I see a lot of doctors and and specialists, Dr Anupam Chahal is my favorite Doctor I see, she has that Personal touch, she is always so kind, listens and shows real concern. I wish she were my primary care doctor so I could see her more for all my healthcare needs, but she is a specialist and can only treats me for my rheumatoid arthritis. I Highly recommend her, she's one of those doctors that really cares and listens. By the way, her front office staff as busy as they are, they are always available to help and they always smile. This doctor is a butcher, stealing money from Medi-Cal, not treating patients, just seeing them, charging insurance then see them again in 2 months.. She could care less about her patients. I came in to see Dr Chahal with so much discomfort from joint pain, headaches, memory issues, light sensitivity, dizziness. I honestly think I overwhelmed her . She been my Dr for several years and truly think she brilliant. Her staff was very well organized as well as professional. I was a bit repetitive with my symptoms and pretty desperate to get answers , Dr Chahal or se real test as well as x-rays, I was set up to come back in two weeks. I feel as though she always is very thorough and will get to the root cause of my months and months of struggle with these terrible symptoms. My primary had Ben making an effect to test me as well. I found it was an Inviting reception. Nice office. I was not crazy about waiting 45 mins in the little room for the Doctor to come in but knowing how hard it is to find a Rheumatologist I understand the how busy she is. I am not new to RA being diagnosed 8 years ago and truly needed a DR who understood my situation. Doctor Chahal spoke to my needs and gave me the exact care I was looking for. 3.5 is closer to what I think...the staff is wonderful and know how to take care of business. Dr. Chahal is knowledgeable and friendly. My one concern, and, I feel this is one of the most important of any doctor visit and that is the time they spend with you. She summed up my medications, asked about any pain, etc., suggested I cut down on one of my meds and then got up to leave. I ended up asking three questions, and each time she was almost out to the door, came in, closed the door slightly, then turned to go only to come back in two more times. I felt rushed. She did not feel any of my joints. I would see her again, but I will have my questions at the ready. read more

It was nice to find a good Rheumatologist in Manteca. My initial appointment went great. I wrote a medical journal about my rheumatoid history and turned it in with the pre visit forms and she read it and thanked me for the detailed journal. She knew a lot about my conditions and has some action items in place to get me treatment back on track. read more

Dr Chalal and her staff are very nice and professional. They would be given five stars if that's all you're rating. However, the office not having a patient portal as far as how other medical practices have moved into the 21st century with communicating with patients is very disappointing. Another concern is prolonged wait times. My experience has been it doesn't matter if you get there early before your appointment you're going to wait even longer to actually see the doctor. I wonder if it has to do with the type of insurance that a person has. But sitting and waiting 30 minutes in the waiting room and then being taken to a room and then waiting another 30 minutes you begin to wonder if there is a problem with scheduling or again is it the person's insurance that determines how long they wait. read more

Office staff was great. Didn't have e to wait for very long for anything. The nurse who took my vitals was very personable and professional. Dr. Chahal was amazing! She listened to my concerns. She also offered a practical solution by giving me a couple of cortisol shots to address my knee pain right then. I was given referrals for additional tests and a follow-up appointment, which the office staff had waiting for me. All in all a great visit! read more

Dr Chahal's staff were warm, friendly and efficient upon check in. The nurse took time to listen to me while documenting all of my history and the symptoms I have been dealing with for years and never had concrete answers for. I have been searching for answers, seen several doctors and finally have someone to listen and tell me that they hear me and will help get to the bottom of what is going. The entire staff is always professional yet friendly. Sometimes the waiting area can be a little crowded. Dont usually have to wait long tho, so that's ok. The main thing is Dr. Chahal. Kind, caring, she has helped me so much. I didn't even know there was anything that could help me. But she tried couple meds, found the one that works, and now so much better. She's competent, caring and gives clear directions. She solves problems quickly. She's very personable. But be prepared to wait 45 minutes to an hour after your appointment time. It's ok for me except that I have to reschedule transportation sometimes. As for results she's a good rheumatologist. read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE DR!!!!!!!!!!! If you'd even call her that. I don't even know how the medical board hasn't taken her license. All my drs keep saying I have lupus; PCP, cardiologist, bariatric dr, pain management; and when I bring that to her attention just because my numbers aren't "what she wants to see" she's extremely rude and unprofessional. Extremely dismissive. I told her I can't get into UCSF until January and she said "it is what it is." & then when I told her in tears that I just need help and want to feel better, she said "YOUR PROBLEMS ARE NOT MY PROBLEMS." I had called my mom mid appointment to have her listen to the way I was being treated and my mom was in disbelief. Let me tell you, once she said my problems are not her problems, I lost it. Do not waste your time with this doctor. Period. Unacceptable behavior. I wish I didn't even need to press one star because she doesn't even deserve that. Oh and she was recording me without me knowing, if anyone else has had this encounter with her, she needs to be reported to the medical board ASAP. UNACCEPTABLE. read more
