The gym itself, although on the smaller side, has been great. There are 6 treadmills, 6 elliptical machines, and 3 barbell squat racks but as for the rest there is only one of each machine. I've had my membership a few years now, most of which I was going at night time 10pm to avoid a crowd. That was good but was interfering with my sleep so I started going in the morning usually 8am. Now despite the fact that there is only 8-12 people during the daytime you will still find 2-3 people using multiple machines at once like a circuit training, instead of doing all of your sets on that machines, wiping it and moving on. This is horrible etiquette for a smaller gym with only one type of machine or equipment and there are no rules posted to discourage this. I wish these people would join a larger gym if they want to do circuit type training. Not great when you're on a time crunch waiting for a machine while someone is across the room on a totally different machine but have their towel and water bottle next to the machine holding their place. Something else I personally don't mind because I'm there to burn calories, is that I usually have to put other people's weights away, re-rack plates or organize then jump box's and kettlebells to clear an area before I use it if it's a Friday Saturday or Sunday. My complaints are mostly with the behaviors of the patrons which I know is not the fault of anytime fitness, I will be switching for a larger gym with more equipment in October. I will see if cancellation has any issues as other reviews have mentioned. I did have a small mixup trying to cancel back in June when I found out my contract was on auto-renew every year if you don't actually cancel the auto-renew option it will start a new year contract every year instead of going month-to-month after the initial one year contract signed. So I had to actually pause the membership at the next gym I'm going to in order to finish this second years' contract I was unaware I was signed up for. I'm sure it's in the fine print. The gym is great if you catch it with few people or totally empty it feels like a personal gym which I loved. The good thing about anytime fitness is you can use any location nationwide when you have the membership, which I visited several in austin, FM 1826 ended up being my main location for majority of my membership. read more

Overall the gym is kept very clean and the traffic never really gets to busy busy which is great in a sense that you can get your entire workout done without waiting for a machine or weight set. It's not very big but it's big enough to meet my needs at least! If it were just a bit more roomy, it'd be better but like I said before, it doesn't really get busy so therefore you don't really notice that the machines are kind of crammed together. read more

Great little local fitness center that is open 24 hours. Not the largest place but it has everything that you need. Because it's a smaller establishment the parking is always going to be easy and it's better for locals versus going to the bigger Golds and Lifetime down the road. I'm updating my review because new management took over late last year and have cleaned the place up. There was a renovation that removed the studio area and replaced it with more weightlifting options. The bathrooms are now all unisex (which can be annoying when men leave toilet seats up) but provide more options if one of the bathrooms/shower rooms is occupied. They've also added battle ropes and a sled, although the space they can be used is small and can get easily cramped if people want to use them at the same time. read more

Best gym experience I've ever had. I recently moved out of the area so I can say that both signing up and canceling my membership were so straightforward. Gym is not very large, but also usually not very crowded, even at peak time. Plentiful selection of barbell, dumbbell, racks, pulleys, cardio and even a power lifting station. I am not a person that gives bad reviews lightly. However, I need to warn others that we have a scam issue. It has now been 3 months since my visit to cancel my membership and I've been charged each month the full fee. The staffed hours on the website are not adhered to and there are no returned calls as I've asked for help. I have had contact with the staff (a trainer onsite) and the response was he would refund the first two months and send a confirmation email. That never happened. It's on me that I didn't get any of this in writing, but it should never be this hard. To top it off...today, I've received an email that I need to update my credit card on file as it will be expiring at the end of the month from the finance company they use. I'm out $125+ so far....this is infuriating. I will visit again tomorrow and start getting more parties involved. After visiting the consumer affairs website, this is all too common for this company. Please be warned. For the gym experience: it was OK and serviceable for the first few years. It has become quite dirty on the machines I've used and needs a deep cleaning. read more

I'm not usually one to leave a negative review for a business, unless I feel it's warranted. I've got to say, this is the worst Anytime Fitness location I've been to. Issues I noticed: 1.) Every TV on the cardio machines has literally 1 working channel (fox) and every other channel is broken static, which when flipping through channels you're blasted with deafening white noise if you had headphones plugged in. 2.) Wi-Fi is misconfigured/not working. Signing into the Wi-Fi OR using the Guest Wi-Fi will take you to an ISP sign in page instead of allowing you to access internet. This means you have to use your phone data if you want to use it there, and the reception is horrid given the location of the gym. 3.) 2/3 of the elliptical machines I used had loose bolts/parts which would rock the machine around while using it - a sign the machines and equipment rarely ever receive proper maintenance. Disappointing and dangerous. . 4.) Many of the machines, especially the treadmills, are covered in dirt and grime, I couldn't even find wet wipes available to wipe down equipment. 5.) As others have mentioned: They are missing several weight lifting machines/equipment which you will find at other Anytime locations If this were a gym that charges $10/month, I wouldn't be here writing this. But the fact that Anytime charges ~$45/month. It's clear whoever is in charge of this location has neglected most aspects of a proper gym. Buyer beware. . Look elsewhere. read more

DO NOT JOIN. Horrible service and communication. I've called, emailed, and gone in person to cancel my membership months ago. I was promised it would be canceled, but I'm still being charged monthly. I've called over 20 times a day and gotten zero responses, meanwhile other owners at different clubs have been very responsive and willing to try to help out. Love this neighborhood gym! The staff is super friendly and the place is very clean. I love having a TV on every piece of cardio equipment. I get to catch up in all my shows while getting fit. If you are the kind of person that likes to get in and get your workout done this is the place for you. This is a small gym as gyms go but I like it. There is still plenty of space to do your routine without being in the way of other people. There is a good variety of treadmills, ellipticals and bikes depending on your needs, usually without any wait. The staff is friendly and laid back and willing to help you in anyway possible.
