Mindblowingly great movers. I had a three-man team help me move a one bedroom apartment, and the whole thing took less than 3 hours, including driving in rush hour traffic on a Friday. Obviously everyone's situation is different depending on how much stuff you have, but these guys are hustling the entire time, and know how to be extremely efficient with their load/unload process. They were also friendly, asked questions instead of making assumptions, and offered many times to relocate heavy items for me after we made it to our final destination. And of course, everyone was COVID-safe and had masks on. We had AMAZING movers from this company. It took 2 hours and 45 mins for them to load us in Boston, drive to Manchester by the Sea (45 min), and unload us in Manchester! I thought it would take twice as long/cost twice as much. They were hustling. They were also professional, careful, and accommodating. There were a few remaining items we had run out of packing materials for (e.g. mirrors) and they carefully wrapped and moved them. Moving can be SO stressful, but these guys arrived 10 minutes early, worked professionally, carefully, and beyond efficiently, and it was a very fair price. I rarely write reviews but I had to say how great Safe Responsible Movers were during our move. They arrived on time and did quick work. Unfortunately, the truck that they had gotten wouldn't fit all of our stuff. Our items were bulkier than they anticipated and we had some large wardrobe boxes. So they had to call in a backup crew that was close by. The owner Chris was with this crew and they took the remaining items in their truck. They made the whole process as easy as possible and charged very reasonably for the extra work they had to put in. They were professional and courteous and made us feel very comfortable throughout the process. These guys are great! Used them twice in the past two years. They show up on time, are incredibly efficient and careful with your belongings. I have no hesitation in recommending them. The booking process is easy - you fill out a form to tell them how much stuff you have and how big your current space is (that helps them determine how big a truck their crew will need). Then you agree on a date via email. It took 4.5-5 hours for our 3-bed apartment. Rates are competitive for the area and it's a good value when you think about the process of renting a truck and the exhaustion from moving your own stuff. Can't recommend these guys enough. 3 of them showed up early (after they called), got right to work, made extremely quick work of our ~500 sq foot apartment (I think to get it all in the truck was just over an hour), and got the move completely done in 2.5 hours without nary a complaint or comment. They were attentive to where things needed to go, sensitive to what needed to be treated carefully (they broke down a table to wrap it up in their movers blankets and then set it back up at the end), and very communicative (asked if it were OK for them to stop at Dunkies between places and let us know we wouldn't be charged for that time). There was very little casualty, everything important made it intact (just a broken cup or two probably due to the way I packed it, and a new small ding in my massive old wardrobe that already had a bunch of dings in it from prior moves). Rates are extremely fair and competitive- and it's worth it to pony up to have them pull parking permits-, and honestly IMO there's nothing they could have done to do a better job. We recently used Safe Responsible Movers to move out of my daughter's one bedroom apartment in Framingham, MA to Waltham, about a 25 minute drive. There were about 30 boxes to move plus living room and bedroom furniture. I have never seen three people move so quickly and efficiently. The furniture was wrapped and fragile like TV screens were blanketed. The three young men took one hour and a half to pack everything and including transportation time an hour an a half to unload the stuff and place it where we wanted it. The price was very reasonable. I moved units within my building, which is a fairy easy move. However, I have some bigger pieces of expensive, heavy furniture that my friends and I are definitely not strong enough to move safely. Also, a lot of the pieces required un-assembling to move. I hired these guys for $50/hr plus a $25 travel fee (cheap!). Chris was really quick to respond over email and schedule me (love, since I hate phones). Because of the blizzard, their moving schedule got a little messed up and they moved me back later in the day (asking me for permission first). When they finally got here, I have to admit that I got a bit worried because they were 2 fairly skinny hipsterish-looking guys with 2 tiny dollies. However, once in my apartment, they took off running. (I even texted my mom after 20 minutes and said, "whoa! the movers are speed demons!") They finished the entire move quickly and easily, and even humored me when I had no idea where to put the furniture. I asked them to move things around and their opinions on the various arrangements- they didn't seem to mind at all. They were incredibly friendly, incredibly efficient, and incredibly strong. They were optimistic the whole time and I never heard them complain once. They were also quite thoughtful- at one point, Chris asked the other guy to help him unload something a certain way and actually said, "I don't want to scratch the floor". Overall, they impressed me so much that I gave them a bigger tip than I had planned. Next time I move apartments, I am definitely calling these guys. I really wish we weren't so frazzled on the day of the move so I could remember the names of all the guys on our crew. I have moved probably about 10 times in the last 20 years and this crew was the absolute best - and in a pandemic, even. We are moving internationally which made the move more difficult, more complicated, and more stressful. The crew leader showed up with the instructions from our international move coordinator in-hand, having already read them thoroughly. He also tessellated our stuff so perfectly that we were under by 2 whole feet in the truck. A number of times they went above and beyond - like moving things around the house that weren't going on the truck, coming back to add one more item we forgot (which entailed pulling down the ratcheting and wall and everything. And with a smile - and no extra fees! Add to this that they also coordinated taking some of our furniture to a friend in Arlington in addition to loading the truck. They kept masks on (properly!) at all times and couldn't have been kinder, or more empathetic throughout the process. Not to mention super efficient and diligent. And the price! This was BY FAR the best value for the dollar I've ever spent on movers. Ever. I can't recommend them enough. read more

I wanted to write an update. These guys are still just as great, kind, efficient, and professional as they were two years ago when I previously needed their help in a move. It's honestly worth the money to have them help acquire a parking permit (should it be in one of the areas they advise/offer to help in getting one). My new address happened to be in one of those areas and it was a relief to worry about one less thing during the stressful packing/movie period. The rates are still the best I could find, especially for the care and attention received during the move. All questions were answered in a very clear manner, and they patiently helped me go through my list of concerns regarding the move when I called them. They plan to arrive within a specific time block, and call ahead of time to keep you informed of any delays. The day of my move they had another client scheduled earlier that morning. They realized the move was going to take a bit longer than anticipated, and were quick to call me & give me a heads-up. They weren't late by any means, they just happened to arrive closer to the middle of the time block (of arrival) they'd given me - which was fine! They come prepared to help wrap furniture as needed, so there shouldn't be any concerns there. They are experts at maneuvering large/heavy furniture down multiple flights of stairs or a strangely built hallway corner. I was a bit worried about two items mainly based on how heavy they are. These guys wrapped the furniture, made sure to handle each item with care, adapted their plans as needed, and moved everything very efficiently. This is probably obvious to say - the company also encourages it - but if you can be as prepared as possible on your moving day (everything that can be in boxes are prepped), the move itself goes quite quickly. My first move was across town and took about 2 hours total. This recent move was just to the next town over and literally took less than 90 minutes from start to finish. Unpacking, of course, took a bit longer - but that was to be expected with any sort of move. Once at the new address, they unload everything into the rooms you've requested. On my moving day it was particularly hot, and they made sure to help me install my window AC unit before doing anything else. (I had mentioned it at the start of them loading everything at my old address, and they kept every request or concern in mind - without any reminders - as they unloaded everything into the new space.) I cannot stress enough how great these guys are. This company is fantastic and truly live up to their name. read more

I received a mailing from them after I put my condo on the market. I'm usually pretty leery of people who use direct marketing but after reading their Yelp reviews I decided to hire them for my recent move. I'm really glad I hired them and recommend them. They moved the contents of 3 storage units (two 5X10 units and one 5X15 unit--that wasn't all the way full) to my new 4-level home about 30 minutes away. Pat, Eric, and Aaron showed up exactly on time at the storage facility and were very efficient. They took good care of my stuff. They were willing to put my belongings anywhere I requested but because I had not marked my bins and boxes very well it was hard for me to accurately direct them in my home. Also, I wasn't sure exactly where I wanted my furniture to go so I just had them put everything in random places. This was all my fault and not theirs. I wish I had been better organized so that they could have put things in the appropriate places. I asked them to move a very long couch up to the top floor and they tried really hard but it wouldn't fit up the stairway. There were about 4 marks from the couch on the walls and door frame from the attempt; Eric offered to take a picture and send someone to do touch-up work but I had a handyman coming so declined. It was really my fault for asking them to attempt to move such a large couch up two stairwells, and there wasn't anything beyond damage that can be painted. They were quick, efficient, friendly and helpful. I enjoyed working with them and would hire them again. The overall price was very reasonable; I also gave them a generous tip in cash. They work very quickly and their skills at maneuvering furniture around weird corners or small spaces are pretty impressive. I really appreciate their flat fee for travel and their fees are perfectly reasonable even on the 1st of the month. During my first move, my TV broke in transit despite thorough wrapping/packing.
