Had a great experience. Probably best way to write this review is to list all the wonderful things I was happy about: - Moving office was communicative and responded to all my questions/emails in a very timely fashion. - Was easy to apply for a price quote, with an intuitive form and options for pictures. - Price quote was prompt and accurate: it didn't change either before or after the actual move, and even though it was flat, the movers didn't slack off because the price was already set. - Lots of leeway in the move to fit my needs: for example, I needed furniture disassembled, and a one-day move, and Anton's helped a lot with both points. - My movers (Garphil and Serg) were on time and extremely polite. They showed care for my items/furniture. Because of my travel schedule, they had to move into the new place without me actually being there (I had a friend supervise), and when I finally showed up, everything was perfectly set up for me, and stored in an easy to unpack method. - The movers were clearly professional and with experience, loading items and disassembling furniture very quickly. They wrapped any sensitive items that looked like it would need it (wooden furniture, TV screen), and knew how to load stuff onto the truck so that it would be both fast and safe (loading my entire room took about 40 minutes from arrival). Had a great experience, would definitely recommend/use again. For comparison, I requested a single-day move from an elevator building in Boston to an elevator building in NYC, in the late fall. (The NYC apartment was on a busy street, but they seemed to have no issues.) read more

Update: I've moved twice with this company now and have had no major issues. My move started later than expected once (the start time was 8-9 AM, and they had told me they'd meet me at my building with my belongings from storage at 9:00, but they didn't start packing up said belongings until 8:45--so still in the window, but not what they told me), but that was the worst that happened. I would happily use them again if doing another local move in the Boston area. read more

I needed last minute movers and Anton's Movers were available and offered 3 movers for $125/hour. We used movers last time we moved and it took nearly all day. The online estimate we received from Anton's was between 4-6 hours. I had a lot of stuff and moving ourselves didn't seem like a desirable option since we're both so busy with work... So two days before our moved, I book Anton's Movers. Our entire large, 2 bedroom apt was moved from Southie to Dot in 3.5 hours. This included the two pieces of furniture that had to be hoisted onto our balcony, my boyfriend's music equipment, several fragile pieces, and dozens and dozens of boxes. The three man team that showed up were very efficient , friendly and professional. Hoisting was only $20/piece, which seemed very reasonable. I was so thrilled that the move went so quickly that I looked over a couple small things: they were 45 minutes late and I had to call to track them down (stuck in traffic, I'm sure, but a call would have been nice since I was sort of panic stricken that they might not show up!), there is a 3% charge for the use of credit cards (would've been nice to know beforehand since I was just using my debit card so I wouldn't have to carry all of that cash around), and they brought a really small truck. If our move did take as long as the estimate suggested, there is no way that truck would've worked since we had to carry a couple things with us in the car anyways. But I was so thrilled with their professionalism and speed that I was happy to let these things slide. I tipped very generously because I will definitely want to use these folks again! Great guys but the reason why I am only giving three stars is because pieces of my furniture fell along the way and I felt like my time was stretched. I have to admit, I was a little worried about hiring movers for our latest move. I have used moving companies before for long distance moves twice and had such awful experiences that I swore I would never hire movers again. I only had a local move this time, but between a recent back surgery and a 1 year old running around I decided I had to hire some one and cross my fingers that it would turn out okay. These guys were amazing! I only hired them to do part of the move, because I was worried about going over budget if I got stuck with slow workers or extra fees for all sorts of stuff... I wish I had them do everything!! We have over 2000 square feet of stuff including some very large and heavy furniture... They moved really fast, a lot faster than me and my friends could have! The got more of my furniture and belongings in the truck than I expected and faster. They only stopped because the truck was full! (and when I say full... I don't think you could have gotten another pillow in there!!) In 5 1/2 hours with 2 men they got a full 16' truck moved from point A to point B... (2 hours of that was travel time between the locations!) They were professional, and friendly. Absolutely no complaints at all and I have already recommended them to frineds and family with upcoming moves. They took the stress out of the move completely! Thanks guys!! read more

These guys were amazing! They said they'd be at my home at 9AM and at 8:55 they were in the driveway of my building. Yury, Pasha and Denis were three clean cut young men who arrived in a clean truck with all the necessities for a move from Boston to Southern Maine. They wrapped each piece of furniture with care and took extra precautions with some of the antique pieces, keeping them in a dedicated part of the truck for safety. They were courteous, strong (they moved two heavy armoires with no problem) and professional and I couldn't be happier with the whole experience. Best part was they undercut other quotes I had gotten by hundreds of dollars. One large, well established company gave me a quote that included an EXTRA $600 for bringing a 26 foot truck instead of an 18 wheeler. Another added $100 as a "fuel surcharge!" They were completely nuts! They also wanted to charge me extra for the rolls of strapping tape for the furniture (Anton's included that in the cost of the move). Do yourselves a favor and use these guys; THEY ARE THE BEST! read more

i was extremely skeptical despite my friends' recommendations, especially since i had never up to that point used a moving company. but Anton's Movers really impressed me. they were friendly, efficient and QUICK. these guys were seriously running up and down the stairs WITH stuff. sure it could be dangerous, but they seemed quite capable and everything was done in a surprisingly short amount of time. if you're not looking to spend much and want good, efficient moving services, i would definitely recommend these guys!! read more

I honestly can't think of anything negative to say. These guys were AMAZING!!! They were on time, efficient, professional and super helpful. They took such great care of our things that I was simply stunned. I've had terrible experiences with moving in the past so I wasn't very hopeful. These guys completely changed my opinion and I would hire them again In a second. I'm going to recommend them to everyone I know because they were that good. They literally wrapped every piece of furniture and made sure to take extra care of the glass and leather (which we had a lot of). They never slowed down for a second. I never once felt like they were milking the clock or not moving fast. One of the guys even skipped steps going up and down the stairs. The total move took longer than we anticipated and I never once heard any complaints or anything. I even felt bad that they were working so hard but they just kept smiling and moving. I've used Anton's Movers twice and I love them. Yes, they're cheap, but they're conscientious, they show up on time, and they do what they're supposed to do. They're all super-friendly, although my experience has been that only one person out of a two- or three-person team will be really comfortable in English. (I speak Russian, sort of, so this works out fine for me.) I found them through a chain of recommendations - a friend used them ("Your grandmother was Ukrainian? So was mine!") because a neighbor of hers recommended them ("your boyfriend has left you? You will find better boyfriend! We will move you out of this bad boyfriend apartment!") and everyone's been really happy with them. read more

Anton's is a great moving company!! Our movers showed up a few minutes early and were immediately ready to get to work. They carefully wrapped and protected our furniture, moved everything carefully and were helpful and patient in where they placed everything and in helping us set it up at the new house. Let me also say that this was a multi step move that involved driving to a different state over memorial day weekend. Our two movers were very nice and had great attitudes which made the move seem even more easy and enjoyable! The price was fair and they got things done efficiently. These guys were great!!! I requested a 1 day turn around to move my mom's furniture up from NY on a Sunday morning to an assisted living studio apartment in the Boston area. They were able to accommodate my request and do it in one day. Arrived in NY at 9:30am, efficiently packed up and were back on the road north. Arrived in Boston by 3:00 leaving us with enough time to set up the place. They called 30 minutes before arriving in NY and again 30 minutes before arriving in Boston. Between my boyfriend and myself, we have used Anton's Movers 3 times in the last couple of years. Last time was just a month ago, when Manny and Gusak moved my kitchen furniture and appliances to my basement, to empty the place out for remodeling. We've very happy with their work every time. I've heard so many horror stories of movers that jack up the rates after they load their truck, and keep your stuff until you pay them, that it's nice to have someone whose rates are good, and always stick to the price they quote. I am thinking of getting a piano off Craigslist soon, and you know who will be doing the moving. :) read more

The team at Anton's Movers just helped us move a ridiculous amount of belongings about 40 miles to our new house. What could have been an incredibly painful experience was relatively quick and easy due to their help. Although we haven't unpacked everything yet, we noticed how much care they took handling our belongings and wrapping the large pieces of furniture. Anton's movers were great and quick. Never underestimate experience, because these guys definitely know how to move. It was my first moving experience using movers so I was a little hesitant to dish out money for them. Most of the movers I looked at were $100-$130/hour with truck and these guys were $75! They came right in the middle of the time slot they said they would come, they moved things quickly, they were professional and courteous. It amazes me that the couch that took my brother an I an hour to get up only took them 10 minutes to get down. In addition, they were very accomodating as we had 2 locations to pick up from. Surprisingly, everything fit together perfectly in the truck. In the end everything was moved safe and sound. I would definitely use these guys again. read more

I am super impressed by my movers today at Anton movers. They not only showed up on time, but called to see if they could come a little bit earlier. When they got there, I told them I was concerned about time; I wanted to get our one bedroom apartment all moved out in 1 hr and then moved in in 1 hr. To that, they said, "it shouldn't be a problem, we'll work fast." And literally within 5 minutes the 4 movers had all of the boxes out of our apartment!! They got the rest out within the hour time frame and it all moved into our new apartment in exactly 1 more hour. It is hard to gush enough about Anton's Movers. They are the best. First of all, I HATE moving. I find it one of the most unpleasant experiences, and Anton's incredible prices convinced me that I could just hire movers and be done with it, which was absolutely, 100% the right decision. Great things: - They made the move as easy as humanly possible. I did not carry a single box. I didn't even have to stand there while they carried boxes. They just loaded and unloaded the truck like angels. Somehow they found a spot to park the truck on my teeny-tiny West Village street. They are seriously incredible. - It was easy to schedule, they were super flexible (someone sat on the phone with me trying to figure out the optimal price / timing pick-ups and drop-offs. And was really nice about it). - Best price around and it is a real price. I got no additional charges, no fuss, no muss. - Nothing broken or messed up in any way - they were better to my stuff than I am. They had blankets and protectors for the furniture, which was good, because I had not thought of that. - When I was an idiot and forgot to use the Yelp deal I had purchased, they just sent me a refund check in the mail. - The movers themselves were really nice and easy to work with. Bad things: - Nothing. Use Anton's Movers. It will make your life so much better. - I believe I may have declared my love to the movers out of happiness, which I am slightly embarrassed about. (P.S. I can't sing their praises enough! A co-worker recommended Anton's Movers based on her great experience using them for 6 different moves. From the first phone call to discuss my move and provide an estimate, the company demonstrated amazing customer service. All my phone calls were returned promptly and all my questions were answered. On the day of the move, three movers came and immediately jumped to work. They were so efficient, careful, hard-working, and friendly. My apartment was cleared out and the move was completed in a few hours. I have been telling everyone about how great this company is and recommending them to friends looking for movers. I needed to move a few pieces of furniture from my sister's apartment in NY to my house in the Boston area. It can be hard to find movers who will small jobs like this one, but Anton's Movers were great. Called them earlier this week and scheduled for this Sunday. I assumed that Winterstorm Nemo would cause them to cancel but they went ahead with the job--no small feat for just $250. Tony was great, very nice and professional and gave us some tips on how to install the wall mounted wall units (which they took apart in my sister's apartment and did not charge me). I should also add that these pieces belonged to my grandparents and hold great sentimental value for me. Tony and his partner took excellent care with my pieces. I could not be more happy with my experience with Anton's Movers. This was the first time I've ever hired movers, and I'll never go back to doing it myself. I absolutely hate moving, but the guys from Anton's made it much more bearable! Booking online is easy, and Anton or Tony will call you shortly after to confirm and get a little more detail about the move. I decided on the 12pm-2pm timeslot, but Manny called that morning to say that if I was ready, they would start early. Manny and Sam arrived shortly after 9am and got started right away. They were professional, fast, and friendly, asked questions when they needed to and wrapped my furniture so that it would not break or get scratched. After loading the truck, we went a mile down the street to my new apartment. They quickly unloaded everything and put all the boxes in the rooms that they had been labeled. My sectional couch was a bit of a pain; it took them about 30 minutes and multiple tries to get it in the house, but they reassured me that they would get it in; when it was finally on the floor in the living room, we all gave each other a quick high five and they were back to work. It took them about an hour longer than they had quoted, but I have to admit, I had a lot more stuff than I anticipated, and the couch fiasco ate up a bit of that time. Even with the extra hour, the cost was still less than half of the other companies I got quotes from. I cannot recommend Anton's more highly for a fast, friendly, professional and affordable move! read more

We decided to use Anton's after reading all these great reviews but will not use them again. On the plus side; they were on-time, friendly while they worked, organized and reasonably efficient, wrapping our more delicate furniture pieces and mostly everything came unscathed. They also didnt insist on any particular tip. On the negative side, they ended up costing us an arm and a leg. There is a reason their per hour rate is so low. When I called them to discuss how long it would take, I was told it was unlikely to take more than 4 hrs. It took almost 7. They broke the speaker we had attached on top of the TV and forgot to mention it so we only noticed it after they had left. On top of that, they broke a window in the building moving the couch and then refused to pay for it when we got the bill from the landlord. After a few weeks of phone calls and emails, they agreed to pay only half the cost. So next time we will probably go with a more professional moving company that gurantees a maximum time limit and has a contract that covers the cost of any damage caused directly by them. We ended up paying $800 to move our 1 bedroom apt furniture 3 miles. I am disappointed that we didnt have great an experience with them as everyone else did. I would probably have been ok with the time issue and the damage to the speaker if they had behaved professionally about paying for the damage they had caused. read more

They called with follow-up, and called on the move day with updates on times. The three men were friendly, and efficient. I was impressed with the blanketing and plastic overwrap done on each piece. I found Anton's Movers here on yelp, and found it hard to believe that everyone had such a positive experience, but was proven wrong. Everything about the move was efficient, professionally done, and pleasant. The crew showed up early, took very good care of the furniture and boxes, did not leave without making sure there wasn't anything else that needed packing/carrying, and put everything in place at the destination. No damage, no drama, and at a very reasonable cost. I'm telling everyone I know about them and will be back for future moves. read more

I hired Anton's Movers for my move from Framingham to Boston. Right from the start their customer services was excellent. The website is very easy to use and I was able to book my appointment. Soon after, I received an e-mail and phone confirmation. The day of the move, the three movers were there early, packed everything carefully and efficiently, and were at my new door step within an hour! I couldn't believe how quickly they worked.
