This was the first time I'd ever hired movers and I am happy to say it was a positive experience. I moved in with my now ex-best friend and her bf at the beginning of December and completed that move by myself with a u-haul truck. I got a studio apartment's worth of stuff moved 40 minutes away in 6 hours... but I couldn't stand up normally for about a week afterwards. 2 weeks in, things start getting nasty, 1 month in I'm staying with another friend for safety reasons. Having the self moving experience fresh in my memory, I am not all that keen to do it again. And I would also like some witnesses present just to ensure my safety during the process. These guys were the highest rated and their price was in my range, so I booked. So super easy. They allow you to book online, no calls required-as a night owl introvert that keeps odd hours, this is important. You get a quote, which at least for me was super accurate. You can add things to your moving profile like specific heavy items and their weights, how many rooms/what size of apartment you're moving, whatever just to let the movers have a generalization of your moving situation. You can even upload photos. Confirmation is also all over email and you're not required to respond to anything, which I found super convenient. They gave me a time frame for which they would show up from 8am-10am and I got a call at 8am on the dot that they were on their way and would be there in half an hour-which they were. Once they showed up, it was all super, super swift. I offered a little help carrying the lighter items like my banker's boxes full of stuff, but they moved my heavier items like bed, total gym and treadmill SO easily that I questioned my gym routine. Also, in case this is an issue for you, they were super, super sweet and polite. Holding open doors for you, introducing themselves with a handshake, getting right to work, asking if you need any special treatment for your items like wrapping... which I didn't, I have a collection of walmart/target/ikea/amazon/purple furniture that can fall apart and I wouldn't care, but they offered and that was nice. I had some paperwork to sign and keys to get at my new place and I asked if I needed to stick around while they unloaded stuff and lead them to/follow them to the new place. They said I was good to go after they confirmed the address they would be driving to. I'm not going to lie, I worried they might just relax and make themselves at home if I wasn't supervising. Not even slightly the case. They had the heavy furniture left to go when I left and I'd only just finished the paperwork and unloaded what I'd put in my car so it would all be a little faster when they showed up at my new apartment. Super swift they carried the same load up the stairs and were efficient, but gentle with all my belongings. They'd even figured out how to *properly* fold up my total gym, which had alluded me when I was trying to do it myself with instructions before they showed up. I still even needed the directions to unfold it again afterwards. They are good. All in all, my 1 room move came to 1 hour of actual moving time, the total came to a good amount less than what they'd quoted me for and they give a discount for when you pay in cash which made it even less. I was so grateful I gave them the total initially quoted amount anyways as a tip since with that kind of reasonable moving price they couldn't possibly make as much as they deserve. I can't compare it to other moving companies, but I would pick them over buddies helping me move any day of the week and would highly, highly recommend them. I have no words to explain how responsive, speedy and comfortable Mozart was when i made from Massachusetts to Pennsylvania. From the scheduling of the move till the end of delivery and unpacking of my furniture and things, everything was smooth,reliable and accurate with the best quote given by a moving company in Massachusetts. There are no hidden fees or service charges added to your quote and you even get a discount for paying in cash. For my move, before arriving at my place, Mr. Yan called and gave a heads up on their arrival time and even in the rainy weather, 2 people arrived at my door step at the exact address with 20ft truck without asking for driving directions from me. Then, i had to just tell them what all things need to be move leaving behind my landlord's own furniture and then i just sat relaxed as they started moving things one by one. The movers were so synchronous and efficient in packing and protecting the items with the blankets that it looked like a ballet dance all in all. My king size mattress, bedframe and 3 seater sofa were all packed perfectly and held firm by belts tied to insides of the truck. All other things were placed and aligned according to items held within them. The whole loading took 1hr 30 mins for them to complete with total dismantling and packing all large furniture, dining chairs and storage racks. Next day, 2 men arrived 45 mins earlier than what they had informed me off in the morning and asked me for placement of each items within the new apartment. Then it took them 1hr 30 mins for them to unload and assemble the furniture at places we had shown them earlier. Not a single item was damaged during the move and i was immensely impressed on their coordination and using agility in ways we would have never imagined if we were to do the move by ourselves. Not a single moving person ever shrugged, complained about the rainy conditions or showed discomfort in moving items. Once completed, i paid up in cash and yelp vouchers to get the additional discounts on quote price and off they went happily without even making noise in the neighbourhood. I thank Mr Yan and his team for making my move stressless and for having delivered my 1 bedroom apartment goods safe and secure even in the most un-suitable rainy weather with the atmost attention to detail on each piece of furniture and packed items with perfect wrapping and handling. I will definitely use their services again and will recommend them to anyone who are planning for their next move within east coast region. read more

EDIT: At first I hadn't had the best experience with Mozart, but Yan reached out to me personally and addressed my concerns. He told me that the individual mover had been working his last shift and wasn't representative of their company as a whole. Yan offered to refund a portion to compensate for the missed services. I really appreciated his personal outreach and willingness to right what was wrong. Because of this, I wouldn't hesitate to move again with Mozart in the future! Original review: Mozart Moving got the job done, but I was a little disappointed in my moving experience. I had chosen the company based on the understanding and agreement that my furniture would be disassembled and reassembled. I specifically messaged them asking if they provide this service, and I was told "yes, disassembly and assembly included." However, my roommate oversaw my moving as I was out of town, and I came home to furniture that was not reassembled. My roommate had asked the movers if they reassemble furniture and if they could build the bed, but they said that they do not usually assemble furniture and had only disassembled it to fit in into the truck. Immediately after, I contacted Mozart Moving telling them about the situation and they said that they would remedy it by sending movers to finish the job and assemble the bed. I immediately responded with my availability, but they didn't reply for about 3 days and when they did reply, they asked if they could come over that day rather than responding earlier to set up a date/time that would work for both parties. Additionally, on the quote/information I'd submitted prior to moving, I clearly stated that we were moving into an apartment on the third floor, but they seemed to complain and told my roommate that "they don't usually go up 4-5 flights of stairs," although again, we were on the third floor which was previously stated. They also lost the over-the-door hangers to my over-the-door mirror. When I contacted them about it, they said that they would check, but have not gotten back to me after the fact. Mozart Moving Company moved us over Memorial Day weekend into our new home in Arlington, MA. This is the first time we've ever written an online review, but after our wonderful experience we decided the inconvenience of a few minutes writing this and creating a yelp account were worth it. I got quotes from several moving companies in Boston, and Mozart Movers were definitely the lowest. That said- I was nervous and wondered if maybe the lower price was going to equal a lower quality of service. We almost canceled our reservation and went with an established company instead, even though they were going to charge more than double! So glad we decided to stay with Mozart Movers. Yan double-checked on our home address the night before and assured me they would be promptly arriving at 7am. (What other moving company gives you an actual time?! I've moved in Boston 7 other times in the past 12 years, and I was always given a window of about an hour or two for the movers to show up.) Our three friendly movers arrived right on time at 7am, and finished our large move at 12:20pm. There were no hidden fees at the end, and we ended up paying them UNDER what our original quote was- tip these guys well- they work SO HARD! They took one short break, and the rest of the time they did a fantastic job carefully wrapping our furniture, carefully handling our boxes, carefully paying attention to our labels on boxes saying which room on which floor to leave them, they lost no parts to any of our furniture that they had to disassemble and put back together, I have since unpacked all of our wedding china and NOTHING is broken, they took care to not knock into any walls or our window-paned front doors, they politely asked to use the restroom once or twice, and when they couldn't fit all of our stuff into the truck, they enthusiastically said "no problem!" and quickly went back and forth for a fast pick-up of the last of our stuff on a second trip. Oh, and a week after we moved, we received a beautiful hand-written letter thanking us for choosing them and welcoming us to our new home. Who does that?! Mozart Moving Company was referred to me by a friend who had used them for their recent move and was very satisfied. To do due diligence, I researched and got quotes from multiple moving companies in the Boston area. Mozart's quote was the best but other factors also contributed to their selection for our move. The travel time from the office before the move and back to the office after the move is a fixed rate. In addition, there are no charges for moving supplies used such as tape, blankets, plastic wrap, etc. The website provides the capability to specify a detailed inventory. Shortly after I requested an online quote, I received a followup call from Yan, explaining the details of the quote and answering any questions I had. The move was from a 1 BR 4th floor apartment in Plymouth, MA to a 1 BR 1st floor apartment in Melrose, MA. The moving team that day was Paul and Eugene. They arrived within the first 30 min. of our time window. They did an excellent job wrapping the furniture and were very efficient loading the truck. They took great care in handling all items. Upon arrival at the new apartment, they reversed the process, reassembling the bed, and placing the furniture patiently as we directed. In addition, they helped us unload miscellaneous items from our car by using one of their moving bins so that we could bring all of it inside in 1 trip. This was a huge help for us. I have moved mid-July with Mozart Moving Company, fantastically run by Yan. I had searched the entire internet for quite some to find a *good quality* and *not expensive* moving company. I had found another one, based on the Yelp rating, however, when I called them to make an appointment, the lady on the phone was kind of aggressive and pissed off from my questions on how the system works with the company. She wanted to book the appointment as soon as possible. This threw me off dramatically, and since I had some very bad experiences with moving companies in the past, I kept looking. Then I ran into Mozart Moving Company and called. I talked with Yan and he was so calm and going overboard to book for me an appointment that would work for my schedule and theirs too. He made it happen! I felt truly comfortable and new that this was a right company to go with. The price was good as well. I strongly recommend Mozart to you for your move! I have used Mozart Moving three times now and cannot say enough good things about them!! Yan and his team are skilled, efficient and super nice. We moved out of our house of 20 years and when I say that we had a lot of stuff, I mean we had A LOT of stuff and a piano! During the move Mozart took the time to place things where we wanted them and took great care of our possessions. Ours was a hard move and when it was over I was asked "is there anything else we can do for you?" Now, that is great customer service! The second time we used them was to move things out of our new house into a storage pod so that we could get our basement finished. I was a bit concerned that we wouldn't have enough space in the pod for all of our stuff, but Mozart packed the pod with such skill, seriously it looked like a giant Tetris game, that we had a bit of room to spare. After the work on our basement was finished we had Mozart come back and move our possessions from the pod back into the house. It was raining and they had to walk through the yard to move the things into the basement. I was worried about my new floors, but once again Mozart took great care of us. Smooth long distance move! I used Mozart Moving to move me out of Boston (July 2015), store my stuff for two weeks, and move me into a third floor walk-up in North Carolina first week in August. Their quote was lower than estimates I got from three other companies and way below POD which would require me to pack the POD myself. I corresponded with Yan via email leading up to the move and he was very thorough in answering all of my questions. When I realized I had a few more boxes than I said I did in the estimate, I let him know and he said there would be no extra charge. They arrived on time and quickly loaded my things on their truck. They wrapped everything that needed to be wrapped (e.g. couch, chair) and took apart everything that needed to be taken apart. Yan pointed out a few things that might be problematic during the move (e.g. my jewelry armoire has a wobbly leg) while they packed and took proper precautions. They arrived in Durham a little late and he called about 30 min ahead of the estimated delivery time to let me know. Upon arrival, they placed boxes where asked, and put everything back together perfectly. The only think I noticed was one of the handles of my plastic storage container was slighly cracked (but still usable). I was very reluctant to hire movers but decided last minute to hire instead of doing the move myself. I turned to Yelp to get some recommendations. Mozart was the first one I called because of the good reviews I read. After calling 3 other moving companies I decided to go with Mozart off of the good reviews I read. When I called to confirm I was rest assured with the confirmation that I received via email. On move day I received a call from Edwin that they were on the way. The showed up the apartment complex with their moving truck. There I met Team Mozart (Edwin, Bova and Yura) and they started on time exactly as promised. After a quick tour of my apartment 2 bedroom (with loft) apartment on the third floor and mind you NO Elevator they went to work right away. This Team worked like clockwork with professionalism high on their priority. They took away the anxiety that comes with moving by staying on top of their game. Even without an elevator these guys was able to get the job down in less that 5 hours start to finish from Peabody to South Boston. If you are looking to move and want peace of mind go with Mozart. Mozart moving wasn't our first choice, but honestly it was amazing. I had a big move from NYC to Boston and the other company I had contacted was giving me a ridiculously high quote. On a whim my boyfriend contacted Mozart Moving based on their outstanding yelp reviews. I was definitely a bit skeptical because they seemed like a much smaller company. Best decision ever. Nico and his crew (total 3 men for a one bedroom apartment) arrived early and were ready to go. They clearly knew what they were doing. They walked in and started wrapping the furniture, large items. I had already packed everything else. I was honestly taken aback by how efficiently they managed everything. My mom and I literally sat on the floor watching as they managed to move my entire apartment into their van in an hour. Mind you, this included dismantling the bed, putting the large paintings into boxes, and wrapping moving blankets around all the furniture. They had brought equipment to pack, wrap, etc. They were polite, professional, and most of all QUICK AS HELL. Everything arrived in Boston in great condition. We used Mozart's to fully pack and move our 1-bedroom apartment from Cambridge, MA to Manchester, NH. The 3 guys were incredibly proficient and professional. They brought everything needed to fully move us out and in. I'll share 2 stories to emphasize that your search stops here, just hire them. 1. I usually get sports drinks and granola bars for movers we hire. I did the same for Mozart's and left their snacks on our counter. Because only my fiancé was there when they arrived and he didn't emphasize that the snacks on the counter were for them, they had already packed the granola bars up before I was able to tell them it was for them! They're so efficient that they packed up their own snacks. Thankfully, the sports drinks hadn't gotten packed yet and they were able to partake of some fruit punch. 2. We have a credenza with shelves that are kept in place by 4 tiny metal posts. For the move, they removed the shelves and taped them up for safe transport. A week later after we moved when I finally installed the shelves back, I was about to ask my fiancé where the posts were after untaping the shelves when I realized they had taped all the posts together in a package with the shelves themselves. I was referred to this company by a friend who had used them and was very pleased with the experience. I received quotes from multiple companies and they were all within $100. of each other. Only two of the companies were local and willing to move me in a small truck dedicated just to my move which I saw as a big advantage. Mozart kept in contact leading up to the day of the move and showed up promptly in the AM as promised. They were meticulous in their protection of our furniture wrapping everything and loading it onto the truck so it would not shift in transit. The move was from Natick Ma to New Haven CT so I was surprised that they arrived in New Haven about the same time as we did and were ready to unload promptly. The unload went as efficiently as the loading although it was more work because they had to move up through an elevator. There was no damage at all and the two men worked continuously to get the job done. They even helped us put the bed together and shifted furniture until we were happy with the placement. In the end the cost of the move was what they had quoted and I am completely satisfied with their service. I was one of the first customers that Mozart Moving had 6 years ago and I must say they are still a "top notch" fantastic moving company that deserves an honorable mention within their industry and here on Yelp! The movers arrived as planned and right away began wrapping my furniture and items for transport. They were courteous, efficient, responsible and wasted no time as they worked diligently to wrap and cover all of my furniture and items. They were very careful with a few antiques I had, a large mirrored armoire in particular, as they maneuvered the item out of the bedroom and into and through two other small entry ways to ensure the item was safe and sound and wrapped and ready for transport. The entire team was upscale in their communication and there was no "dilly dallying" around. They continued to work hard for the 5 hours it took to complete my move from wrapping all the items and transporting them and then unloading the items safely to their final destination. I highly recommend Mozart moving and will utilize their services again and again because they are so awesome! Alex and Nick did a great job! I used Mozart for an interstate move from Boston to NYC and the entire experience was painless, which is huge when you're dealing with everything that comes along with the moving process. Both apartments in NYC and Boston are 4th floor walk-ups and they still got it done in about 45 min both times. Highlights of the experience: - They come prepared with a bunch of packing accessories just in case you end up needing it, free of charge. This included moving blankets, which they used to wrap every single piece of furniture I have, packing tape, and boxes - Flat rate that was very competitive - Punctual and even flexible with timing. I told them to call me if they could come any earlier than the quoted window and they actually remembered and called when they were able to come earlier - They really took care of my belongings. They took notes on my inventory for the NYC team and even opened the truck door overnight for a beautiful large plant they knew I wanted to survive the move without me asking them to do so! They could stand to improve a few small things about the confirmation process but even that didn't stand in the way of this 5 star rating. read more

I had never used movers before and went with guys based on a recommendation from a friend. THESE GUYS WERE AMAZING. My boyfriend and I moved in together so we had them go to his place in Somerville, mine in Cambridge and then brought everything to our new place in Back Bay/Kenmore. Granted we only gave them big furniture items that we didn't want to carry/couldn't fit in my sedan, but travel time included these guys were done in 3 hours (included assembling and disassembling my queen bed). It was also a 90 degree day and these guys were beasting through. I got them gatorade and they didn't even drink it until they finished, so they're clearly not trying to nickel and dime you while they're on the clock. I originally tried to call for the quote since we had the "complication" of two places, but I ended up filling out the online form and then they call anyway to discuss so I was able to mention it then. I will absolutely be using these guys the next time I move (please don't let it be for a while) and will happily recommend them to anyone who ever asks. read more

We sold a second home, bigger than our year round home, and needed to move the contents from a beach community in MA to a suburb of Albany, NY. When searching for movers, some responded, others didn't. Yan from Mozart responded quickly, offered a quote...and stuck to it. Moreover, his quote more than $500 less than any other. When his team arrived, they were completely professional and pleasant. Every item was carefully wrapped and treated as though it was a museum piece (which wasn't so). Upon arrival at the destination(s), they were receptive in relation to the placement of furniture and were more than careful. Also.....some items were delivered to our daughter's home, and others to ours a few hundred feet away. There was no extra charge for the second stop! Our furniture was moved and stored as requested, again, in a most professional manner. We used Mozart twice during our move from Boston to Brighton. We could not have asked for a better experience! The first move was NOT easy. The two guys had to go up 4 flights of stairs carrying very heavy stuff on a hot July day. Not a single dropped or damaged item. They then had to pack all of our stuff into a tiny storage room. I was doubtful it would all fit and started to panic, but they made it work with inches to spare. It saved us SO much money that they were able to do that and we didn't have to upgrade to a larger storage room. The second move felt like it took minutes. The only bad thing that happened was that we misplaced the screws for our dining room table, so we had to go out and get new ones, but I'm sure that was more my fault than the movers. All I can say is that they were perfect and I will hands down choose them over any big name movers in Boston. 1st, due to price, they were just so reasonable, and 2nd because they just did a great job for us.
