited number of spaces, but once we walked inside, the experience more than made up for it. We were warmly greeted by Carolina, who also became our server. She was incredibly patient and took her time walking us through the menu, explaining each dish and how everything is prepared. Her dedication to customer satisfaction truly stood out, and we hope management recognizes what an asset she is. Carolina proudly shared that every item on the menu is made in‑house, and it absolutely shows. My wife ordered the Quesadilla de Pollo with a side of Arroz Mexicano and couldn't stop talking about the exceptional flavors. I chose the Tostada al Pastor, a small Tortilla Soup, and a side salad. Everything was delicious, but the Tortilla Soup was the star of the meal--a perfect example of why in‑house preparation matters. Since we're not from the area, we weren't sure where to go for lunch, and we truly lucked out choosing Don Maguey--and having Carolina as our server. Thank you, Carolina. We went here between January 27 & February 6/2026. La Potranca has five Florida locations, but this cantina does not feel like a chain. Authentic sabor Mexicano with an excellent friendly staff. Family friendly & handi-able accesible from the parking lot. This location gets full by 7pm but there is extended service & seating in the common covered courtyard. Plenty of parking in this strip mall location. Service is excellent, fast, & great choices of tacos & drinks. You can choose from 14 different meats/cuts for your tacos, including birria & al pastor. Bow to the taco! Also gringas, vampiros, & burritos. They have bowls (they're BIG) & brunch. p.s. try the churros with 3 dipping sauces. Drinks are extra special here. The clamato & beer cocktail is very unique. Served in a Tajin rimmed large mug, with lime & a tamarind wrapped straw. Excellante! Also a variety of margaritas served in whimsical glasses & their three house cervazas (beers) on draft. La Potranca pays homage to iconic singer & actor Vincente Fernandez "King of Ranchera". Check out the interesting connection with the staff or online. The staff here is excellent. Very helpful when navigating the menu. Very friendly. True professionals. Special shout out to Mauricio & Ralphael - you hombres make this place truly special. Mucho Gracias. We give La Potranca our highest recommendation. The service was a little bit slow, and I felt that the server got annoyed with us when we asked for a few more minutes to look over the menu. It was more the face she made, but I kept my cool. The food was great and the portions were generous. The salsas that she brought to the table were delicious. I wished I had asked whethet they sold them because I would of bought some. The hardest part about dining here was deciding what I wanted to order. I could have ordered the entire menu it looked so good! Helpful tip... check out the menu and know what you're going to order before you get in line. Otherwise you're going to be pressured to order at the front of the line. When you walk in, you place your order and pay for it and take a table number. You need to find your own table. Our service was pretty quick, despite how busy the restaurant was. My cold brew was very good and a nice start to the meal. Our guacamole came next and it was nicely styled with pomegranate, cheese and cilantro on top. Yum! The real star of the show for me was this unassuming looking House Club Sandwich that was to die for. Seriously ... it was so good. I ordered mine without the ham, and it was divine! I wish i lived closer. I'm already dreaming of coming back. My son ordered some kind of short rib/beef burrito and it disappeared so quickly I didn't even get to snap a photo. This is a perfect spot to enjoy a great meal, I highly recommend it. One thing I can say is that it's on the pricey side. $113 lunch for 2 added up super fast but it was well worth it. I'll be dreaming of that sandwich til my next visit!

I ordered the mahi mahi tacos, and while they tasted ok, the portion size felt pretty small for the price. Overall, it came across as a bit overpriced for what you get. The service style is more casual and self-directed. You order and pay at the register, get a number, and then find your own seat while they bring the food out to you. Water is self-serve, and once you're done with your meal, you just head out. There's minimal interaction with staff, which might appeal to people who prefer a more low-key, independent dining experience or want a place to sit and work without being interrupted. That said, the service did not feel very friendly or welcoming. And personally, I left feeling a bit underwhelmed.

The music selection is fire though and I was jamming out the whole time while waiting for my food. I was helped out by Adrian and his service was helpful in finding what dishes to order. I took my food to go and it was piping hot, definitely made fresh to order which I enjoyed. The nachos were what I was most eager to try as they are all the rage on social media. They lived up to the hype and that nacho cheese is absolute gold. I love that it's served in a pizza box. It just makes it iconic. It travels well and everything was still hot when I got home. The Al Pastor taco was just okay, nothing to write home about but now the steak burrito was really really good. I love that they don't have rice in their burritos and instead replace it with potatoes, which is absolutely delicious. I took a few bites and had to give the rest to our dogs. What a shame. My daughter couldn't finish her burrito either. I tasted her steak burrito and it didn't taste like any steak that I have ever tried. So disappointing. The guac and chips were good but they were like a little side dish. So, there went a wasted $50 for lunch. We were still hungry. Since it was a to-go order, we didn't feel like going back all that way again. It was a very hot day. Service was strange. I sat in the car but my daughter went up to the counter to pick up our order. She stood there for a long time in the hot sun and no one helped her. There was a bag sitting on the counter already. Finally when she was helped, the guy said that the bag sitting there was ours!! She was highly irritated fir the poor service. He should have checked to see if his customer was there to pick up the only bag on the counter.
