I would give ZERO stars if I could. I have used and recommended A. Ceriello Electric for electrical work in the past. An electrician, arrived at our residence to install a ceiling light fixture. During the course of this work, he uncapped a gas pipe. After consulting with his supervisor, he elected not to proceed, replaced the cap on the pipe, reinstalled the existing light fixture, and left the premises. The pipe was not sealed properly, and as a result, a hazardous gas leak was created. They will not take any responsibility for their actions. We had to pay $6,500 to fix the problem caused directly by them. I advise you not to use this company. read more

We recently needed a socket replaced because it got wet. I called them around 11:30 and they scheduled me for between 1 and 2 - and Frank arrived on time. Work was good and price was reasonable-happy I found a good electrician. Ceriello did a bunch of odds and ends in a 19th century townhouse in Brooklyn. Add a circuit here, install an outdoor light there, fix an outlet, install a ground,... It was a bunch of work over 2 full days. It was done competently, quickly, with great communication. I'm looking forward to calling them again when I need electrical work done. read more

They don't call back after you send them requested information. Also, they expect you to email questions as opposed to have a discussion regarding them. They were told it was work that needed to be done ASAP then after having to call them back since they never followed up the woman tells me 2 weeks for any new work. Avoid if you want to deal with a professional and efficient company. read more

I called Ceriello and they gave me an appointment for the next business day (which was Tuesday after a holiday) 8:30am. Marvin came by and saw it was a bigger problem so we rescheduled for the next day same time. He came back, did some trouble shooting and while this old building requires a bigger job, he explained very clearly what would need to happen, provided good options and came up with a reasonably priced and option to complete in the meanwhile. I cannot recommend this company enough.I work for a high end medical facility and we had to completely revamp our lighting situation. Frank was the technician sent to do the job and he was such a sweet guy! Very thorough, very knowledgeable, and was able to work with our unique situation. When he came to complete the work after the initial walk through, he brought another technician Jose with him and the both of them together managed to complete 2 days worth of work in just one! They were also discreet and quiet during the hours that we were seeing patients. The cost of the work was extremely reasonable priced, and Frank even ran out to his truck to get a magic eraser to get rid of a scuff that was made on one of our outlets. I just had them install a ceiling fan in our bedroom. It was a simple job in the scheme of things but Jose, the electrician who came to do the job, was really nice and efficient. Booking the appointment was really easy and they were great on the phone. They were recommended to me by my across-the-hall architect neighbor, so I thought that was a pretty good reference. Good news: The electrician who did the walk through and gave the estimate seemed knowledgeable. Bad news: It took over a week for anyone to come to my apartment and look over the job. The estimate cost $160. While the job was fairly small, the estimate was over $3,000. When I requested an itemized estimate, I was told they were too busy and they don't do that. They had a take it or leave it attitude towards the estimate. They were very unpleasant on the phone. Their customer service is what you would expect when you tell the person in the subway booth that there are rats on the platform. read more

Very happy to find an electrician who is thoughtful, and knowledgeable! From my first call through the completion of finding "a wire" that caused a short and fixing it, I felt comfortable. Rocco arrived at the time designated and went right to work on solving this 1st time in 39 year short that didn't trigger a circuit breaker but did cut all the lights in 3 rooms! Use them twice... First time... did a good job to hang two light fixtures. Second time ....needed to hook up to fios phone, gave me an estimate scheduled for the following week. He figure it out eventually bill was over 800.00! I asked to speak with the owner obviously I was not expecting a 800.00 bill. Office girl Rose was extremely rude, refused to let me speak with boss, first offered to take 15.00 off bill.. then made me a final offer and took off 50.00.. I was told estimate is just that an estimate!! Rocco was extremely nice young man and is not responsible for pricing..He needs to align him self with a more honest company. I am recommending that you DO NOT take a chance to hire them un less you have a pocket full of CASH!! I am still upset that I paid a small fortune for a land line hook up!! Hired A Ceriello to install three ceiling fan controls and one additional ceiling fan. After advising us on which materials to purchase and spending two half days in our apartment, none of these tasks were accomplished. We spent nearly $1K in hourly wages and materials and were left with a light bulb dangling from our living room ceiling. Could not be more disappointed. read more

Terrible work. We had them replace the buzzer and intercom system for our building. The system continually shorted out every few months. Each time that they made repairs, the system only lasted for a few weeks before it shorted out again. The final time it shorted out, they told us that we were no longer under warranty, and that a real fix would require re-wiring work and twice as much money. When informed that they had initially told us the opposite (i.e., that the system could simply be replaced without re-wiring), they lied and said that they had recommended re-wiring from the beginning. They were also rude the entire time. Wouldn't use them again if my life depended on it. read more

I hired this contractor to replace my circuit boxes and to bring in an extra 100 amps of electricity. It was a seven day job. The work they performed was done perfectly. Pasquale who owns the business with his father was a pleasure to deal with. They arranged for the building department to inspect the job and of course I received an approval for the work on the first inspection. He labeled all the circuit breakers and all the boxes were installed level. Great attention to details. They covered the floor and put up plastic and left my house broom clean. Pasquale also fixed a few other small electrical problems I was having without charge.
