Ugh. Another bad pizza with a crinkle crust. Now, when we see a pizza with a wavy crust, we expect it to be bad. This pie was no exception. The cheese was ok, but the sauce tasted like spaghetti sauce. We will have to look elsewhere for a decent pizza near us. At least the price was reasonable. read more

Okay so first let me say Antonio's makes a real good pie. I've been ordering from them since the 70's when one of the first stores was on Chevy Blvd near Snow. I'm in North Ridgeville now so the closest one is on Detroit Rd in Avon. We like to order one to take home when we're out that way and this last pizza (Labor Day weekend) was $21.50 for a single topping Large Pizza. We're both retired and just can't afford your pizza any more. On Wednesday we got some of your coupons in the mail for a large pizza for $18.99 but you have to buy TWO of them. That's $38.00 bucks (rounded up) for 2 pizzas. C'mon guys; enough is enough. You make a good pie, but compared to some of the numerous chain pizzas you're double the price. I'll miss you. read more

The chicken tenders and fries with that sauce (which tasted like rasing canes but better) are amazing! I don't know how an Italian place could have the best chicken tenders and fries I have ever had, but I have tasted a lot of chicken tenders and fries in my life, especially at the following locations, but can't say the others even come close to Antonio's. Pretty remarkable. But what's even funnier is when it comes to pizza, Papa Johns has the edge in my opinion - the cheese, the soft and puffy crust, and not to mention the garlic sauce - just can't compare, not even an authentic Italian place. Although I love the pizza from Antonio's, I have big issues with the service. The last 3 times I have ordered take-out, the order is not ready on time (the time that the store told me) and the order is not accurate. If there were less stars than a single to rate this location, that would be even too high at this point. Ordered online for a pick-up - calzone with pepperoni, mushroom, & black olives. Got to the store, paid in cash for it, grabbed the "order", and drove home. All to find that the calzone had nothing but cheese in it. Called the manager of the Avon location and he said he would re-make the order (10-15 min and get it delivered to us, another 10-15 min). We are in North Ridgeville, out of their delivery range, but they said it wasn't a problem due to their mistake. AN HOUR LATER.... called the store, asked for manager, and manager said the driver left the building so he put me on hold and called the driver. Very long time on hold - manager gets back on and says, the driver did leave, but doesn't have your order. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Then I get told the issue would be raised with their customer service dept, and I would get a "gift card" for their mistakes. AGAIN - ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? While I try to understand that mistakes happen, #1: your employees have ONE JOB TO DO - MAKE AN ORDER CORRECT!!! And your delivery drivers??? Hey - how 'bout you remember orders when you walk out the door to do a delivery??? AGAIN - ONE JOB TO DO. DO NOT SEND A FREAKING GIFT CARD - that is the biggest slap in the face. I unfortunately paid cash for the order, otherwise I would dispute the order with my credit card company. I deserve a full refund - in cash - and I guarantee it will never happen. What a horrible company - sending a gift card after they screwed up? That implies I would want to come back there - huge NO on all levels. Been going here for years but much less frequently--- pizza was better -- last two times very greasy. Antonio's salad still good - but still contains bigger chunks of lettuce that you need to cut up by yourself. Dressing very good. The major issue the last few times is the pick up time is not accurate. There were six customers that were all waiting for their order at the same time. This year we got a sheet pizza , a speciality pizza , a half pan of chicken tenders and the Breaded chicken wings with hot sauce, bbq sauce and buffalo ranch dressing... Crust on the traditional pizza was crispy and the speciality Sweet Heat Pepperoni Pizza Rustico - Hand made Rustic crust (approx. 14") topped with our sweet sicilian sauce, provolone & mozzarella cheeses, pepperoni, ricotta cheese, topped with Mike's Hot Honey. The tenders went over well. They aren't overly breaded. But they were real chicken and tender and juicy. The huge hit were the beaded wings. Think fried chicken but miniaturized. Best wings locally. Cheese was stretched pretty thin is my guess that's why it was either burnt or tasted dried out ! After a very busy Sunday of doing chores and such we decided to order pizza for dinner. We downloaded the app and picked two pizza's. One large meat pizza and one medium thin crust vegetarian pizza from their menu. The only item we added was double cheese on the meat pizza. Went to the cart to check out and the total for delivery before tip was over $70.00+!!! For two pizza's??? NOPE. We had delivery from Pizza By Robert in Westlake. We ordered our pizza at 5:45 PM and waited 2 and a half hours for our pizza order to come. On the website, or order was supposed to be delivered on feb 4th at 6:45 AM, ALMOST 12 HOURS PRIOR TO EVEN ORDERING. We assumed that was just a mistake on the website. After about an hour and a half (at about 7:00) we called the store to see what was going on, we had multiple workers pick up the phone to look for our order. After almost 20 minutes we were told the website had said a completely random delivery address. We were told we would be getting a whole new pizza free of charge. Once it finally came, the delivery driver told us the original price of our order and tried to make us pay. After he called the manager, she told him we have to pay. Antonio's wasn't around when I lived in this area, and it's too bad because it's sooooooo good! My brother had been raving about their pizza, so I figured I'd check it out since I'm in town for the week. We ordered a chicken, spinach, and Alfredo pizza and a pepperoni and sausage pizza. First of all, this wasn't just regular old pepperoni and sausage. It was "old world" pepperoni - the really small, thick, amazing little pepperonis. And the sausage was amazing. The red sauce, omg. Perfection. And love the crust. The Alfredo pizza, again, had a great sauce and crust. My only complaint is that the pepperoni and sausage pizza is really greasy. Like, dab it with a paper towel greasy. But overall, this has to be one of the best pizza joints in the area, hands down. read more

Whenever I travel outside of Detroit for work, I always enjoy trying new places to eat. Been in town for 2 1/2 weeks and wish I would have stopped in sooner! Ordered up a small spinach artichoke dip pizza and added chicken. WOW, AMAZING! You can definitely tell there's quality and freshness. Needless to say I'll be letting the rest of our crew know and will definitely have to try another pie before I leave. Almost forgot! Quick review of Antonio's Pizza in Avon. Their small pizzas are great but the large pizzas tend to be undercooked in the middle. Salads are okay. If you do curbside pickup, be prepared to just walk in anyway because the drivers as they walk out won't even look at you and the cashier literally just stands behind the counter staring at you, no one asks why you are waiting at the curbside pickup. When we looked at the menu and found some great unique pizzas, I was not expecting the hole-in-the-wall that was their store front. The pizzas were really good though! We brought them home for about 15 people and they were ready in less than 25 minutes. We had the potato skin w/ bacon, tri-pepperoni, portobello Sicilian, and half sheet cheese. Every thing was yummy, the crust on the round pizzas was not too dense and the Sicilian deep dish was Mmmm Mmmm! I would be very happy to have this as my local pizza joint. First of all, kudos to the folks who were working here on a recent weekday night when my family decided to stop in and eat on premises. Although they have tables and chairs set up in their waiting area, we didn't think they were accustomed to having people actually eat in the store. However, that was our only option at that point, and they were happy to oblige. No complaints about the hospitality or service! As for the pizza, it was good, but as a former east-sider, I've had better. I would certainly order from Antonio's again (and we're curious about their fried chicken), but I'll continue to be on the lookout for our new pizza joint. Attempted to make an online order through mobile and also my desktop. The ordering pages are convoluted, muddled, and are not user friendly. After finally getting the order in, I attempted to pay online using the worldpay option. It errored out over 4 times while processing the payment, leading into a payment failure. Each time it failed, the cart and order was cleared out and I had to enter the order in from scratch. Eventually I called the store directly and was able to place my order over the phone. The wait was stated to be an hour for delivery, which is fine especially for a Friday evening. It took nearly 2 hours unfortunately because somehow my address was not transcribed properly over the phone, leading the driver to another town some how even though I clearly stated the address on the order originally and phonetically spelt the address as well. It was overall very frustrating and unfortunate. The pizzas were cooked well but were almost room temperature at delivery. I think if I were to order again or recommend to a friend, I would suggest only doing pickup. read more

I have had friends rave about Antonio's and I receive their flyer in the mail all the time so my wife and I thought we would try it out. This store is in Avon and we live in North Ridgeville, but it's only 6 miles away. I ordered online to deliver and it said they don't deliver to my area which I thought was strange since they mail us the flyer every month. Fine. I then decided to order online for pickup. It took the order and said 20 minutes. That was 505pm. I headed that way. The store is next to a grocery store and I needed milk and got that first. When I got to the restaurant there was a line of at least 6 people ahead of me. By the time I got to the register at 535pm (30 minutes since I ordered) they said it wasn't in the oven yet and would be another 12 minutes. Several other people I talked to had been waiting for their pizza as long as an hour. In the mean time drivers were coming and going at a rapid pace. 20 minutes later I inquired again and they just ignored me. After any 10 minutes or so I inquired again and just as the girl was turning to check the manager brought up my order. "Here ya go!"...no sorry for the wait or nothing. OK, now I'm home and we get to try the pizza, garlic Parmesan wings and Mediterranean salad we ordered. The wings were cooked, but the sauce was not that strong, mainly because it didn't seem to be sticking to the wings. The pizza (original, sausage, mushroom, broccoli, pepperoni) was OK, but I would rather have Zeppe's or Theresa's. The crust just didn't seem to have an pizzazz to it. Very plain. Also, the pizza was cut in a hurry and not very well because when I picked up a piece it tore the toppings off. We had to recut it. The salad was good though. This place is just simply impractical. My brother and I just wanted to get some spaghetti to take into the movie theatre. But when we took the spaghetti out to put into our ziplock bags, the sauce spilled everywhere. They put it in sideways in a brown paper bag which might be the worst way to pack spaghetti. Bad customer service and an even worse spaghetti policy. Not only were we late for the movie because I had to clean spaghetti sauce off my shorts and change into a new pair, but the movie wasn't even that good.
